“You've got to try Jus' Poke! It's truly the best poke in town, packed with amazing quality and flavor. When I mentioned my long drive home, the staff went the extra mile by packing my poke in separate bags of ice to ensure it stayed fresh and safe. Jus' Poke will always my got-to spot because it never fails to impress!“

“We popped into this gem to have a spot of lunch. We instantly fell in love with the atmosphere. We ordered the Teriyaki Burger (which was SO DELICIOUS!) and the Fried Chicken sandwich (perfectly juicy and tender with delicious dressing), and Hawaiian Fries. We had the frozen Maui Wowis, which were refreshing and sweet! If you’re looking for a cool place to eat delicious food, LOOK NO FURTHER. Here it is!“

“Unfortunately they scaled down the fish offering and now have only 4-5 options (spicy ahi, sweet ahi, salmon and shrimp if I recall correctly) but everything is super fresh, handed with a big smile and you have an outdoor area to sit in the sun. Love the place. I would stick to the poke. Tried the meat tacos and the chips with smoked white fish and wasn't blown away.“

“I'm sad that this place opened up after I moved away! They have great quality poke by the pound, with many flavors and also great customer service along with other dishes too. Really friendly employee that always greets me every time I come, and the poke itself is really tasty compared to the generic poke places around. I personally love flavor so I like how their poke is so flavorful, although sometimes it's a LITTLE too flavorful, which I don't mind but my wife does. I love their limu poke, the crunchy bits of seaweed from Hawaii give a really good contrast to the poke, and it's consistently one I always get from here. Prices are reasonable and I love just getting some poke from here, making rice at home, and just having a nice little dinner, that is only if I didn't finish all the poke on the way home.“

“Unbelievable restaurant, delicious food, excellent choices, and super friendly staff. Tried the Tuesday spare rib special and was incredible. Furikake chicken was great, and the loco moco is among the best I've ever had. Grabbed a couple musubi to go. Can't wait to come back.Parking: The parking lot the couple times I've been there had plenty of spots.“

“I don't usually leave reviews but I have to specifically for this place to further stray away from the scary thought that it might close due to whatever circumstance. I have never had a more delicious drink/concoction than the Kei's Lani. It is literally the most perfect thing I have ever tried. How do they manage to delicately meld together the ice cream texture and shaved ice texture with lilikoi and guava flavors? It's amazing. Their garlic fried rice is also phenomenal, a taste that is hard to find in Torrance. The cherry on top is their butter mochi with bruleed top. (Also, they have my favorite sauces like cilantro jalapeño). They fill in every aspect that I more or less find absent in other restaurants around here. Please don't ever close“

“An interesting cafe location inside a bowling alley, but it gives you that homey island life like you would find in Hawaii. We ordered a bunch of dishes to try and test out the authenticity and I must say they are all legit. Their Misoyaki Butterfish has a nice texture, a bit of sweetness and flavor from Miso and a buttery taste. The Lau Lau (steamed pork wrapped inside Taro leaves) and Kim Chi fried rice with Portuguese sausages are savory and super flavorful to each bite. The Saimin (Hawaiian soft wheat egg noodles with char siu) is exactly how it should taste just like in Hawaii. We got a Loco Moco plate to go and it did not disappoint because the gravy has a nice texture and flavor to it. We will definitely be back in the near future to try other dishes.“

“A nice and affordable place that sells very good protein bowls for $6-8! The chicken Katsu is very flavorful and it comes with a decent serving compared to the price. The Katsu plate is $4-5 increase compared to the bowl and includes a decent scoop of Mac salad and salad. Interior was fairly clean and there was no issues with parking. The staff are always super friendly and always open to suggestions when it comes to recommending what to try out! A place worth stopping by and getting some lunch during a quick break! “This is my new go-to spot when flying in and out of LAX airport. The poke was high-quality and fresh with premium fish cuts. What really stood out was the customer service/the owners - they were warm, kind, and took the time to share with us about their food. You could tell that they are passionate about their business and customer care. There were long-time regulars there, and they just gained a new one ?.“

