“I was very excited to have an all you can eat sushi evening with my wife. Service was spot on my friends but the atmosphere was economy class, no biggie but it could need some helpThe food was fine, nothing I would write home about. The plating is almost sublimeAnd I had a vague bitter undertone to the meal, could have been some off brand concoction. And the fish cuts were a slight variation of my preferred thickness.I should be fair and say for the $40 you spend it's well worth it.......“
“She start's remembering me and give me that spoon, and that deserves a 5 star review The food is great, the staff is friendly and they are super quick in the service time in a short lunch hour. I would recommend if you want a quick pickup for lunch“
“First time coming here, we ordered the kimchi fried rice, beef galbi plate, and grilled shrimp plate - it was all soo delicious! Probably the best kimchi fried rice I've ever had, and it had an overeasy egg! I got it to go but it was quick and made fresh. Will definitely be back!“
“The sushi here is to die for!!!! We moved about 45 minutes away and when ever we crave sushi we will make the drive. I have yet to find a sushi restaurant near me that comes even close to Osaka Story! My husband and I make sure we come once a month. My husband love the quality, atmosphere, customer service, and the amazing people that work here. Thank you Reyna and the rest of Osaka story crew!“
“Ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and it was so delicious. Stopped by after some shopping and this place was packed. They sat me down once I walked in and their service was excellent. I received my meal quickly and it was delicious. I will definitely come back again.“
“If you like ramen, this place is fantastic with red and white miso broth options. The spicy tao paste is over the top spicy so be careful. The service is traditionally awesome. The atmosphere is also traditional Japanese decor with matching music. However, the outdoor seating is a couple of folding tables pushed up against the window 3 feet from the parking lot.“
“This place has the best pho in the area handsThe customer service is dopeThe owner is always very welcoming and his recommendations always hit the spotThere’s endless veggies for your phoI love this place always but best for rainy daysI definitely recommend this spotParking: There’s street parking and public parking lots in the behind areas of pacific , how everI’ve always found street parking right up front of the spot or within a couple of feetKid-friendliness: Yes it’s kid friendlyThe owner is very friendly and accommodating“
“Best tasting ramen I've ever had and the prices are super affordable. The atmosphere is really chill and clean and the staff is very friendly and welcoming!Dietary restrictions: I have a garlic allergy and they were very helpful with accommodating me!Parking: There's more parking behind the restaurant, but there is accessible handicap up front!Kid-friendliness: Very open space and room in the booths for kids“
“Came during on Tuesday Lunch, 1pm.No wait, Seated Immediately!Pleasant atmosphere ?Server was attentive, courteous.Ordered the following:SweetSpicy Chicken KaraAge - Sweet! Juicy ChickenSt.Louis Pork Rib Spicy Miso Ramen - Ribs falls apart from bone, delicious.Potato Shrimp - Delicate & Great Appetizer.Loved the New location in Garden Grove, Please stop by when you can!!*FREE MOCHI ice cream if you share your experience on YELP (you can write unlimited reviews ?*Kid-friendliness: Kids Meal!“
“When I'm in Long Beach it's Ramen Hub....their Tonkatsu Ramen is off the chain...the pork broth is key and I can taste it was made with lots of love. come in and check it out for yourself. the menu is excellent just like the service.“
“Great birria de chivo. Im not a fan of birria de chivo in general. I prefer beef birria but this birria is great. I can tell its made and cooked fresh every day. Perfect consume flavor and not too gamey. If you LOVE birria de chivo you will love this place. The quesabirria tacos were meaty and plentiful too. Open bar for the condiments meant you got all the fixins you want.“
“Little hole in the wall. Never new this place existed until I googled sushi places near me. Tried it for the first time. Their sushi is very delicious!! Very good deals too. Buy 2 get 1 free. Super yummy, have lots of flavors. Service was good. Am definitely going back to try more of their deliciousness.“
“I really like this place, its the best ramen ive had so far, between a handful of other places. I feel like it has the most flavor. The sushi is also really good, good appetizers. All around its a great spot.Ive been here a few times and always enjoyed it.“
“These were really great crab wontons or rangoons whatever! Nice flavorful crispiness. I would have really preferred to dip into the same sweet and sour sauce that was drizzled on top instead of the water spicy mayo so will request that change if there is a future visit. I have a sore throat so didn’t want any spice in my ramen. Overall good but think the sauce was on the more bland side compared to say Jinya. Probably more flavor as spice levels increase. The soft boiled egg was done perfectly. Overall enjoyed my meal“
