“I've been going to Maria'a since I was a kid. My parents, when they arrived to the US from Mexico would go there and so did my aunts and uncles and cousins. Now I take my kids to eat there. The restaurant has always been the same with great quality food and great service. Maria's restaurant is a gem in the community and will hopefully be there for many more generations. Don't sleep on this place, give it a try.“

I loved the food, their breakfast burrito so yummy and their chilaquiles too. Loved their salsa. Overall great experience and a nice environment to get breakfast and catch up with a friend. “What an amazing experience at Meteora. I absolutely loved the atmosphere, the aesthetics of the decor, the service and the food. This was my second time here as I came shortly after they opened years ago and this time around was a delight. This immersive space is worth the reservation alone. It's so pretty and innovative. The ambience is so warm and welcoming. The manager is amazing as he was very attentive in meeting our request for specific seating. The servers were very friendly and knowledgeable about each entree. The wine pairing was perfect. I do have one critique regarding the meal. The Japanese Yam dish was served charred. I have a very refined palate and I could tell immediately that it wasn't charred but rather burnt. I could not eat the yam as it was quite bitter. Other than this hiccup, the meal was delicious. I truly enjoyed my second visit and will definitely return as well as recommend Meteora to friends and clients.“

“We have been going to Horses ever since they opened since it’s right in our neighborhood. The most friendly staff with a big shout out to Amanda. The most amazing craft cocktails and absolutely delicious food. I think we’ve almost tried everything on the menu and have not been disappointed once. Can be hard to get a reservation, but we usually get there at 5:15 and are able to sit at the bar with no problem.“

“My cousin and I came here on a Friday evening around 6:30 PM and were pleasantly surprised that we were seated right away with no reservation. The vibe was beautiful from the moment we walked in. The lighting was cute, there was a pool in the center of the space, and everyone was dressed up which added to the atmosphere without feeling too formal.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming from the start with lots of smiles and easy conversation. Our waiter was incredibly kind and genuine. The only issue was that he forgot to put in our order the first time so he had to come back and take it again. When the food came out he forgot a few things but he seemed a bit overwhelmed so maybe it was just a busy night.
The food came out very fast and it was absolutely amazing. Everything we tried was flavorful and beautifully presented. The menu had so many good options that it honestly took me a while to decide what to get because I wanted to try everything.
Overall it was a great experience. There were a few bumps in service but the overall vibe and quality of the food more than made up for it. I would definitely come back.“

“If you’re going to the Academy Museum for a visit or a screening make sure to stop at Fanny’s (located inside the museum’s first floor) for a coffee, snack or meal. They have a cafe and restaurant, both offering quality food and beverages and a full bar. The restaurant has comfortable seating options and the cafe offers outdoor seating. The service is friendly and attentive. You’ll definitely have a great time and a good meal!“

“To start, we really do love the food but we always get take-out and of the 10+ times I’ve ordered EVERY SINGLE TIME ITS A NIGHTMARE TO PICK UP.

The pickup area is in the far corner of the restaurant and a sign in the front says wait to be helped. Somehow, it always takes at least 5 minutes to be acknowledged and then when I can finally get someone’s attention they either are very specific about the name on the order (ie, if I said Mike for Michael, they’d say they don’t see the order) OR they just say “it’s over there”. The one time I walked right over to pick it up they told me to please wait to be helped… please figure this out and I will be happy to give this otherwise delicious neighborhood gem 5 stars.“

“After our Altadena house burned down, we relocated to Barker Block and absolutely love being so close to Manuela. We used to have a fire table like yours, so dining here always carries a sense of home. Last night we brought friends, and they said, ‘This makes it hard to go out to eat in Monrovia—our restaurants cut corners with cheap ingredients and fast turnover.’ What your chefs create is the opposite: dishes with not just incredible flavor but extraordinary texture and detail. After searching around online and social media this place looked beautiful from their aesthetics however their menu, service, food and the atmosphere itself lived up to the expectation!

“I had lunch with a colleague and arrived on opening at noon. It was my colleague's first visit here and it was a sunny clear day that set the stage for a breathtaking rooftop view. Food was delicious. I had a Cobb salad that was fresh and well presented, and colleague had birria tacos that were rather small but very tasty. Servers were friendly and attentive. Will be back!“

“The Raymond is one of my favorite restaurants in the area, for its intimate setting and delicious food. If you want a casual experience, opt to sit outside in the courtyard under the lights or by the fireplace. But if you want a more intimate setting, sit inside the historic house where it feels cozy and hospitable. (Reminds me of other restaurant “house” settings like The Hobbit and French Laundry!) We enjoyed the ahi tuna appetizer, as well as the Caesar salad with grilled salmon. The tater tot side was a surprise favorite and was gone in a flash. My favorite was the tomahawk special! It was absolutely cooked to medium-rare perfection, with each melt-in-your-mouth piece dipped in either peppercorn or chimichurri sauce. The Caymus cabernet paired incredibly well with this dish! For dessert, the bread pudding was very moist and not too sweet. We had a table in the corner and were able to have a great conversation with our friends without struggling to hear.
