“People raved about this sushi restaurant, it was decent but I don't think I'd go back. The service was outstanding, the food was good, but the prices are expensive for what you get. IMHO, there are better sushi restaurants for the same $. You won't have a bad meal, it just left me wanting for more. The only negative about this place is the loud noise inside, it's difficult to have a conversation without yelling, which only adds to the noise.“

“Great little hole in the wall to fulfill your raw fish cravings. If you are tempted to try without breaking the bank or overcommitting to something new, I suggest you come here during the happy hour between 3 and 5pm and get their hand rolls. Its a little early for beer for me, but that is also on special at that time.

Parking: Shared with a lot of other places in the Walmart center, can get busy but can usually find something a few rows away.“

“Wow, wow, wow! I've been meaning to come to this place, and I finally got the chance to go for my birthday. My bestie and I both ordered the Yamasaki Set. It was truly worth every penny! During our meal, I texted my husband that "we had to come back, so he can have the same experience that I did." It was THAT good. Our set starts off with the seafood salad (came with little white fishies, scallops, and salmon sashimi, 5 pc sashimi (smoked albacore, halibut, tuna, kanpachi, and ankimo), 3 piece nigiri (salmon, hotate, and yellowtail), 1 toro handroll, another 3 piece nigiri (mackerel, blue fin tuna, amberjack), miso soup (one of the better miso soups I've ever had since it was more rich), 1 blue crab handroll, then finish with a otoro and uni nigiri. I'm sure some pieces tend to change, but this is what we received. OMG! This was all that I wanted for my birthday. Everything was truly amazing! I'm already thinking about going back asap! The ambiance was lovely. Our service was even better. There's free parking in the plaza. Thank you again, Fisherman's Table Yamasaki for a memorable birthday dinner. One for the books!“

“Super tasty, unpretentious, simple sushi. Came in for lunch, the waiter pointed out a special close to what I had wanted in case I didn't see the better deal. Had a beer in the coldest mug ever! Spicy tuna and a cali roll were served quick on the same plate. Veggie tempura was filling and good. Also had the rice and miso soup, all were good with no discrepancies. My only drawback is presentation, no wow or zaz in the serving. 10/10 would still come back for lunch or date. Fast and attentive service.“

“Beautiful place, guys are gentle. Clean, good flavor. Fresh is fresh, crunchy is crunchy. You can be aware the make everything in the right way. Prices are fair you pay $16 and cents for a regular poke bowl which is more than less the standard price. I just came to the market and decided to try it, and no regrets at all. “I found this sushi restaurant while I was walking down the streets of huntington beach, they serve a vast assortment of different types of sushi there, i ordered my food. They brought me some wasabi and ginger and my drink, then they brought me my sushi, and it was very delicious, i give sushi on fire a five star rating for meeting my standards and delivering a delicious midday meal for me, i would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good sushi while they're at huntington beach.“

“Quality to cost ratio is great. The fish is very fresh, fatty, and soft. The workers are very polite and kind as well. I would definitely give it a shot if exploring the area. I personally ordered Sushi combo B, Unagi roll, and the California (all are good choices). The unagi blew me away for the price, it’s hard to find unless traveling to a high end spot

“Great ramen and sushi restaurant in a small strip mall. Plenty of parking. The restaurant is not big, but has a large table in the middle for a larger group and some smaller tables for groups of 2 to 6, and some bar seating. We were warmly greeted and could sit anywhere. We ordered two ramen soups, a truffle mushroom variety and a spicy beef version. With both, we chose them as a combo with gyoza and spicy tuna, respectively. The soups came quickly and looked and tasted amazing. They played country music, which was a bit unexpected. But still 5 stars for food and service. Overall, a place we have bookmarked for our next trip.“

Parking: The restaurant is near the south end of a mini mall, with a CVS to the north and a gas station to the south. There is a large parking lot with plenty of availability.

“I stopped in on a whim to see what they had and got a Rollrrito (their Oahu) and it was phenomenal. Lots of fresh fish & all the ingredients bright, vibrant and crisp (for the veggies). I have was back there within a week as I craved their fresh, delicious food. The staff are great as went last night at 10 min before closing. They were just as friendly, nothing was packed up (pre-closing) and it was beyond delicious & hit the spot. I will be frequenting this place for a while now. I have only had the rollrrittos so far but I know everything there is all good!!!“

“Ordered New York & Shrimp to-go, white rice w/vegetables adding Miso soup. White rice was the best part, don't get me wrong the food was good just not worth $45.14. The Teriyaki sauce tasted like it was made by a white guy trying too hard to cook Japanese food.The vegetables were cooked perfectly! I became a bit spoiled for Japanese food in HB from eating at Matsu (Beach & Talbert) since 1978, but this was okay food, I really can't complain much. I am wondering why at 7:30PM on a Wednesday night the dining room was a ghost town?!?It was the best Japanese food I've had on Beach Blvd. in HB for a long time. Matsu has gone downhill since it changed ownership in the 90's, but I think I found my new favorite Japanese restaurant to eat at in HB.I think I was happy with my food overall, I'll give it a solid 7 out of 10. If the staff were a bit more friendly, I'd give you another point, let's see what happens the next time I visit this restaurant.Good job people. ?

Parking: This restaurant is located in the old HB Fire Station across the street from Taco Bell, plenty of parking but would be better if it had a little bit more lighting.“

“I just had an amazing experience here. I'm relatively new to sushi, just checking out the local restaurants near my apartment.

I showed up at around 5:30pm after opening and ordered a few different things at the bar. I was the only person there and got to talking with the sushi chef, who was incredibly friendly, honest, and welcoming. They taught me how to do everything without it being uncomfortable at all, even down to the beer recommendation. The food was of course delicious, tasted quite fresh, and was prepared beautifully.

I learned that the place has dedicated regularly customers, which it remains faithful to - apparently the restaurant has been here since 1984 (or was it '82?).

Easy recommend.“