“Place is ok, there are so many better places though! I would eat here if I didn’t want to go out too far. Black garlic ramen was seriously lacking flavor but the udon was good. Sushi was standard and the hoedeopbap was tasty, just didn’t have much fish. Maybe I’ve been spoiled but service was poor. Girl was trying to talk to me across a loud room and ordering was slow. It was only her working this particular evening so it might have been overwhelming. We were told at 9:10 that they closed at 9:15 (nicely told us to gtfo), but we were confused because google says they close at 9:30. Didn’t matter too much because we were about done anyways. Despite the negatives, definitely give it a try, palettes are always different. It wasn’t so bad that I wouldn’t come here again, could’ve been a one-off night and I always like to give establishments another shot.“
“My husband and I have been looking for a good ramen place and we found this restaurant. We both ordered tonkotsu ramen and a sushi to share, and everything was delicious. The server was so nice and attentive. This restaurant became our favorite place we will definitely come back soon!Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs“
“The food here is always incredible and has to be my favorite Ramen spot by far. I always get the chashu ramen in mild with an egg. So bomb I swear I am salivating at the mouth just thinking about it. My favorite ramen. Always drink the broth, that's the best part!! It's so packed with flavor. I can't get enough and even when you take it home to reheat it, it tastes just as flavorful. You get bomb ramen for a great price. The ambience is chill and relaxing. I love the amount of outdoor lighting it gets. I also love the barstool setup it feels so chill. The service is always excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful, not like some cold restaurants where you feel unwelcome.“
“I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and placed a large order. One of the items ordered was the chicken teriyaki bento box. Everything item on the plate was freshly made and delicious. There were 4 pieces of tempura veggies and 4 pieces of California roll. The chicken teriyaki bowls were just as fresh and contained an ample amount of chicken and rice. The owner was kind and gracious and friendly. An additional plus for that. This is a great place to go for sushi. The California rooll and the spicy tuna roll we ordered we delicious. I look forward to my next visit so that I can try the ramen. Hope you all give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.“
“Good food with great presentation. The food were really good, they had great flavor. The price is competitive compared to similar sushi places. Everything was good. The salmon was the only thing that was probably slightly off, it wasn't bad at all but not on par with other places and that is the reason they don't get 5 stars. I will be back to give them another try. They also have a dice through.“
“Was a little confusing at first when walking in, they had a menu you can look at as soon as you walk in and the confusing part is there is a kiosk for order strictly to charge either credit or debit cards if you want to pay cash you have to wait for someone to attend the register. You can choose from different types of Ramen or udon noodles or a platter with rice or a bowl of rice with whatever toppings. It's on the pricey side but the food is pretty good in flavor. Restaurant is kept clean and even has a dine in patio.“
“I ordered takeout at Blue Bird Haus on a Friday evening. I ordered online and received quick confirmation and my order was ready fairly quickly as well. It's surprisingly difficult to find sushi places that serve vegan rolls other than avocado/cucumber rolls. Blue Bird Haus has a wonderful selection of vegan rolls, ramen, and appetizers, and more. I ordered the V-Alaskan roll and veggie egg rolls. It was so delicious and filling. FYI it does come with pickled ginger and wasabi and the V-Alaskan is 8 rolls. While delicious, it is pretty expensive but that's to be expected as plant-based alternatives are usually pricey. Either way, this place is delicious and I definitely recommend it.Vegetarian options: There is a vegan section of the menu available online and in the restaurant.“
“I wanted ramen but didn’t want to drive too far so I looked up ramen near me. Decided to give this place a try and I was impressed! Spicy tonkotsu ramen was so good! As well as the crunch roll. It’s always the low key places that have amazing food!“
“Soooo good! Lots of choices. Fast service in bringing out the food. I was sooo hungry when we finally got in. The wait was a little long but it was worth it. Our server was also very good Aaron. He always came back to check if we were doing ok. Definitely something I would recommend. I'll be back soon.“
“I first tried Hiro Nori in 2018 and it's been my preferred ramen since then. The menu is small and definitely not complicated at all. The tonkotsu is really good because it is thick and creamy. The shoyu is my favorite one, though. I like to add on some broccolini, chili paste, and garlic.I like that the edamame has lemon and that the water is infused.“
