30 Best Sushi Bars in Huntington Beach

“I was conflicted about whether to give Rol 4 or 5 stars. I’m a sushi and hand roll aficionado. I’d eat it daily and I’ve been to most of the places in SoCal. The fish quality here is very good. I got the lunch special and at $16 for 4 rolls that’s a very good price. But the rolls are very small. Usually I can have enough at 5 rolls to be full. Here I had 6 and I could have still eaten more.

Other than that, I have no complaints. It’s a clean restaurant located right off beach blvd in main part of city. The servers were attentive and nice. I’m just a big eater and I would have to order 7-8 rolls to feel satisfied.“

“Great little hole in the wall to fulfill your raw fish cravings. If you are tempted to try without breaking the bank or overcommitting to something new, I suggest you come here during the happy hour between 3 and 5pm and get their hand rolls. Its a little early for beer for me, but that is also on special at that time.

Parking: Shared with a lot of other places in the Walmart center, can get busy but can usually find something a few rows away.“

“Super tasty, unpretentious, simple sushi. Came in for lunch, the waiter pointed out a special close to what I had wanted in case I didn't see the better deal. Had a beer in the coldest mug ever! Spicy tuna and a cali roll were served quick on the same plate. Veggie tempura was filling and good. Also had the rice and miso soup, all were good with no discrepancies. My only drawback is presentation, no wow or zaz in the serving. 10/10 would still come back for lunch or date. Fast and attentive service.“

“I found this sushi restaurant while I was walking down the streets of huntington beach, they serve a vast assortment of different types of sushi there, i ordered my food. They brought me some wasabi and ginger and my drink, then they brought me my sushi, and it was very delicious, i give sushi on fire a five star rating for meeting my standards and delivering a delicious midday meal for me, i would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good sushi while they're at huntington beach.“

He did mention he was supposed to be off, so it was like he wasn't even trying in the end. The whole reason my family and I chose to eat there that night was to be entertained. “Came when it wasn't busy. Shared a large poke bowl between the 2 of us which was plenty of food. We ordered salmon, tuna, albacore, and tempura shrimp as our proteins and liked that they offered seaweed salad, mango, mandarin, tamago, edamame, ginger, smelt egg as toppings.
It was a little warm when we stayed indoors to eat. They also had outdoor seating.“

“I just had an amazing experience here. I'm relatively new to sushi, just checking out the local restaurants near my apartment.

I showed up at around 5:30pm after opening and ordered a few different things at the bar. I was the only person there and got to talking with the sushi chef, who was incredibly friendly, honest, and welcoming. They taught me how to do everything without it being uncomfortable at all, even down to the beer recommendation. The food was of course delicious, tasted quite fresh, and was prepared beautifully.

I learned that the place has dedicated regularly customers, which it remains faithful to - apparently the restaurant has been here since 1984 (or was it '82?).

“Ordered New York & Shrimp to-go, white rice w/vegetables adding Miso soup. White rice was the best part, don't get me wrong the food was good just not worth $45.14. The Teriyaki sauce tasted like it was made by a white guy trying too hard to cook Japanese food.The vegetables were cooked perfectly! I became a bit spoiled for Japanese food in HB from eating at Matsu (Beach & Talbert) since 1978, but this was okay food, I really can't complain much. I am wondering why at 7:30PM on a Wednesday night the dining room was a ghost town?!?It was the best Japanese food I've had on Beach Blvd. in HB for a long time. Matsu has gone downhill since it changed ownership in the 90's, but I think I found my new favorite Japanese restaurant to eat at in HB.I think I was happy with my food overall, I'll give it a solid 7 out of 10. If the staff were a bit more friendly, I'd give you another point, let's see what happens the next time I visit this restaurant.Good job people. ?

Parking: This restaurant is located in the old HB Fire Station across the street from Taco Bell, plenty of parking but would be better if it had a little bit more lighting.“