“My goto plate place since the mid-2000s. The pricing has been increasing, but the food portion and quality are about the same, and it's around 16 to 20$ a plate currently. The place has little parking up front and a small eating area, so I highly recommend phoning in the order and picking it up to go. The katsu and beef dishes ironically are better than the chicken teriyaki dishes as well.“

“This place is a gem, I am so glad to have finally tried their food. There are lots of scrumptious options to choose from and right when I think I've made up my mind on what to get I spot the daily specials board. Mind you I did get in late for dinner so they were mostly sold out of their specials but I did not leave disappointed. The staff is friendly and very attentive, they make you feel like family. The chili is DELICIOUS! I loved it, I even took a pint of it home. Their poke is good, it was marinated with sesame oil and green onions. I also ordered a bento box and the somen salad and brocolli medley were the best parts. Overall a solid place to have a satisfying meal.“

“Really enjoyed the food here. Had the Kalua pork plate. Really tasty and cooked just right! It came with Mac salad and rice. Finished off dinner with shaved ice. Only thing I wish they served was ramen cabbage salad. I am used to having it with Kalua pork and it was strange to not offer it as a side. Overall it was a good dining experience!“

“Three words: Lahaina Fried Chicken! I highly recommend it. These fried chicken nuggets are extremely crispy, tasty and moist. The entree includes rice, macaroni salad and ramen cabbage salad. The portions are pretty big and the prices are reasonable. The decor feels like you're back home in Lahaina. You might get lucky and catch a live band!“

“"Island Hut" is a hidden gem sitting in plain sight. It's located on the corner of Lomita Blvd (x) Pennsylvania Ave--50 yards from the major intersection of Lomita Blvd (x) Crenshaw Blvd. The format is fast casual. You go to the counter to order and pay. If you are dining in, someone on staff will bring your food to the table. The dining room is clean and reasonably comfortable. There are two TVs on the walls. There's plenty of parking. This restaurant features a lot of meal sets you find if you were in Hawaii--spam and eggs, teriyaki, chicken katsu, ect. Primarily, I go for the loco moco. It's a hamburger patty and two eggs (sunny side up), served on top of steamed rice with beef gravy. There's also a side serving of macaroni salad. With a fountain drink and tax, my ticket is under $20.00. We don't have Zippy's in California, and this store spares me a drive to Gardena.“

“I love eating at Auntie's and I can't stop raving about their breakfast burritos! Without a doubt, Auntie's serves up the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. My go-to order is the bacon and Portuguese sausage combo, minus the tater tots, and it never disappoints. Also I love the traditional Hawaiian music that plays as I'm enjoying my food. It always creates a calm and comfortable environment.I've explored breakfast burrito options all over the South Bay and Los Angeles, and nothing even comes close to Auntie's. The flavor profile is absolutely outstanding. The bacon is thick and delightfully crunchy, elevating every bite to a whole new level of deliciousness. What makes Auntie's even more remarkable is their support for law enforcement. They go the extra mile by hosting "coffee with a cop" events periodically, fostering better communication between the public and the Gardena police department. It's heartwarming to see the mayor of Gardena, Chief, and Captain attend these events, demonstrating Auntie's commitment to the community.Auntie's isn't just a restaurant; it's a place where you can savor incredible breakfast burritos and feel good about supporting a business that actively engages with its local law enforcement and community. If you're in the area, Auntie's is a must-visit spot for a truly unforgettable breakfast experience.“

“This is hand down the **BEST** poke place we have found! We moved away to Long Beach and have tried several local places but none of them come close in quality or taste. We actually still make the drive to come back to All About Poke in San Pedro since it is unmatched. Not only is the food amazing - the staff that prepares it is as well. In fact, Sunny still remembers our orders without even us having to tell them to her! First class service. You will not find a better place out there - trust me, we've looked!“