“My son and I loved this place because it is one of the best ramen restaurants in Long Beach and is comparable to ramen quality in Japan! We know what excellent ramen is, and we also know what excellent customer service is because my son was born and raised in Japan, and I lived in Japan for 30 years. The previous staff was great, but the new staff has made a lot of mistakes, and they don't seem to care as much. We tell them that we like our noodles "firm" or in Japanese "かた麺” or "Katamen". Requesting the firmness of noodles in Japan is normal. The other day, I requested firm noodles, and when I got home they had given us thick noodles instead. We used to love this place, but now we are very disappointed.“
“GREEN CHILI SHIO RAMEN every time! Anytime I'm around Buena Park, I make travel plans to be around this Ramen joint for lunch. We are always looking for Tonkotsu Ramen, but you need to try the green chili from here. A little different than the richer broths, but the freshness and spiciness can't be beat. Definitely a must try spot.“
“I was craving ramen and this place always hits the spot. Ordered Tonkotsu and it was perfect. Super delicious and the service was very friendly and prompt. Will definitely come back!Parking: The restaurant is in a plaza, so there is plenty of parking available in the parking lot.“
“I am so mad at myself that I am barely discovering this hidden gem after three years of living in Lakewood. Wow. The portions for their bento are so good for their price point. All the rolls are great price points for the quality they provide. They have amazing service and staff are so attentive. I am now a regular!!!!! Soo goood!!!!!!“
“Our first visit here was fantastic. It's rare to find a restaurant serving animal products that also caters directly to plant-based diets. Eating vegan here was a breeze, and without having to stick to just side dishes and salad. They have several plant-based ramens, starters, and more. The food was exceptional, the staff was wonderful, and prices were fair ($2 for extra noodles is amazing). We will definitely be back soon for more vegan eats.“
“My only suggestion is update the drinks, they are not good the sake piña colada was not good and I tried my bf lemonade and wasn’t good in opinion and I saw in the back you guys use the powdered country time lemonade. Ewww I don’t want to waste 3-6 bucks on nasty drinks, I will drink water next time. The seating could be better to more cozy less like I’m in science class“
“Food is excellent, really tasty and would for sure to back. Giving it 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons.. ambiance is ok, kinda putting lipstick on a pig of a building, but without a full remodel it's a decent job. Second reason 4 not 5 is that I've been to the Santa Monica location and the food / ambience was better, not way better but still better. Yum yum, if you like this type of food and want a casual dining experience, go try it out.“
“I have been going to this restaurant for 35 years. The food continues to be consistently good. The owner Japanese Chef works in the kitchen . The best tempura for me! I love the salmon sashimi rice! They use chicken without antibiotics. They use good ingredients that’s the reason why chicken tastes so good.“
“Nothing but good things. This is our go to sushi and ramen spot. I have never had a sushi here I didn't like. They have a 50 off menu for sushi and it's such a great deal. My kids and hubby love to get the tampopo ramen set with sushi. It's definitely worth the price and is a good amount of food. My favorite sushi is the Japanese burrito and the handrolls are delicious and good sized. Service here is always good. My water cup never gets low and they are very attentive which is a plus if you every get heavy handed on Wasabi. Definitely recommend this establishment and have referred many of my friends to come and try it out themselves“
“If I'm close enough to LBC I tend to get Chinese here as they have a nearly 50/50 menu offering vegan dupes of classics. They have meal specials which will give you drink, egg roll, and entree, so it's very affordable for a substantial dining experience. Over the years they've added ramen (although I secretly miss the rice burger, which was squished between crispy rice patties instead of buns). My fave is the New Orleans chicken. The vegan items are made to order and can take some time, so be prepared to be patient.“
“Jessica who was up front was a good service I am currently 5 months pregnant and Jessica and the cook Santiago made sure to cook my fish to perfection since I am not able to eat raw fish I give this place a 5 stars the staff was excellent highly recommend it“
