“Can’t wait to come back for a positive review after my first be bright pour-over as I think I had the best bean in North America and haven’t had a good quality of Geisha for long time.
I dropped by for a cold brew and grabbed a bag of “unique & surprising” to go and the barista shared a small cup of its cold brew for me to taste. I am glad i have tried because it was really surprised by its freshness and flavor and almost wanted to have another large cup of coffee if it’s not my first drink at that day of arrival after a 5 hr flight without a full meal😿
I followed the brew guide on the website but have cut half of the size and still get the same profile as I have had for cold brew.
I will definitely come back for other coffee drinks next time🙌

“Really amazing and very good food. I was a table of one and was able to sit down within 15 minutes compared to usual hour long wait.

I got the HK style french toast, very sweet and more of a dessert but it was amazing nonetheless. Second item i got was the cold sesame noodle (no chicken) and i’ve never had this amazing dish before and it was life changingly good.

Funny story but they threw away my food while i was in the bathroom for two minutes but they apologized and gave me a free meal to go and pastry. I didn’t care that much but happy they fixed an error!

Bodega sando was perfection! Pastries were alright...most looked better than they tasted. I'd say they were good but not great.“

“Open Market catered a wedding reception I was coordinating in October, and they were wonderful. Their restaurant is one of the bride's favorites, and they were great. The food is delicious, and I'm working on getting my husband over there soon. They couldn't have been more accommodating and flexible during the planning, and they were straight pros at the reception. As a planner, I love caterers that are easy to work with and easy for my couple's to work with, and it was a great experience for everyone.

“My experience at Saby’s is always phenomenal. I live close by and this has turned into my go to weekend brunch spot. The food is incredible (I get the chipotle chicken breakfast burrito) almost every time and it never fails to disappoint. Sometimes the food can take a bit but that’s because there is always a line out the door and around the corner! The services is great, the workers are so welcoming and kind (especially Javier, he is the absolute man!!), and every time I come I leave with new appreciation for the establishment. Their coffee is also delicious, I get the Spanish latte with oak milk and it never fails to disappoint. 10/10 would recommend Saby’s to any and everyone!! Also special shoutout to whoever is on aux, they play absolute banger after banger on repeat (atmosphere is elite)!!“

The dessert and drink menu were simple and not over-the-top, which I really liked. I was surprised to see more foreigners than Koreans, even though cafés like this usually attract a lot of Koreans. “This Latina woman–owned coffee shop is such a hidden gem. From the outside it might look a little rough, but step inside and you’ll be greeted with the warmest service and the most delicious food. I had the best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in a long time, and the mazapán latte was out of this world. PERFECTLY made. “Absolutely amazing to see a third space like this when its become increasingly difficult to find them nowadays. Place was packed with college students and being in such a lively place made studying a lot more enjoyable. The place almost seems too good to be true as you can set your own prices for whatever you order so long as its over a dollar; your first order is actually free! I got the vanilla oatmilk latte and was shocked at just how good it is. I wish I knew about this place sooner knowing i've been paying $7.50 for coffee that wasnt as good. Will definitely be coming back whenever I have the chance.“

“If you’re reading this, here’s the short version: this is easily one of the best restaurants in Culver City, and you need to try it now!

It’s a small spot in downtown Culver City that you could walk past without noticing. I’m glad I didn’t. There are a couple of tables outside, but most of the seating is indoors. The space is modern, clean, and relaxing.

We ordered three dishes, all recommended by our waiter. The mussel toast is a must. Every bite is savory and packed with seafood flavor. For mains, we had the short rib and rainbow trout. The short rib was perfection. Cooked over fire and served with crispy potato strings. It’s something you get at high-end steakhouse but at half the price. The rainbow trout looked beautiful and tasted fresh, though the citrus was a bit stronger than I prefer.

For dessert, we couldn’t resist the churro and ice cream sandwich. The ice cream (another must try), sourced from a Persian maker, was rich with rose, honey, and pistachio. The presentation was just as impressive. The churros were decent, though I wished they were crispier and the dipping sauce was thicker.

Overall, I’d give this place a solid five stars. The food is close to Michelin quality without the Michelin prices. Go and you won’t be disappointed.“

“Second time here, first time I had lunch. This time I tried the breakfast quesadilla with grilled chicken & spinach, guacamole and salsa garnish. Delicious! We also ordered the avocado toast with poached eggs, another winner! Both came with fresh fruit. Ordered the Berry ice tea and split a red velvet cheesecake bar. Service was prompt, tea refills and boxes to go. The atmosphere is so quaint and cute. Dine in front of the fireplace, on the front porch, back yard or out front. You decide. Order at counter when you enter and don’t pass the yummy desserts!“

“Stopped in on a Saturday morning. Not too busy, we were able to walk in and order. I got an iced matcha with no sweetener. The flavor was delicious! The matcha tasted authentic and fresh. It had such great flavor, I really enjoyed it! My significant other ordered an iced coffee drink and he really liked it! We will definitely be back. The seating there seems more like a quick sit down and go. Although, I did see some people with computers. There were also some outdoor seating, but those were all full upon my stay there. “This is a nice family-owned type place serving primarily Mexican and Mexican-inspired dishes. We went for breakfast and had omelettes - very tasty. The ambience is clean, quiet, and friendly. Prices are in line with the area (this is Hollywood after all) but trending to the more affordable end of the scale. There is a very nice outdoor seating area and a very small parking lot. There is more parking in the nearby area but you'll have to take a short walk. The service was fast, accurate, and attentive. Our overall experience was excellent and we've already decided to come back next time we're in this area.“

This morning, since we were having church at home, I put Hilltop to the test and ordered two of their shrimp breakfast bowls—and let me tell you, this dish preaches. Think perfectly seasoned shrimp—tender with just the right sear—laid over a hearty base of fluffy jasmine rice. Add in velvety scrambled eggs, roasted sweet potatoes with that caramelized edge, and fresh sautéed kale that gives you that “I’m still eating healthy” balance. Drizzle on their house-made sauce (that hits somewhere between tangy and soulful), and you’ve got a bowl that feels like Sunday brunch and grandma’s kitchen got together and made magic.

“We happened upon this delicious little gem, in Montrose, after viewing the immersive Van Gogh exhibit in Hollywood. Incredibly… the decor was all Van Gogh art prints! Perfectly in tun with our afternoon. The French owner is an absolute delight. We ordered a Moroccan chicken dish and beef bourguignon. The portions were very hearty and absolutely delicious. We also upgraded our dinner to include salad and a lovely blueberry tart for dessert. The entire experience was memorable! We’ll definitely be back and bringing friends!“