“This is a no nonsense local restaurant. The smell as you walk in is unbelievably inviting. Smells like real, home cooked BBQ. I ordered the Momona Combo Plate since it’s my first time trying out this place. That combo has BBQ Chicken, Kalbi and Beef ribs. I highly recommend you give this place a try. Your taste buds, your tummy and your wallet will thank you. Also you might try calling in your order ahead of time to avoid a wait as food is made to order.“
“My second time here and I ordered the pecan and banana pancake combo with portuguese sausage. The sausage was delicious and the pancakes were amazing. I put a little butter and syrup on the pancakes and think next time I would just use a little more butter and no syrup. The pancakes were sweet just by themselves. Highly recommend this place if you are in the area.“
“Thanks to the guys at Anytime Hawaiian for a great local dinner. We were craving some local food and found Anytime Hawaiian right across the Disneyland bus depot on Harbor. Great guys and great food. Thank you. We will definitely be back again. Aloha“

“I’m amazed. I was just passing by and decided to have Maui Chicken. DELICIOUS! I ordered salmon and avocado poke bowl, 100% recommend this place. Service amazing, they are very polite. It was a very hot day, I forgot to order water or anything to drink, the owner gave me a cold water bottle before leaving and said “it’s a very hot day outside, have some water”. They literally treat you like family. I saved this place in my favorites, I’m coming back. It wasn’t the free water for me, it was how kind they are here, they are laughing all the time, very nice energy. Food is AMAZING, taste and freshness are incredible. Portions are perfect, not too much rice. The plate comes with rice, A LOT of toppings, salad and mac&cheese for $19. It’s not overpriced at all, I don’t mind paying, when food and service are 5 stars. Thank you Maui Chicken, I’ll be back soon.*Food was so good I couldn’t stop, forgot to take a pic of my plate haha.“

“Last week I was traveling through LA on my way to Santa Barbara. I had some time to kill so I looked up Poke. Came across this amazing place! I am admittedly new to Poke. The staff took good care of me and I wound up having such a hard decision. I think the spicy Poke might have been might absolute favorite. I can’t wait for my next trip to LA so I can stop there again!“

“The green salad and fried shrimps lacked the taste, which sounded mediocre. However, the macaroni one and dumplings (I forgot the name) were okay, while the yakisoba was tenderly good. Even the service was excellent with a fantastic atmosphere. Loved the restaurant since it was good to visit, as I'd recommend it.“

“This is not a build your own poke place and they use flavors that you would find on the island, so the flavors might not be for everyone. But for me, this is the place! When ever I miss home, or even just around, I always come by and grab a bowl. The flavor is excellent. The portions are fantastic. And they got Musubi if you need.Just come early or you’ll get the old stuff.Btw Ginger is my favorite but if you want something more mainland the Cali or Mayo are friggin good too. Go experiment. Try something new ?“

“I love Rutt's Hawaiian Cafe. The staff is so nice...But I come for the foooood! Especially the MEATS! This is the best BBQ, Hawaiian or otherwise, for the BEST prices and the biggest portion. I love them. P.S., they also do great takeout for the same big-portion-for-small-price-PLUS-sauce experience!“

“Some of the best poke I've ever had. I feel like all poke places skimp on the fish, but that didn't ruin my experience given how fresh it was here. Good selection of toppings, and the avocado was incredibly fresh - score! Worth the price for sure. Would definitely recommend.“

“I had a super weird experience here the other day, but as their food is always good, I'll let it pass for now. We have stopped going to other places in the area due to how managers treat their employees. In this case, it was a manager who kindly corrected their employee, but it was still weird what the employee did.I'm not going to go into details, but I was impressed with the way the manager did not belittle the employee, but did make sure I knew they would be talked to.I was not the perfect patron in this situation either, as I was on an important call and tried to do the transaction the first time before wrapping up the call.I ended up finishing the call and coming back in to learn that the transaction could have been made easily, but alas, perhaps me being on the call made the person not want to help me easily. Either way, we will still be returning as I appreciated the situation for what it was and I was impressed with the manager.“

