“A friend recommended Menya Hanabi to me, and this was my first time trying mazesoba, which is basically brothless ramen.
I ordered the Deluxe Mazesoba, which comes with chashu and a hard-boiled egg. I really liked the deluxe version because it felt more filling and had a good amount of protein from the minced pork, chashu, and poached egg. The bowl had a lot of flavor, and I ended up finishing the whole thing, so I didn't even get a chance to try the free scoop of rice at the end.
The mazesoba was a bit on the salty side, but it wasn't something that bothered me. The seaweed and fish powder added extra depth and helped give the bowl more variety, while the green onions added a nice texture and freshness.
I came on a Wednesday night and didn't have to wait at all, which was a plus. Overall, I enjoyed my first mazesoba experience here and could definitely see myself coming back whenever I'm in the area.“

“I recently visited WADAYA - Fullerton and had a fantastic dining experience. The restaurant had a modern, cozy, and welcoming atmosphere that made it a great place to enjoy Japanese cuisine. The staff were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout my visit.
The menu offered a unique selection of Japanese noodle dishes, especially their specialty mazemen, a flavorful brothless ramen-style dish. The noodles were fresh, chewy, and packed with rich flavors from the carefully prepared toppings and sauces. I enjoyed the creativity of the dishes and the attention to detail in every bowl.
The food was delicious, well prepared, and full of authentic Japanese flavors. I especially appreciated the balance of textures and the quality of the ingredients. The restaurant also offered other options such as ramen, rice bowls, and appetizers, making it easy for everyone to find something they enjoy.
The restaurant was clean, organized, and had a comfortable setting for a casual meal with friends or family. The service was efficient, and the staff made sure everything was prepared perfectly. I liked the unique dining experience and the care put into each dish.
I would definitely return to WADAYA - Fullerton to try more menu items and enjoy another bowl of mazemen. I have already recommended this restaurant to friends and family who enjoy Japanese noodles and flavorful, creative dishes. Overall, it is a great restaurant with excellent food, friendly service, and a memorable atmosphere. I look forward to visiting again soon.“

I highly recommend coming with a big appetite because there is a lot on the menu that you have to get! The fatty tuna was sooo good! And i was also impressed by their ramen! It was rich and smooth!“

“Okay, okay…yes, first ramen experience! I know, I know…I’m not a long noodle guy and def not a slurper, so I’ve always kinda avoided it. Had the chicken broth here, and it was really good. This is for the peeps who have yet to try…do it. Tastes amazing and you won’t regret it. Still not sure how to cut down the large pieces of chicken in the broth with chopsticks, but that’ll be for my second visit.“

“Great food when in the mood for udon noodles or Ramen. Every dish tasted amazing and there was a variety of choices to include appetizers. Plenty of seating after pouring in your order at the kiosk. Once you're number is called you pick up your order and add spices, oils, ginger, etc as you want to your dish. When done you bring your trays to a stacked area (kind of full). Plenty of parking up front and the restrooms were clean.“

“Their Tan Tan Men Ramen are the best! I love how I have the opportunity to customize our ground meat choices (I.e. ground pork or ground chicken). Topped with nori, baby bok choy, bean sprouts, hard-boiled egg, and ground meat, the ramen have the perfect flavor. Their chicken karaage were the best too!“

“We have been to this wonderful place several times and every time we come it is great! It can get very busy because it is great and because it is small. They have used their space strategically to get as many tables as possible. The staff is always friendly, welcoming and helpful. Tonight our server was Tang (not sure of the correct spelling) and he was exceptional!! Fantastic energy, super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! They have a separate vegan menu which is really awesome! Now the food…absolutely delicious and quite filling! We always leave with leftovers for the next day. Today we got (all vegan) Veggie Tempura Plate, Vegan Crispy Rice, Caterpillar roll, and CA Crunch roll. Our server also brought us the Salmon roll. All were SO good! We were also given a scoop of green tea ice cream which was also really tasty! This is a fabulous restaurant that we will continue to frequent and highly recommend!“

