“This place used to serve Dalian cuisine, but in the past two years it has changed to Hong Kong dim sum, which is really good. My two daughters love coming here to eat. There are not many dishes, but they are all delicious. Every time, I must order preserved egg and lean meat porridge, chicken feet, sesame balls, fresh meat rice rolls, and barbecued pork rice rolls. It's available for takeout, but it's still fresh and delicious. David is very friendly. It has the fireworks of Guangdong and Hong Kong, as well as American hospitality. I hope to become a long-established store and keep it open.“
“Came here for dim sum, as that's what it's known for. Ixlb has a few locations including this one in Hollywood. Located close to all that fun stuff just to the east on Sunset. A typical fast casual concept. This is a place you order on the screens and it's ready in a few minutes. A chain restaurant feel to it, but there's only a few locations around the city. It's for sure not authentic Asian, but it's not that bad to be honest. The menu is kind of limited in choices, which helps limit the waiting. Ordering is done all by the customer. You choose the items by using the screens, and then you pay for it there. It's about $5 for the dim sum. The Vegetable Dim Sum is the choice for vegetarians. Basic looking. These are pretty good size and filled though. Gets better with the chili oil, good stuff to dip into. The rest of the menu has things like chicken and others. For a fast food type of place it's not bad. It's actually pretty good in terms of flavor and price. There's a limited menu but there's some things for vegans and vegetarians.“
“This is our second time here and the food was just as good as the first time we went there. It’s my husband’s favorite spot for beef noodle soup. The pan fried buns were crispy on the bottom and soupy on the inside (perfection). Try the honey green tea! It big enough to share between two people. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for delicious Taiwanese food! They also have a nice parking lot (unlike most places in LA).“
“So good!! Food: Amazing. I ordered the assorted yaki gyoza (veggie pork chicken and shrimp) and it was so good I ordered 6 more pork gyoza. Perfectly cooked with a nice crisp to the bottom, amazing flavor, and so juicy. They have different ways to prepare, I think yaki, maybe steam (don't quote me) and in the soup. The soup was also really flavorful and good (and hot haha watch out). They also have a ton of side sauces to choose from, but I love the basic ponzu. Better gyoza than a lot of ramen shops (IMO those usually have too much garlic) and reminded me of great gyoza spots in japan. Price: dude so cheap. I bought food for two people: an assorted bento, an assorted 6 piece, rice, and edamame for around $30. Ambiance: super chill, decent amount of seating, not super loud and can have convos easilyCustomer service: super friendly, explains everything, super cute drawings on the containers, quick as well.I think it's fairly new so business is still trickling in. Hoping they thrive so that I can keep coming back, I'll definitely be craving this again very soon.“
“What an awesome little restaurant that popped up here. Was looking to try something new and found this amazing little bao spot. The most amazing thing is how they fry these bao. The bottom is hard and crunchy and the top is soft, making a soup filled bao in either seafood, curry or the standard pork. They sell them in quantities of 6 and 2 to 3 is enough to fill me! Highly recommend a quick lunch or dinner here, you won’t be disappointed in the authentic flavors.“
“I’ve visited the one in Cerritos many times. This one is more traditional in terms of design and layout. The tables are a bit uncomfortable on two sides because the table jams into your leg. However, the food is to die for. The food is so good. Stop by and have some dim sum. The string beans are also amazing.“
“I loved the place, very cute hall vibe but unless you know what the whole set up is. You really come in blind I tried so hard to communicate but was unsuccessful. And it showed on the check paid for it but it was really good just wish things were described or explained better I wish I knew the language but I don't but there was a really friendly staff that spoke Spanish. And she made our stay really worth while so did the food. Next time i will know how the wheels turn“
“First time trying dim sum around this area and it did not disappoint. Came here on a Monday afternoon and there was no wait. The waitress seated us right way. The food came out quickly and was piping hot so you know it's fresh out of the kitchen. The food and drinks were served with paper plates but don't let that fool you because the food was delicious. I'm a big fan of the chicken feet, it might be scary to others by the looks of it but it's very flavorful. The baked BBQ Pork bun with puff pastry was my favorite as well, the sweetness of the bbq pork and the puff pastry is a sweet and savory combination that you must order. The Scallops Pork Shrimp Siu Mai was something I never tried before. Scallops in a siu mai? I never had it before but after tasting this combo, I've became a fan. The Sticky Rice Seafood Shrimp Ball was an unique item that was filled with shrimp, and sticky rice with a bouncy texture that I never thought that I would like but ended up enjoying. I also tried the egg tarts, rice noodles with shrimp, green leek dumplings, sesame ball with red bean, deep fried dumpling and baked BBQ bun all were solid and a staple at dim sum places. There was plenty of parking in the underground parking lot. Service was face and friendly. I would definitely be returning again for dim sum.“
“This is a nice and simple no frills place, you go in, you point to what you want and they package it for you to go. No sit down area. I didn’t see a menu explaining any of the dishes, so I was a little confused on what to do when I initially arrived. Please be prepared to order when it’s your turn, otherwise it might be a little intimidatingThe food though, so good and good price for dim sum with great flavors“
