“Owner has great hospitality! We did have to wait for a bit since we went on a Sunday, but line moved at a reasonable pace and was organized. Food was warm though the xiu mai skin was thicker than we wanted. Highly recommend fried shrimp dumplings and steamed BBQ pork bun :) would consider go again!“

“The best items we got here were definitely the dumplings, which are like soup dumplings, and the crispy pork buns which also had plenty of broth inside. I thought those were super unique, never had something like that before and I really enjoyed the crispiness of the bun. We also got the popcorn chicken which was fine, but a little bit oily and heavy to me, while the pork soup was very light and tasted very clean. Would definitely come here again, truly enjoyed the meal and it was uniquely Taiwanese.“

“What an awesome little restaurant that popped up here. Was looking to try something new and found this amazing little bao spot. The most amazing thing is how they fry these bao. The bottom is hard and crunchy and the top is soft, making a soup filled bao in either seafood, curry or the standard pork. They sell them in quantities of 6 and 2 to 3 is enough to fill me! Highly recommend a quick lunch or dinner here, you won’t be disappointed in the authentic flavors.“

“My friend and I were staying at the hotel across the street and we wanted Chinese food, and this was the first place our eyes settled on. You wouldn't expect it by just looking at it, but this place is actually so good! We got the pork and beef stews with egg noodles. The flavord were subtle but definitely not boring. The staff was so nice and patient despite a bit of a language barrier. I am surprised that it wasn't more busy, they definitely deserve the business.“

As usual it was delicious and fresh- but they are using an app now to order and they really thought about the customer when they made it because you can add or remove any ingredient on every dish and if it's not listed -there is an option to write a note with your request. I know this seems basic- but I have encountered alot of apps that wont let me add or specify how I want it - like if I want it cooked well done or extra toasted.
I liked the option to choose what side or sauce (like their fresh cut ginger or chili oil) and how many I wanted and if I needed plates or utensils.

“This restaurant was a go to place for my mom in the early morning cuz it opened at 8 am. The dim sums was decent but it lacked varieties so choices were limited. Almost all dim sums costed $5.28 per dish except few bbq n special items.

Parking: During weekend around lunch time, it was difficult to find parking nearby the restaurant.“

“Visited here for the first time and loved it. Easy parking, very nice setup (we were a group of 3- and lots of large round tables available). The menu is large and fun to choose from, and they have a nice lunch special of various small dumplings for $5.50 each- fun to order one or two before the main course arrives. The lunch courses came in about 10 minutes or so, but in the meantime we enjoyed the dumplings and the hot tea. The food quality is very good. Tip- I recommend ordering a few dishes, and sharing it with friends- makes is a lot more fun. Go if you can.“

Honestly, the Lunar New Year vibe in Los Angeles isn’t always about lanterns or decorations —

Before the Lunar New Year, I took my family to this Cantonese restaurant in Alhambra.
The environment was very comfortable, with spacious table spacing. You hear Cantonese all around, which feels truly authentic. The service was steady and reliable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Their dishes aren’t flashy, but they’re the kind you can keep eating without getting tired of 👇
🍃 Lotus leaf–steamed frog: light and delicate, very tender, and easy to enjoy bite after bite

“Wow! Meat pies from heaven in a mini- mall off N Garfield Avenue. Everything here is great. Not a sit down place as such, since it's really small and they only have a few tables, but I'm sure you could eat in if you wanted to (they have a short menu) - but it's not really a restaurant atmosphere - more of a small hole in the wall family run takeout, with Grandpa making dumplings by hand at a table when I was there. There seems to be very little English spoken here. Very delicious and authentic - I'll be back!“

The tea taste was very generic, charged my 10yrs old tea count(told me all tea count over 4yrs old), old school dim sum cart is authentic and give it a thumbs up because a lot of restaurants are no longer doing dim sum carts no more. Haven’t tried other seafood yet, but the noodle with lobster was too small and over fried, that’s what you may get for a special I guess. Total gross charge of $60-$6tax-$6tea count= $48 net with 4 dim sum flat fee of $5 plus a lobster noodle for 4 people sounds very fair. Only need to improve the food and tea quality bit more toward a higher end quality seafood restaurant with more attractive pricing.“

The noodles were cooked just right and had a good consistency. They could have added a little more bean sprouts. “I bought half a roast duck. It tastes good and is just right salty. However, I suggest you put the roast duck juice in another container or use a more airtight box. I bought the roast duck a few days ago and I was more careful when handling it, but the juice was still there. It leaked into the bag...and there is no duck neck in it. I don't know if it is not included or if I have to ask.“
