“I had heard amazing things about this winery from other locals in Sonoma, but finally decided to check it out for myself! Laura was amazing in helping me select/book our tasting, as they have so many incredible options. We decided to book the ‘soaring’ experience, which included the most delicious, unique, flavorful food and wine pairings. I am truly still dreaming about every food pairing we had, I felt like I was in a Michelin star restaurant. The curry was definitely the star of the show for me, but every single bite/sip we had was truly exceptional.
Allie warmly welcomed us to the winery and made sure to encourage us to enjoy the (STUNNING) grounds both before and after our tasting, while handing us a delicious glass of bubbles to enjoy.
Taryn and Michael were the most personable, knowledgable hosts- we really enjoyed learning about the wines/winery, but also just talking and laughing with them. We never had empty glasses or had to wait for service- they were perfectly attentive while still giving us space to enjoy our experience.
The entire staff was very generous during our visit, including a few extra tastings of their personal favorite wines. I really appreciate that they invite every type of experience you could want- whether that be enjoying a bottle with friends while playing a board game, or treating yourself to a special food and wine pairing experience- all at a very welcoming price.

“We spent a few days in Russian River and had a recommendation to visit Bruliam Wines. We signed up for a tasting and had a WONDERFUL experience! Our tasting was just the two of us and Kerith the winemaker. Her wines are excellent and we learned a lot about the region. Kerith also gave us a tour of the winemaking facility, which was fascinating. We HIGHLY recommend taking the time to visit Bruliam Wines! Kerith’s passion about what she does and being able to spend time with her was a high point of our trip.“

“When we stayed in the Sonoma/Healdsburg area, our resort concierge recommended that we try Gary Farrell as one of our wineries to experience while we were in the area. This was our first stop and it was an amazing winery- only open for reservations only (no walk-ins).

We arrived a few minutes before our tasting and were warmly greeted by the host staff and shown to our table, overlooking the beautiful Russian River hillside area. The views from the winery are absolutely outstanding.

We learned from our host that the owners of the Gary Farrell Winery don't own any of the vineyards, they only procure the grapes and they're the wine maker. The wines were all drastically different and some of the best Chardonnay's we have had on any of our tastings we have done in Napa.

The host was so knowledgable and very warm and friendly. We went away with a new found appreciation of their winery and purchased a bottle of wine to take home with us for a Christmas gift. Gary Farrell is truly an amazing winery and I highly recommend trying it if you're in the area! We look forward to returning!“

“Sept 18, 2025 my wife and I were on our 1st full day of California, Napa, Sonoma, Santa Rosa, Petaluma area- WINE Country after traveling from Ohio. We were given the recommendation to visit the Harvest Moon winery after visiting Balletto Vineyards- which was exceptional. We drove in and were the only ones on the patio as work- grape crushing- was going on outside. The beautiful area appeared to be smaller and more intimate and not as commercialized as Balletto which suits us fine. We sat at the outside tables and watched three guys at the crush pad unload bins full of grapes into the crusher. We were in no hurry so we watched the interesting process intently while relaxing. After a short time the proprietor Randy came off the skid steer or tractor and greeted us. We went inside the tasting room and he proceeded to explain what they were doing outside in the tents and the about the wine flights we would enjoy. I had the red flight while my wife( Beth) had the sweet dessert white flight. We sat outside at the tables, enjoyed everyone of the wines in the flights, enjoyed watching the process of crushing the grapes, taking the stems and extra(s) in one bin and checking out the bins full of crushed grapes...with dry ice.. I had to have an explanation of this which Randy did. We had an very enjoyable experience in the totally relaxing atmosphere, while Randy as the working man he is did his thing to make the wines we were enjoying. During a break from crushing the grapes Randy asked us our thoughts of the flights and said he had an extra taste he would bring out for us. He took care of another couple that had arrived for a tasting and had his son bring us some chocolate the was to be paired with our extra tasting. With the extra wine tasting and the chocolate which did pair very well with both the red and dessert flight, we decide to take a couple bottles home with us. Randy- I sit here writing this review as I had popped the signed bottle of Malbec I brought home to enjoy and to remember our time at Harvest Moon Winery. The setting was absolutely stunning — quiet, serene, and surrounded by natural beauty. It was the kind of view that makes you want to take a deep breath and stay a while. The wines were just as memorable, especially the Zinfandels — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.