“So been coming here for years especially before moving out to the Coachella valley. So was looking forward to trying it again, was always one of my favorite ramen places when I lived in OC.Unfortunately once we walked in, it smelled funky. Almost like if you were next to the restroom. So took a bit to get use to. It was really busy and I noticed still they only have one server for all the tables. But she was on it for everyone. So great service from her despite them having her be the only one with a packed restaurant. The ramen is still good but wasn't feeling the chatsu this time. We both still ate most of it. Of course they have a wide selection of ramen and tried almost all of them but have my favorites. So anyone new can look forward to having options. I feel as though the majority of the people eating in there have gone there before, because most people are patient and were quick to order.Still giving it a 4 because the majority of the time between my first review and now we're positive experiences. It was probably busy because not everything was opened on New Year's Day and it was very busy. Like I said props to the waitress, think her name was Sam, for keeping up. Just hope next time it doesn't smell and it's not crazy busy. But will still keep going back.“
“This place was spectacular starting with the staff! MJ general manager made us feel so welcomed and his attitude along with the rest of his team is the reason why we fell so in love with this place. The food and desserts were amazing! The music playing on the other side half of the restaurant by the bar, was such a good vibe! I’ll definitely will be back! Thank you MJ and team for the attention you gave my husband and I! Can’t wait to visit again!“
“Great place for sushi & ramen ? it is delicious, they have variety, atmosphere is a vibe, good customer service (served at table), tables have dividers for privacy, you can collect signatures for a free Cali roll, bathroom is clean and smells good, lots of parking & wheelchair access. My 4 year old and I love it & we come often, would recommend 10/10Parking: Plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: Yes, I come often with my 4 year oldWheelchair accessibility: Yes “
“The Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen was perfect for my late night ramen craving! Not only is Giraffe Ramen delicious for takeout, it's actually tastier than many of the ramens I've had dining at ramen shops. It comes topped with wood ear mushrooms, half a soft-boiled egg, bean sprouts, bamboo, ginger, green onions, and of course two tender cuts of tonkotsu. The broth is nicely flavored without being too salty. I really appreciated the thoughtful packaging which separated the noodles/topping and broth in separate compartments within one container so it doesn't get soggy. The container is tied up in a plastic bag to prevent spill. The ratio of noodles/topping and broth was perfect. The next time you have a rainy day ramen craving, give Giraffe Ramen a try!“
“Ordered karaage with came fresh and tasty. I ordered tonkatsu ramen after asking about the spicy tonkatsu ramen. The waitress said it was spicy compared to hot Cheetos which I don't do so I opted out, the broth was creamy I just prefer more garlic . I could have added on to the bowl I ordered for an additional fee but I decided not to. The chashu pork was a bit salty, my sister ordered the same bowl and shared it was too salty for her. Overall it was good, staff was friendly and the restaurant looked clean“
“It was an authentic Korean restaurant, and the foods were great, especially their Kimchi was absolutely awesome. We ordered Kal noodle, which was too big for one person, Jaengban noodle, which was a little bit of sweet, and Tempura, which was jumbo size. There was no sampler for small amounts for tempura, so I had to take it home for leftover. It was still good after heating with the airfryer.“
“Overall good experience here! The food was delicious & prices were reasonable, especially compared to other establishments within this mall. My only complaint about the food is that the edamame came drenched in salt—lightly salted is one thing, but bathed in salt is another ? I would definitely tell them to skip the salt next time since I like eating edamame to add a healthy touch to my meal, but all that salt basically defeats the point. I would also say to be aware that the appetizers and main dishes come out at the same time, at least in my experience. I was taken aback when we didn't even begin munching on our appetizers yet when they brought out our main dishes already. The portion sizes are pretty good and plates are shareable, though! The only other downside was that my friend and I wanted to eat outside and even though they had an outdoor dining area set up, they told us we couldn't for some reason :(“
“Very small parking lot but lots of street parking. I had a short wait during lunch time on a weekend. The staff are super nice and food comes out very fast Nanchatte tonkatsu ramen: milky creamy and flavor broth. It's very comforting especially on a cold day. Ramen noodles are cooked just right. Deep fried stuffed soft shell crab: a nice appetizer. The outside is very crispy and it appears to be stuffed with imitation crab meat. Omelet rice with pork cutlet and curry sauce: the portion is very large. It was very delicious. Curry sauce is nice and sweet. The pork cutlet is nice and crispy, the meat is juicy. I would definitely get this again and it would be two meals. Definitely stop by when you're craving some comfort Japanese food! The menu is very large and there is a lot to try.“
