Great indoor and outdoor atmoshpere, the chicken schnitzel was delish, TBH the beet salad could have had some more beets, but was still yummy. Didn't take any pics, we were too busy talking lol, but def a great place in Highland Park.“

“I've been plant-based for over 10 years... this Deli proved to be TOP TIER in my experience. The owner gave his wife all the credit for the recipes too, so you know the vibes are right. This further affirmed the intentionality of flavor, ingredient use, and pairings. I literally order a new sandwich of theirs every weekend, and I'm continuously fulfilled, not to mention I feel like I still have tons to taste test. Their menu is ample. When I finally made it to the shop to see where the magic happened, I was further enamored with the deli offerings. Literally all of it: the array of protein offerings, the Rebel Cheese they sell, the ingredient knowledge demonstrated by the staff... I happily overspent. This place is food science taken to the next level of flavor. Queso dip is a must-try, and the Gouda-Steak sandwich is a star. That being said, I've never not loved a menu item here. Grateful for their mission and vision, and flavor achievement!“

“The pizza was to die for — we had the margarita pizza — thin crust and sauce delicious. We had the artichoke burrata appetizer which was delicious too. The area where the restaurant is located is very cool. Enjoyable all the way around.“

“Not a big fan of sitting on the side of street where people walk by and you intake that fumes coming from all these traffic. Got to sit inside by the bar, the food here is okay, but a bit pricey for what it's worth. Been to many affordable to very expensive sushi places in the U.S. and in Asia, this place is more IG/social media friendly picturesque place than an actual sushi/sashimi place. Not much nigiri/sashimi choices. Not a big fan of places that sell pre-made canned alcohol with an extreme markup.“

I got the whitefish salad bagel (closed) and it was so delicious and packed!!! It’s definitely worth the price that’s for sure. Fair pricing overall. Lots of street parking but not very many actual seating so just be wary. Would 100% come back“

“The little plates are yummy. I love the pita bread that came with the hummus (Salatim plate). The other plates were good also. I loved the bread pudding (I think it's better than the best cake). What I like the most about Bacari, besides the beautiful ambiance, is the friendliest staff.“

“The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.“

“Was super happy with our dinner at Hippo. Every dish was delicious. The brussel sprouts and cauliflower starters had excellent flavors. All the pastas we tried had incredible depth of flavor without being overly heavy or greasy. The hippo rolls and table focaccia were excellent and the chicken thighs were to die for. “While seemingly a modest hole in the wall, this is a michellin-rated bake shop renowned for its namesake Armenian pies, filled with an unbelievably complex and dense mixture of at least 12 chopped herbs and greens...dill, sorrel, beet leaves, spinach, chervil, cilantro, scallions, chard, purslane, tarragon, and dandelion greens. Each herb contributes distinct flavor characteristics but the ratio to achieve a balance of acidity/tangy. sweetness, and aromatic complexity is reportedly very hard to get right . The dough , sometimes described as translucently thin but crisp, tender, bouncy and flavorful, somehow maintains structural integrity and moisture control. The overall effect of the pie is super 🔥“

“We had minced pork on rice, beef noodle soup, Dan Dan noodles, basil eggplant, pork belly bun, shaved ice and dou hua.
Overall, the food is pretty good. With some fine tunes, it can be closer to the yummy level of food in Taiwan, like some red beans in dessert are still hard, Dou Hua is too dry and needs some liquid or shaved ice to go with it, traditional shaved ice is too sweet though I like it much better than Korean style shaved ice, and brown rice is too hard. Service is good. Staff is nice. The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. Order at the counter, self service for water, extra bowls and utensils.
We live in the west side, and we will come back to try other stuff on the menu.“

“Amazing place. A real gem and great find. The mackerel bento tier 2 was amazing. The fish was butter and crispy. All the vegetables were so tasty too. The area it’s in is a bit rough, but this place is worth it. The inside is decorated nicely and it’s a nice atmosphere. The staff was nice and the even gave us cute holiday cookies. After searching around online and social media this place looked beautiful from their aesthetics however their menu, service, food and the atmosphere itself lived up to the expectation!
Very easy to get a table, food came out with not really even much of a wait, restaurant is super stunning and classy.

“Finally came to Ahgassi Gopchang on my latest trip to LA. My friends had been raving about it. We got there around 5:30 on a Sunday and only waited maybe 10–15 minutes for a table for 3. Loved looking at all the Kpop groups and celebrity signatures in the meantime.

We ordered the large intestine bbq selection for 3 people, and it was SO GOOD. One of the best meals I’ve had recently. So nice that the servers help cook the meat — I would not have known when they were fully cooked. The banchan and sides are also delicious. Loved the steamed egg and cold broth. The intestine is so flavorful, chewy and succulent — barely needed the sauces.

Toward the end, servers used the remaining intestines and fat to make fried rice. We were so full at that point, but it was so good. I legitimately can’t wait to plan another trip to LA just to go to Ahgassi again. For 3 people plus soju and including tip, we paid $172 ($57/person).“