To top it all off, we were greeted by Poppy, the sweetest dog who made the whole experience even more charming. Between the warm hospitality, the incredible wines, and the peaceful ambiance, it was the perfect way to wind down our day.

“We happened upon this family-owned, small tasting room on our way back from Bodega Bay. I am so grateful we found this place. Lynn was absolutely amazing! She was welcoming and knowledgeable, an absolute GEM! The placed was packed and she still managed to make us feel special. We enjoyed EVERY wine we tasted & took a bunch home. Do not sleep on this amazing winery. Family run business doing it all the right way.“

“Hook & Ladder was a really enjoyable stop and felt like the definition of a family-run winery experience.

Full disclosure: I’m more of a craft beer person while my wife is the wine enthusiast, but this ended up being one of those easy, low-pressure tasting experiences that makes wine country fun for everyone.

The tasting was reasonably priced and refreshingly simple, no complicated reservation process or over-the-top formality. Just walk in, sit down, and enjoy.

The indoor tasting space had a unique personality, with fire and police patches from surrounding agencies decorating the walls along with shirts from departments across the region. It added a personal, community-focused feel that made the space memorable and different from more polished winery tasting rooms.

Most seating leans toward an outdoor patio setup, but since it was cold during our visit we stayed inside and still had a great experience.

While we didn’t take any bottles home this time (we’ve actually seen their wine at Costco before), it was a fun and relaxed stop, perfect if you want a tasting experience without the complexity or pressure that sometimes comes with larger wineries.

“I am absolutely enchanted by the Korbel estate and by their delicious, port, bubbly, and brandy. The deli is delightful, chock full of delightful sweets and savory sides and sandwiches. I wandered in and never wanted to leave. The view! The rich history! Did you know that the train stopped at Korbel in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s? I wish I could jump back in time. “This was one of the most wonderful catered events I have attended in recent memory! My spouse and I hosted a Wedding Rehearsal Dinner for my son and his new spouse at DArgenzio Winery in Santa Rosa in early June of 2025. There were 35 attendees and we were catered to in the Cibo Rustico event room with a wine bar, relaxing music, bocci ball and incredible service. We selected numerous authentic Italian appetizers such as Vegan Salad, Ceasar's Salad, Rustic Fire Grilled Vegetables, Brochette breads, Caprisi Salad, and Pasta with Bolagnese and Pasta with Pesto sauces. That was followed by three delectable pizza selections (Margarita, Italian sausage and Pepperoni) and polished off with two desert selections of Chocolate Mouse and Tiramisu. Everyone in attendance was in awe of the dishes and ate until their hearts were content. We drank the DArgenzio Pinot Noir, Red Blend and Sauvignon Blanc and they were all terrific. I had forgotten that there was such a thing as "customer service" ever since the Covid19 debacle but the staff blew our socks off with friendly, attentive, professional and nurturing service for all members of the party. This was truly some of the best service I have ever seen and I would highly recommend this establishment. The cost was completely reasonable. My favorite parting shot of the event was watching all of our happy guests leave the event with boxes of awesome leftover food, bottles of extra wine and giant smiles on their face! Thank you DArgenzio Winery for making my Son's Wedding Rehearsal Dinner an unforgettable and epic event!“

The day we went was a tad rainy but the weather made the experience more special.

poured the wines, which are of high quality. Besides the more recent Sauvignon Blanc and Rose Merlot vintages, we savored several older Pinot noirs, Zinfandels, and Malbec.

“My girlfriend Angelica and I had such a wonderful and memorable experience at Taddei Wines. The owners Chris and Dana gave us a private tasting and immediately welcomed us like we were family.
Because of his superior reputation, his generous spirit and active nvolvment in the local wine community, Chris has access to some of the best Vineyards in Sonoma and Napa. His Wines are consistently balanced, complex, yet unique and deliciously distinct in flavor and profile. There truly is no other wine like his in this area.
During the tasting, His passion for winemaking came through as he had us try different vintages of the same varietal and on numerous occassions, he pulled barrel samples of wine that was in various stages of aging and development.
Both Chris and Dana were so generous and kindhearted that the afternoon passed by effortlessly and before we knew it, we had been there for hours. Special shout out to club members James and Nina, who encouraged us to give Taddei Wines a try.
We happily joined the club and look forward to drinking their wine and visiting when possible. The prices are very reasonable for the quality you get in every bottle.