“My wife and I had an amazing dinner experience at Chin Chin! The host greeted us warmly and immediately. We ordered the new Garlic Chili Crisp wontons and they were so delectable. The broth the wontons came in was delicious and had the right amount of spice, we couldn't resist finish it like a soup. My wife and I decided to share 3 entrees. The Crispy Spicy honey chicken, General Tso's chicken, and Vegetable Fried Rice. All were top notch! The highlight was the General Tso's chicken recommended by our fantastic server, Omar.Omar's hospitality was grade A! The manager also came by to check how we were doing and made sure our dining experience was going well. Outstanding service by all. Great establishment and the cherry on top was that there was easy parking access off of the busy sunset strip. We will be returning very soon. Five Stars!!!“
“The food was delicious!! My friend and I ordered 6 different plates because we couldn't narrow it down to a few. My favorites were the wonton soup and the lemon pork. The chicken fried rice was also good, uniquely salted, which we both enjoyed. The only downside was the service. We got food but no water or drinks that we ordered until we couldn't find our server for 30 minutes, and the gal bussing the tables helped us. It happens. We will be back because we have more to try. The menu's enormous.Parking: Park behind the restaurant.“
“First time dining in at Lunasia Pasadena and it won't be our last! We attended an event at the Pasadena convention center on 3/9/24. We walked around to find a good place for dinner and Yelp guided us to. Lunasia. We checked in and got on the waitlist. A few minutes later, we were greeted and got seated. It was nice to not have to wait for a while as the restaurant seemed busy. We placed our order online and not long after, our food started to arrive. Everything was delicious! We ordered a lot! Shumai, hargow, seafood pan fried noodles, salt and pepper suid, salt and pepper pork chops, orange chicken, shrimp eggrolls, pork soup dumplings, deep fried chicken wings, pork puff and sesame red bean balls. Everything was tasty and delicious! How you expect some food to be crunchy, they were crunchy! Those that are supposed to be moist and juicy, they were! The flavors of each item were on point! Can't stop talking about how good the food was. Prices are comparable to others. Servings were good portions. Service was friendly and efficient. The staff worked as a team and they took care of everyone that needed anything. The ambiance was also great. Modern and clean. They also have an upstairs so they can accommodate large groups. They are located in Pasadena on Colorado blvd. We parked at PCC for $15 and it was worth it. It was close to a mall and other restaurants. If you haven't tried Lunasia and you love shumai, you have to try this place bc you will love everything about it!“
“Such great Chinese food! I'm glad they're open on Tuesdays now. I usually get pick up for Chicken Fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, or Shanghai noodles. The food is always perfect and delicious. Today though... I ordered SnS Chicken and when I went to pick it up they had told me they are no longer mixing the sauce in because it gets soggy. I love it soggy!! And it's not even soggy. Just a perfect sauce mix ratio. So who ever complained about it being soggy... you just ruined it!!! I'll order it next time and ask that the sauce is mixed in.“
“I've been coming here since 2018, and I come here at least once every month. For me, it's the only restaurant I visit consistently! As I get bored with most places I eat at. The food is great, but be warned, bring a buddy bc they serve you feast style. You can't just get one side. You gotta get a minimum of 3 sides, and so bring a person with you to enjoy it fully! Nice and quiet, and has an old-school feel without all the drab. I really live eating here! The dumplings are great! I recommend uuhhh any of them!“
“I loved it. The dessert sesame paste filled buns are amazzzzing.I would only suggest they ask you first if you want ice in your drink, because its brought with ice by default (like anywhere else here ?) and it would be nice to remind you that they could make it withouht it.“
“We had a great experience at Dumpling House! 4 adults and 4 children ordering lots of things. The service was wonderful and the owners were so friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and came in good time. The ambiance was calm with soft colors and cute decor. Mostly, we just felt at home and left so full and so happy. I can't wait to come back.“
“We went here on Sat around 12:00 noon. The plaza is doing remodeling now. You only can take elevator to the restaurant on the 5th floor. You check in with a lady and she gives you a ticket with a number. You wait in the lobby till your number is called. The service is slow and you need to be aggressive to ask for food, and services. Overall experience is fun and food is good.“
“The size of their dim sum is double of other restaurants or take outs. Cash only keeps their prices reasonable. They also offer noodle dishes but I come specifically for the shumai and har-gow.Parking: Parking gets tight during busy hours but service is fast, depending on ur order so people vacate the parking spots frequently.“
“This place is great, I came across this restaurant while spending some time in the area. I wish they had another location closer to me, but now it's my treat whenever I'm in the area! Food and service has been excellent every time I've been there!!“