“What is surprisingly fun place. First time, we've been to a make your own ramen place. The worker was so friendly in helping us pick out the noodles we wanted, how to heat it and the toppings and everything. They had a great variety of different types of ramen.
What a very novel idea and all around fun, place to go.“

“Filling portions, accommodating staff, and most importantly delicious food. Izakaya style allows for small eats if needed (especially during happy hour, see posted). Their bento portions are more than fair and their staff will work with you no matter the circumstances. Major recommendation for casual dine-in and/or after work celebration.“

“A Mazesoba spot in Walnut, had to try it since it's rare to have this type of restaurant around. My wife and I were immediately seated as it wasn't busy when we entered, although busy a bit later. We were guided by Yuki, he was very friendly, and guided us through the menu since it was our first times at this specific spot. Top notch staff, friendly, professional, and very informative.
My wife and I ordered the Classic Mazesoba & Champion Mazesoba. (Both non spicy) Both came out pretty fast and the presentation is spectacular.
1. Champion Mazesoba came with 2pcs Chashu, Marinated egg, minced pork, poached eggs, 3pcs nori, shredded seaweed, green onions, chives, and garlic. All mixed together with the ramen noodles creates the perfect dish. It wasn't too salty, and everything mixes just melts perfectly.
The noodles were already seasoned well, which makes the mixing extra yummy.
2. Classic Mazesoba came with minced pork, poached egg, shredded seaweed, green onions, chives, and garlic.
Cheaper than the champion bowl, less ingredients, but just as tasty. This dish is perfect for customers who like less meat, and loves more simplicity in their mazesoba. Noodles taste very similar despite some of the lacking ingredients
Overall, Mazesoba Hero is amazing, service is great, parking is free (popular plaza), food is top quality, and for those who are new or interested in mazesoba type food, this is the perfect place to start. Can't wait to come back to try the other dishes.“

“A top ramen spot in Orange County located minutes from Downtown Fullerton. Go to dish is the Tonkotsu Ramen. Love the consistency of the noodles and the rich flavored broth. Service is always exceptional with a welcoming atmosphere. I drive past many ramen spots just to come here. That alone should say a lot!“

“If I could give this guy 10 stars on service, I would totally do it. Absolutely made my night. The food is very good, but the service is even better.
I love ramen and I love sushi, and both are very good here. My girlfriend and I come here sometimes, and it's always been a great experience, but especially tonight. It's how clean it is.
Especially tonight, there was a tall Asian guy that was just so joyful. He had glasses on, and it just really made our night.“

“I can't recommend this Ramen spot enough. Everything is so fresh and delicious. The service is very friendly and fast. They can get busy at times and you'll experience a short wait if it's only 2 people, if you're going to have a larger party, I highly recommend making reservations as this is a small restaurant.“

“First time here and I really enjoyed my meal. Had the Chicken meatballs in chicken broth, mild with a side of pork gyozas. The atmosphere was really chill, I read my books as I waited for my meal. I'm definitely going back to try out their other options, maybe no spice to try out the broth without the heat of the spice.“

“Always wondered about this restaurant as there's always a line outside the establishment. My wife and I were seated with our friend group pretty quickly, a nice perk to the staff that handed out menus to choose your order to improve efficiency.
I love that the ramen is very customizable, from the amount of salt, oil richness, ingredients mix, sauce, and even noodle style. (Thin/Thick) There's moderate seating inside, some for large groups, duos, and some wall seats as well. It definitely has the vibes for a ramen shop, lights are a bit dimmer inside which highlights the kitchen staff (open kitchen). working on orders.
My wife and I both ordered the Original King Ramen and shared some appetizer (Chicken Karaage) with our group.
Orders came out pretty quickly and the portions are pretty decent size, a bit deceiving I'd say for the size of the bowl you receive.
1. The ramen is very flavorful, can't go wrong with either thin or thick noodles. In my opinion, the chashu is a must because it mixes the broth flavor with the meat, creating the savory flavoring, super yummy. A little side note is that the ramen is priced nicely, however the extra add-ons can accumulate in total.
2. The Chicken Karaage is a classic must try, Japanese styled fried chicken, super crispy coating, very flavorful meat, and bite size. The karaage is marinated very well & comes with some lemons for that sweet flavor if preferred. Highly recommend.
Overall, Ramen Nagi has very delicious ramen and is very much affordable. Huge plus for the ramen being very customizable & even has chefs recommendations for first timers. Only downside is that the shop is not super big, and long lines but it moves moderately fast if you don't mind waiting a bit.“

