“I am surprised by the bad reviews...I am local to HMB and go here as often as I can when I can get there early enough in the day. You have to get there early you like specific donuts since they sell out of the donuts and usually the egg rolls daily and close by early afternoon. I generally get a variety of 4-5 donuts each time I go and have never been disappointed with any of them. I get a few extra when I go since the donuts still taste great after a few days. The only negative I could say is that they only take cash but I am fine with that if I can support a local business!“

“Absolutely delightful experience on my first visit! The assortment of delicious donuts with their diverse flavors truly impressed me. The staff's friendliness and expertise in all things donuts added to the wonderful atmosphere. Despite the slightly sketchy location, don't let that deter you from experiencing these amazing treats!“

“I was pretty impressed with my visit to Royal Donut Cafe. I didn't come for their donuts, but for their breakfast and they had some of the best country fried steak I've had a in a while. The interior is very dated so that might turn some people off, but they are expanding the restaurant and taking over the space next door. They said that there is a possibility that they open for dinner in the future too. Staff were very friendly as well. Parking in the area is certainly a pain in the area, but there are paid parking lots near by. Country Fried Steak & Eggs ($15.95) was what I ordered and it was massive. I was stuffed after eating it and the steak had the perfect breading. The sausage gravy was very tasty and the hash browns were also a large portion. The eggs they also cooked really well and they don't overcook them like I accidently do at home because I love runny eggs. It is definitely worth a visit here although I have no input on their donuts or pastries personally. Their breakfast is top tier though and you get large portions. Would recommend this breakfast spot to anyone in the area.“

“The donuts are better than the fritters. The apple fritter was good but very very oily and very sweet. Sandwiches are great. I've been here a couple times and they have messed up my order each time in minor ways - one time my side order was wrong and another time my coffee was the wrong size. Otherwise they're fast and have good friendly service. Parking lot gets crowded fast.“

“I was at Little Luca next door when I saw this place. I saw the pictures on the storefront window and decided to check it out. They had a great selection of donuts as well as some cronuts. This was the first time seeing cronut holes so I decided to try them and they were delicious! The lady was very friendly as well!“

“Donuts range from ~$1 for donut/cronut holes, ~$2 for regular donuts, and ~$3 for more specialty bars and fritters. They serve savory donuts and croissant sandwiches as well. The classic glazed/raised donut was pretty good. It's less yeasty but more buttery than other glazed donuts I've tried. It's pretty light and fluffy. The cronut holes look a little sad/lopsided and they're really sweet. They're also somewhat greasy or buttery on the inside despite not having been fresh out of the oven (at the time I tried it). There are extra charges on card purchases under $10. Service was okay but not extraordinarily friendly.“
