“Deluxe mazemen - 4.25 stars
Great bonito-based flavour with umami like a tonkotsu ramen. Too salty though.
Curry mazemen - 4 stars
Appreciated that this was less salty, with a curry flavour less sweet than the usual Japanese curry too. On the milder side.“

“Their Tan Tan Men Ramen are the best! I love how I have the opportunity to customize our ground meat choices (I.e. ground pork or ground chicken). Topped with nori, baby bok choy, bean sprouts, hard-boiled egg, and ground meat, the ramen have the perfect flavor. Their chicken karaage were the best too!“

“Great food when in the mood for udon noodles or Ramen. Every dish tasted amazing and there was a variety of choices to include appetizers. Plenty of seating after pouring in your order at the kiosk. Once you're number is called you pick up your order and add spices, oils, ginger, etc as you want to your dish. When done you bring your trays to a stacked area (kind of full). Plenty of parking up front and the restrooms were clean.“

“Really Cool Spot. Susi is all I I have ever ordered and it is fabulous. You can pick it up to go or dine in. The People that work there are polite and efficient. (Customer service A+)
They stay open pretty late. It's perfect for that late night snack not to heavy. They advertise a low cost happy hour that had Top Shelf beers and food. Check it out.“

“I ordered from DoorDash, the food and presentation is fantastic!
BUT I’m just very confused,
how is it associated with another sushi place/restaurant in UT? J&C house?
Perhaps the manager or the owner of Chubby can help me puzzle it out?“

“Tucked into a quiet plaza near a karaoke bar, this ramen spot is easy to miss but a lifesaver on cold nights. The tonkotsu broth was thick and creamy, with a deep pork flavor that lingered perfectly. I got the spicy level 2—it was hot but not overwhelming. Gyoza were crisp on the outside, juicy inside. The vibe is calm and welcoming, perfect for solo diners“

“This is one of our go to Ramen places in San Diego, we love it! Our kids love it for the free ice cream at the end!“
“This place is excellent service and it's like a super market and have fresh fish, lobster and any kind of sea food. This place has fresh sushi made there and all kinds of variety. They also have a eatery that's reasonable prices and they also have all meat and they weigh it by the pound and it's fully cooked. All the vegetables and fruit are always fresh. If you love Asian food this is the place to get everything you need. They also have stuff for woman and all the products that they need to take care of themselves. They also have a place for the kids and toys are all Japanese made. They also have a section that has hard liquor and beer of all kinds. I would recommend this place to everyone to go. It's the best experience and the people are very respectful to the customers.“

“This was a wonderful dining experience! Me and my friend already loved to order takeout from here, but it got even better when we dined in. There is a regular menu and a fully vegan menu, and the vegan options are delicious! Their vegan ramen broth is smooth and savory with many flavors to enjoy. We got the best ice cream I've ever had, which was cold, silky and delicious. The atmosphere is cozy with warm lighting and comfortable booths. One of the best parts was the service. Our waiter, Thang, was friendly and quick with great service. Over all, I would love to come back soon!“

“This place was absolutely amazing! I normally don't review a place until I've been to it at least three times, but this is my second time and I just had to review it. The first time we came we ordered ramen and it exceeded our expectations and we also got the yakitori platter which was great because you get to try a little bit of everything. The broth on the ramen was super tasty. And we also got a tea which was really good. The Negima yakitori was my favorite! The decor of the place is super nice too and the music playing is really good. It's also very clean and you can tell a lot by how clean a restroom is. The second time we tried the tonkatsu omurice and it did not disappoint. It was absolutely amazing! The curry sauce that goes on top is 🤌 definitely a shareable size and you can get some yakitori on the side. For dessert, we had the cherry blossom jelly and it is one of the most unique things I've ever tried. It is a very refreshing dessert. The staff was also really nice and super helpful both times that we came. Asking if we had any questions on the menu and also just trying to make our experience the first time a really good one. This place is definitely 5/5. Highly recommend.“

“It couldve been because I was early, dining in and the broth didn't develop a bitter after taste from over cooking, but it's been awhile since I've had good ramen. The champion ramen had a good mixture of wet and dry flavors. Chashu + seaweed had a subtle fish dry taste vibe which is new. Noodles were chewy and not clumpy mouth feel. Broth and ground pork were rich but not overly. Overall taste + texture was superb and especially warming during the winter. Also the waiter Rick is such a homeboy and service is amazing.
Last time I liked having ramen was when I was running around in an orange jumper. Hope the guys and gals stay in business.“

“I had a great experience at this ramen place! The broth was rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, and the noodles had just the right texture. The toppings were fresh, and each bite felt comforting and satisfying. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant itself was clean and cozy, creating the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a warm bowl of ramen. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends.“