“I highly recommend this place. The staff is very friendly. I went with my partner to enjoy a nice time together, and we were attended by a teenage girl who was very kind and attentive to us. “Stumbled upon this location looking for somewhere to eat and when I tell you the amazing smells drew us in like a siren call??? There was a barely noticeable wait and we spent it eagerly looking at the menu. Service extremely prompt and scrupulous. Place is a bit small and they fill the space, so be prepared for loud noises. Food came out pretty fast, especially for being slammed, and it was all very, very good! Tried the ramen, udon, and one of the 'baked' rolls. 100% would come back to try more of all of the above!“

“Stopped by for a quick lunch after my pickleball game at La Habra. Got promptly seated and I appreciated the booth seating.
They have a good selection of Sushi, Udons, Grilled Dishes and Ramen. I opted to get a Sushi and Udon and it came out very well. The place has a good ambience for a quick lunch spot and service was on the mark !
I will definitely be back if I am in the area and want a quick bite. I missed out on taking some pictures as I was running out of phone battery :)“

“Cool place. We sat at a table that looked like it was framed in a sake bottle. Plenty of parking. The ramen broth was tasty. Had a lemonade and at half sweetness was perfectly sweet. “This is a really good sushi spot in a food court. The tempura, sushi, and bento boxes reminds of the old Sushi on Garfield takeout restaurant in Monterey Park (now permanently closed) before the owner changed its menu, but Sushi In The Box has many more choices.“

“This is a very cozy spot to grab a good meal. It’s not fancy or over the top, but that’s honestly part of its charm. It feels like a small local Japanese place where the focus is simply on serving good, comforting food.
The staff were very kind as well. It happened to be raining when we arrived, and they were nice enough to let us come in a little earlier than opening, which we really appreciated.
I ordered the pork cutlet with curry and the portion was very generous — definitely satisfying and full of flavor. The only small hiccup was that my Diet Coke was forgotten at first, so I had to ask again, but they brought it out shortly after.
Overall, it was a really pleasant experience. If you’re looking for a casual place with tasty food and a relaxed atmosphere, this spot is definitely worth checking out. The price per person is also very reasonable for the portion sizes you get.“

“THEY GOT SUSHI ROLLS! They hid them from me :( (not really)
Hands down one of the best ramen franchise, this location is one of less packed ones if you don't want to eat in a packed house. They had rolls on the menu the whole time but I never looked in the back. Great ramen too. My go-to is Shoyu on fire medium with extra spice ball, and gyoza combo.“

“The sushi is very delicious, and since it only contains a little rice, we can eat a lot of sushi. The staff also spent very much time making it themselves, and above all, the owner also brings service sushi to each blanket.

I got the sampler. Perfect amount and you get to try everything. Definitely coming back for the full size ramen.
They just need a tv or something to watch the games and this would be perfect. But it's a great little spot with delicious food.
The red salsa is also worth mentioning 💯“

“We stumbled upon this spot for ramen and were pleasantly surprised! The portions are great. They give you plenty of broth, and the ramen itself is really tasty. We shared the ramen and some takoyaki (which were decent), and it was more than enough for the two of us. It’s definitely tucked away in the middle of nowhere, so you really have to be looking for it to find it, but it's worth the trip if you’re craving a good bowl! 😅“