“I recently visited Gomen Ramen in Stanton and had an amazing experience. This cozy restaurant serves delicious Japanese Ramen, appetizers, and drinks. Despite being busy during lunchtime, the service was friendly and the food was so flavorful. They offer a variety of noodle choices including thin, thick, spinach, tofu, low-carb, and gluten-free noodles. I enjoyed their healthy options. The menu include different types of broth like chicken, pork, and a veggie option. I loved the meat lover ramen with triple chasu as it was a generous portion and the soup was rich and flavorful. Additionally, they offer fried rice, udon, curry, and a variety of appetizers such as fried dumplings, takoyaki, and Karaage. The Karaage was especially good, perfectly fried and juicy. The service was friendly, although the food did take a while to arrive. However, the delicious food made the wait worthwhile.“
“Great tasting ramen - Glad to have one closer to home than going to Silverlake. Ernesto was super helpful and a friendly staff member helping us! Even called after a few days to search for missing receipt needed and didn’t hesitate to help. I appreciate his service! Will definitely keep coming back.“
“I've been going to Shin before they became Shin. It was my go to sushi spot 10 years ago and so happy I got to experience it with my son who has been curious about this place. The restaurant is an establishment on its own with their own parking lot. It's not in a plaza shared with other businesses which I can appreciate because I don't come across many restaurants like this. There's plenty of seatings outdoor and indoor. Their restroom needs a little TLC. I love that they offer Happy Hour 3p-7p. My son and I ordered the cheese wontons which was completely different than what I was expecting which was the cream cheese wontons. These wontons were made with actual cheese and tempura. We ordered the 3 roll $35 combo and ordered crunchy, super cal and king of kings - we were pleased with all. We got the pleasure of being served by Tammy who I recognized from years ago. She offers great customer service, very accommodating.“
“Not new to Yoshiharu Ramen, as I've been to the location at Buena Park's The Source, this Yoshiharu Ramen in Cerritos opened approximately a year ago. Always glad to have a new ramen shop nearby, lunch was the order of the day & Yoshiharu Ramen heeded the call.Tonkotsu Black-Pork bone broth soy sauce base with garlic paste, chashu, green onions, bean sprouts, wood ear mushrooms, bamboo shoots, roasted black garlic oil & sesame seeds. Very good! The ramen was al dente, the chashu tender. Same as I remember the tonkotsu black being from the Buena park restaurant. A solid bowl of ramen, which I greatly appreciated.Thai tea ice cream-After a piping hot bowl of ramen, nothing better than some ice cream! Made with real milk, this perfectly portioned Thai tea ice cream tasted just like it's namesake, and was enough of an indulgence to where I didn't feel guilty.Service was great. The young man attending to customers was friendly & hospitable. A good amount of seating inside, with sushi bar seating available. Parking is via the Target lot, with Yoshiharu Ramen located adjacent & east of The Kebab Shop.Another one on rotation. Yoshiharu Ramen is a quality ramen shop, and a great addition to Cerritos. One day, I'll go all out & order their lobster ramen, but in no way can I call having their tonkotsu black settling, for it is a fine bowl of soup, I must say.“
“This place is amazing! Their food is delicious, incredibly beautiful and of the highest quality I have found on a sushi restaurant. The assorted sushi dishes are out of this world. Each piece is superior to the one before, to the point that there's almost a moment of sadness when the plate is finally empty. I would recommend this place, without any hesitation whatsoever, to the most demanding palates and sushi lovers.Oh! And to all vegans, please, pleaaaase try the King Mushroom Steak. I can't even begin to tell you how many exquisite flavors will appear and disappear in your mouth with every bite.“
“Though the food here is good. The service is terrible. One time I went for lunch, sat down and had to weight 10 minutes to be offered a menu and drink. Then when I asked for a place setting because there wasn't one, instead of apologizing and taking care of it, I was told to go get one from another table. Tonight I went again sat down and waited again for 10 minutes with no one coming over to ask me anything or give a menu. I finally walked out and will not be going back. There are plenty of other ramen restaurants in the area that I can spend my money at this one is done“
“This was my first time eating here, and I wasn't sure what to order. They let me sample the chicken and the beef birria. It was very good. The meat is tender and they have great prices. When your in town, stop here, you will be happy that you did.Vegetarian options: Beans, rice and they serve ramen. You can customize and leave the meat out if you want. Taco, burrito, and quesadilla You can put avocado beans and rice and cheese.“