“The poke here is good, and the portions are fair. I got the salmon poke, because earlier this week I got the tuna poke from somewhere else. I would definitely comeback and have the poke here. I must admit, I was tempted in upgrading my review to this place because the Del Amo Mall was pretty dead when I got here. I didn't want to overhype a good restaurant to potentially disappoint future customers.“

“Best way to start the week! While I love the breakfast burrito, #6, and hawaiian French toast; I cannot resist a side of the regular hawaiian toast. It is a buttery, crispy wedge of King's Hawaiian bread. Not even King's Hawaiian uses the round loaf for their toast!!! Honestly, everything is pretty yum, the service is good, and it's local. If you remember, bring cash, they take cards but cash helps them out.“

“The food is amazing and our favorite and 90% of the staff is rad. There’s a younger girl that works there that refuses to make the bobba drink that they advertise. They’re either out or the machine is broke, but ONLY when she’s working. The taller young guy always makes it hands down and with a great attitude. I always thought she was lying but today I just saw the young guy over hear me try to order one so he attempted to make one and she stopped him dead in his tracks and gave him that look. I just laughed and shook my head. To the gentlemen, you’re going places. Keep it up. To the young lady…smfh.“

“We order from here every two weeks or so but rarely dine in. Good portions. Prices have increased (like everywhere else) in the last few years. The drive through line is kind of slow and one time out of five or so the chicken katsu is dry, but otherwise never had a bad experience here and they are pretty consistent.“

“A fantastic little eatery where I could get a great affordable meal fast and eat in or take out. The menu is expansive and authentic Hawaiian BBQ. This is a chain on the Hawaiian islands and it was nice to eat at here in Torrance. I got the pork bowl with cabbage, but they have really good mahi mahi and chicken katsu with a side of macaroni salad. Too many choices!“

“Best I have had around anywhere in Los Angeles. By the looks you wouldn't understand how incredibly fresh and always perfect this poke and sushi comes out ever time. Never disappointed. This review is food quality only. The staff is amazing here but they are not servers. They provide the best over the counter poke bowl around. “I discovered this place back in 2018 when I moved to southbay from SouthPass. Love their pho, it's fragrant and full of flavor both there pho(s) and bun (cold) noodles. They are both great during the summer and winter months. Their bahn mi sands are decent, but I like their soups better. I have had their poke bowls, which you can customize if you have cravings. I have ordered numerous times for take out and delivery. If you do decide to eat in house, the people are great, friendly, and hospitable. The restaurant is a bit small and not good for large groups. It is located right off the PCH in Lomita and in the same parking lot as with Maru Korean Restaurant which is a good eats place.“

“Having been raised in Hawaii it's hard to find good local Hawaiian bbq. I was hesitant because Ono's Hawaiian bbq is a chain restaurant in California but every time I've tried it it's a nice reminder of home. My favorite would be the fire chicken or the bbq beef. Price is a little expensive for a plate but other than that it's solid in flavor! Oh and the musubis are overpriced“

Their food is amazing, I crave their wonton appetizer all of the time that is complimentary. The egg drop soup is DELICIOUS. Also complimentary . ( I may be wrong) you get a huge amount of deliciousness for quite a deal. YOU WILL NOT REGRET COMING HERE. The ambience is perfect is so, so calm. “Food is always fresh and tender in my opinion best dish I had was the katsu bbq mix. Came with a scoop of rice and one scoop of macaroni salad( which I love very much), aswell as the katsu chicken and bbq chicken aswell as bbq beef. Simplicity at its best... ohh yeah they also have one of my favorite items from they're place which are spam mitsubi. They also substitute the spam for beef or chicken really intrigued to try the other two but when I get there the spam always wins a bit pricey but worth it in my opinion. Give it a try if it ever crosses you're mind .“