“I enjoyed eating the food here but thought it was a little pricey for what it was. The ambience was great. The karaage was tasty but the amount of chicken was pretty small for the price. The dipping noodles were good with a nice chew and the broth was pretty flavorful and salty. Because they have to cook the broth for so long to concentrate it, it is more expensive than normal ramen. One of the issues I run into with dipping ramen is the fact that around halfway through eating, you end up with cool/cold food because the broth doesn’t stay hot enough to offset the noodles and stuff you’re dipping in.
Overall, I’d come back here if I was craving dipping ramen but would probably find somewhere else if just looking for normal ramen.“

“Cute homey Japanese vibes. It’s a small restaurant so I can see there’d be a wait on busy days. Luckily we only had to wait about 5 min. The menu is straightforward. Comfort Japanese dishes. Service was great, they’re super nice and very attentive!
The tempura was good, sauce was great too. Katsu was fried perfectly, sauce was tangy and fantastic, just wish the pork was more moist/tender. Karaage was just okay, probably wouldn’t order it again, most of the flavor came from the sauce. My dad loved his eel bowl set, flavored and cooked well. My katsudon bowl was delicious, again katsu was a little dry, togarashi is a must with this bowl. And the cold soba noodles were great, the sauce dip was perfectly seasoned and noodles were perfect texture, very refreshing to eat.
Parking - small free lot! We had no issues getting parking.“

“Found this place randomly searching for a local Japanese style restaurant and found this Gem. Tried their Chicken Curry plate as it seemed to be there go to with their BOGO promotion. The curry had a phenomenal and savory taste. I'd recommend Level 3 Spice level as it is a great blend of flavor and spice. If you're interested in having great Japanese Curry this is the spot. I also tried their potato croquette which was exquisite I ate it immediately and took a photo part way 🤣 into eating. I also have their Strawberry Matcha Latte which was a great blend and tasted perfect. Definitely coming back to try the Curry Omelet variety. This is a great spot to come with friends or if you just want to enjoy some great Japanese food solo.“

“Hands down the best ramen we’ve ever had! The Red King ramen was incredibly flavorful and absolutely delicious. We also ordered the chicken karaage as a side, and it was fantastic as well. “Ok, let’s start with the beer. Sapporo on tap, in a frosty mug !!!! Super cold!!! Best beer I’ve had at a restaurant!!!!
Next the food, I got the chicken soy ramen on recommendation of the server. Great kinda sweet soy flavor. Ramen was perfect, soft but firm.
Wife got the tonkatsu ramen. Broth had rich flavor, again noodles perfect.
Tried this as a new spot.
Definitely will return.
And recommend!!!“

“The food was really however you had to pay like 2 dollars for each additional topping which wouldn't be so bad if it were a sharable size so more than one person could use them

“I love Japanese food, if I could eat it everyday for the rest of my life, I would. I also tried many Japanese restaurants but NOTHING beats this place. Everything is fresh and made with patience. And when I say everything is fresh, I mean every single thing, some places usually give out pickled ginger but not here, they slice it themselves. I love this place and this will be my new spot. 🥰“

“Xfish Brea was hands down the most delightful sushi experience I've ever had! The ambiance is stunning and inviting, and the service is unmatched—attentive, kind, and truly spectacular. Simon annd Nikki were awesome! The sushi? Absolutely melt-in-your-mouth perfection, with top-tier quality and an incredible variety to choose from. I loved the unique pass-around menu concept, where servers bring small bites directly to you—it added such a fun, interactive touch. The live bluefin tuna cutting was an unforgettable, mesmerizing experience! This place is a must-visit!“

“I tried their combination beef and chicken teriyaki plate. Came with rice, macaroni salad and a simple lettuce salad. Their teriyaki was excellent. Could use more teriyaki sauce but the chicken and beef was well cooked and full of flavor. The macaroni salad was good but they put corn in it, which threw me off. I didn't like the corn in the macaroni. Salad was basic. I also tried the norwalk sushi roll. It was huge. I thought it was going to be a standard small roll but it's like the size of 2 rolls in one.The sushi roll was good enough. Nothing special (just crab meat, shrimp tempura) but hit the spot. Plates and sushi rolls are anywhere from 13-15 dollars. I understand the price because they give you some generous portions. I was full and just half way done with the plate for lunch. Enough food to heat up seconds for dinner later.Their beef and chicken teriyaki is definitely their best food. I recommend it. I will definitely be coming back and will ask if they have a no corn mac salad and for some extra teriyaki sauce on the meats and rice.“

“This restaurant is standing alone in the middle of office buildings. There’s no other restaurants nearby and pretty small. Just 10-15 tables. I ordered the hot & sour ramen soup and spicy seafood one I can't remember the name! But it was super flavorful!.💯👍🏻 Also got some appetizers of mixed tempura. The noodles are delicious here! We ordered another noodle on the side. I’d recommend coming to try they had a big menu! It’s unique and can’t really find these elsewhere. It’s also filling! Keep in mind, you will have to wait for a bit. Parking is also limited. I gotta come back to try the other noodles! Just got only one picture cuz when they served it I can't wait and I realized when all the noodles are gone!🤣
Highly recommended 💯“
