Top fav item - Tiramisu Croissant! 12/10
Crispy and flaky pastry with the vanilla bean mascarpone filling and espresso-soaked nilla wafers
And the cocoa niba and dusting of cocoa powder! There was also a mini Easter egg nest on top since we went on Easter.
What a phenomenal combination! 3 of us shared this one and it was all our favorite. And we could all have gone for more!

Chicken Tetrazzini Chef's (chef's special) 11/10
My favorite among the savory croissants!
It had leeks & chicken in fondue sauce + roasted red pepper hot sauce on top.
It was actually the perfect balance of crispy and the right amount of spicy sauce and I think this this croissant set such a high bar that everything else in the savory menu felt to plain haha.

Soy Glazed Short Rib 10/10
Wow!! Definitely was surprised by that whole chunk of short rib right in the middle of the croissant. Was actually cooked perfectly well and had a really lovely flavor! The herby topping was also really delicious and everything went well together.

Summer Squash (spring special) 6/10
(summer squash, olive oil, salt, pepper, taleggio cheese sauce, and dill green garlic chimichumi)
Honestly was not as much a fan of this one. I think the squash and fillings overall were a little too soggy for my liking. Nice flavors though. Sister in law liked it.

English muffin sandwich with turkey 8/10
Swapped out the sausage in the sandwich for turkey to get some lean protein. I think the sausage would have added a lot more depth of flavor because the turkey made it a little plain but it would be lovely with a little bit of hot sauce. Big highlight though was the natural English muffin! So soft!

Sourdough hot cross bun 8/10
Lovely flavor here! It had that spiced flavor and the dried fruit inside which was yum.
Knocked off points because it was just fine. No wow factor to get it again.

Crunch Wrap Supreme Croissant
Very creative one! Had a flavorful beef filling and gave all the vibes you expect, but personally not my favorite.

Caesar Salad 3/10
Honestly something was a little off here. Not sure if it was the actual lettuce leaves. Most of the bites felt quite bitter.. the grated Parmesan and black garlic dusting on top was lovely though. We had asked for the dressing on the side and dressing itself was quite tasty. So overall probably just the lettuce leaves themselves which were bitter.“

“If you like mochi, this shop is a must visit. I really like the strawberry daifuku (both the red bean and white bean version), tsubaki (white bean mochi), and peanut butter mochi. The shop is small so there is only one bench inside to sit and eat. The woman who helped us was very patient and nice. Definitely worth a visit if you like mochi.“

“Amaya was so easy to work with from before placing an order to post-delivery for our baby shower. On our initial call, she listened carefully to my requests and how I envisioned our dessert table to look like. She was always available via text messages or phone calls for any questions. Her prices were also reasonable. On the day of the delivery, my friend who was handling my event set up said Amaya was very sweet and came on time to deliver the desserts. She even left us a sweet thoughtful card congratulating us on our baby shower. As for the desserts, they were to die for!! I don’t have much of a sweet tooth and my husband is all about desserts. So between the two of us, we can be picky. From the cookies to the fruit cups to the cupcakes, everything was delicious. Special shoutout to the fruit cups, they were so good (highly recommend them)!! Our guests loved the desserts and asked where we got them from. “The bread here is amazing! I arrived in the morning around 830am and the smell is intoxicating in the best way. I ordered the regular pan de sal as well as the ube and cheese pan de sal. It's the best pan de sal I have ever had! It melts in your mouth and has the ideal pillowy texture you want. The ube variety has the cheese inside and it is perfect! You can't eat just 1. The customer service was great and the shop overall is well mantained. I am already planning my next trip back. It's a must try bakery.

The staff is incredibly friendly (English and Spanish speaking) and takes the time to find you your perfect cake. “I was visiting my son and, while we were out walking, we stopped for coffee. It was a wonderful experience, and the coffee was excellent—I had a latte with two shots of espresso. Before leaving, I asked if I could buy some beans to take home, and I’m so glad I did. Yesterday, I ground them and made a latte, and the first sip instantly took me back to Coronado. “I can't believe I've driven past this place numerous times without realizing it was there! A friend of mine stopped by and brought Spanish bread, which was the best I've ever tasted, hands down! She mentioned that everything at this bakery is good, so I decided to visit for the first time, and it did not disappoint.

It's located in a strip mall, and the shop itself is quite small with limited items on the shelves. This is actually a good sign, as it indicates that they sell out quickly and make everything fresh daily, unlike another bakery I used to frequent where items would sit for days.

During my visit, I ordered siomai, cheese balls, pandesal, ube bread, pork asado siopao, guinataan, and pancit, and everything was excellent! The baked items, except for the guinataan and pancit, were all bite-sized, which I love. The cheese balls had just the right amount of cream cheese—not too much and not too little. They were my favorite!

As for the pancit, it contained liver, which I enjoy, so it was perfect for me and tasted delicious. It wasn’t greasy at all. However, a family member of mine doesn't like liver, so I’m wondering if Salie can make the pancit without liver for those who aren’t fans. I’ll have to ask.

All I can say is that everything I bought here was fresh and delicious! I will definitely be coming back again and again. Plus, the lady at the register was so sweet!“

“No la recomendaria, esto me paso el 6 de enero, compre una rosca chica y no traia el bebito. Hable por telefono y la persona que me contesto muy mal modienta y todavia me dijo en forma de broma que tal vez ya nos lo habiamos comido y que si queria regresarla tenia que estar completa la rosca .....pos como, si le estaba diciendo que no traia el bebito ovio que tenia que partirla verdad. “Pan del barrio is my fave bread in San Diego! All naturally leavened so it is better for you too! The country loaf is always freshly baked and still warm when I get it. Amanda is so kind and sweet and makes every effort to make her customers happy! Every time I’m in San Diego I get some delish baked goods. And don’t get get me started on her chocolate croissant, the BEST! I’ve also had the bolillos and they are very good. My mom also loved them!