“Stopped in here because traffic report said 2 hours home. Early on a Wednesday, nobody here. A little concerned I took a seat with my Dad and hoped for the best. It's mid-week after all... Service was excellent! Henry was our server and he was great! He was super patient and went through everything for us. Sure the place was empty but it's evident that they really care. And the food was even better! Wonton soup had the perfect amount of pepper, and a nice blend of unique wontons, chicken, shrimp and vegetables. Soup dumplings also excellent! The honey prawns were terrific and the rice was some of the best fried rice I've ever had! Best part was the tea! Must be a secret recipe.... Sorry I didn't take pics of the food, was too hungry. But the tea presentation in the cast iron pot and the lovely dishes are attached. When we left at 7, the place started filling in with guests.... Not bad for a Wednesday! Very happy to see that because you want a great place like this to do well! We will be back....“
““The best Cantonese Chinese restaurant in LA Westside is right here!”LA's food is diverse.Chinese food is one of the most popular food genres, so popular that there is a Chinese restaurant on every block, but strangely, there are almost no proper Chinese restaurants in the West area of LA. For me, as a Korean, this is truly a sad thing. Meanwhile, a new Chinese restaurant opened on La Cienega Blvd, where high-end restaurants are concentrated, and I visited it five times during my one year in the United States. And when I left the U.S., it became the restaurant I was most sad to part with. Let me summarize my visits to the restaurant.#atmosphereFirst of all, everyone from Usher to the servers are Chinese. It is quite rare to find a restaurant staffed entirely by Chinese in the Beverly Hills area, but the staff here is made up entirely of Chinese, as if boasting a certain authenticity. The interior has a neat and luxurious atmosphere as if it were a restaurant located in a high-end restaurant area. The spacious and open interior, bright lighting, and white tablecloths are clean.#menuThe menu is great. As a seafood restaurant, there are lobsters, crabs, clams, shrimps, fish, etc. and even a variety of roast duck and dim sum menus. Every time I visit, I order a variety of different menu items.#lobsterIn the United States, when you order lobster, most people give you Maine lobster. (The one with the big claws we commonly know...) Perhaps because I visited in early January, I recommended Australian lobster as the holiday special lobster. The server boasted that it was much bigger and meatier. So, I placed an order, but I was a little nervous because the price was cheap. The lobster the server brought out was a monster lobster that was difficult to hold with one hand (I'm regretting not taking a picture for a long time). My wife and I agreed to order the giant lobster we only saw on TV.- Two offers – freeFirst of all, I asked for it to be cooked with the house special sauce... and the server made two special suggestions.1. I will cook the tail with special sauce and the head and legs with Chinese soup.2. Laying noodles under lobster dishes looks amazing.I said OK to both suggestions and waited for my food.- Special sauceLobster The lobster cooked Chinese style is amazing, and the sauce here is really delicious.A classic dish with a salty and slightly spicy taste! The amount of meat was huge and the meat was chewy, so I was very satisfied. In addition, the egg noodles under the salty sauce are soft and a great recommendation to satisfy your carbohydrate needs!- Lobster SoupThe light lobster soup with a subtle ginger flavor was refreshing. In addition, I added nurungji to make it <lobster nurungji stew>, and the combination of the cool seafood flavor and the savory nurungji was surprisingly excellent.- seedsEven if the seeds are thick, will they be this thick?I usually don't eat lobster legs, but on this day, the lobsters were so huge that I was really surprised that the peeled lobster legs were as big as my finger. Plus, the lobster leg meat was really chewy, making it more fun to eat.- priceI thought it was a really good price since it cost 250,000 won in our money for being this size and cooked like this.#Clam_Basil #Stir-fried Basil ClamBasil is used a lot in Chinese cuisine... especially when combined with clams, its power is doubled. As this restaurant specializes in seafood, the basil seeds are huge. It is not the small clams that are used in soup at Korean clam kalguksu restaurants, but larger clams than your thumb. I am delighted by the size of the clams and amazed by the richness of their flesh. Isn't the perfect combination of the scent of basil and pepper and garlic the most delicious shellfish dish in the world? It's a happy dish that makes you feel like you're doing it.#Beijing_Duck #BeijingDuckAlthough it is a seafood restaurant, the barbecue lineup is also excellent. What's unique about this restaurant's Peking duck is... The carving method is similar to carving c“
“Arrived at 8:30 with no reservations. Waited about 1 hour for a table to open up. The check-in process was very efficient and you'll get a text when the table is ready. This location is in a mall so you can kill an hour easily. We were sat "outside" but it felt cozy with heaters and covered/private even though it is right next to Central Ave. (A main thoroughfare). Service was quick, friendly and efficient. You can fill out your own order on the slip provided, and then a server will review it with you to make sure you get what you want. They were great about communicating how the trays will be brought out, since they bring them out in stages to make sure you get them warm and fresh. Everything was fresh and tasty. We ordered 2 trays of soup dumplings, green beans, & potstickers plus a lychee green tea. Also the special sticky rice cooked in a taro leaf. So yummy. A+ for food and service. It was very busy and a bit loud so the atmosphere for me is nice, but no so chill. Still a solid B ++. Give it a try. You'll have a good time. Try something new.“
