“Absolutely the finest Soul Food. You don't want to skip this place. I had the lunch portion of the Oxtail and chose the Candied Yams and Mac and Cheese as sides. It came with 2 Cornbread Muffins. It was all delicious and filling. I ordered the Coconut Pineapple Cake for Dessert. It filled the container. See the picture. Totally Recommend this place.“

“We had a wonderful time. We kicked off my hubby's birthday with great food, wonderful vibes and incredible service!! My husband could not stop raving about the eggs! We literally came back for the biscuits. I hate that I don't remember our waitresses name because she was so sweet and attentive. She was also kind enough to bring us a complimentary round of champs and mimosas!! This is our second time coming in and the service is not only consistent, it keeps getting better!“

Just walking up to the restaurant is an experience in of itself with all the bright and vibrant colors coupled with great lighting and then the flavors starting hitting the nose to let you know you're in the right spot and the nose doesn't lie...it WAS the right spot. Ordered the Coconut Limeade which was STUPID GOOD, the Oxtail & Peppers Patty and the Honey Jerk Chicken comb which I subbed one side for the tostones and that was the best of presents I could've gave to myself because they were crazy delicious and also reminded me of an ex which twas a whole OTHER experience in of itself. Everything was seasoned well and each item complemented the other but and yes, buuut since we're in Hollywood, the starlet of this whole show, the chicken, wasn't all the way ready for the stage...the lower half had a mushy consistency while the upper thigh was just fine; it was strange and really bummed me out because it was close to a $50 takeout dinner and was almost 5 stars. Anywho, stuff happens but it took the motivation of me being a returning customer althoooough if I stare at the roti long enough, that could choice could very well change who knows. Stay up!“

“Such a cute little space with a great ethical commitment and excellent food! I brought my partner here to grab a quick lunch to go. We each got a banh mi (I got the lemongrass chicken, no mayo, and they got the pork) and a sparkling limeade. The person who took our order was super friendly and the food came out fast. We were both impressed by just how big the sandwiches were and how much protein was on them! And the limeade was incredible - just slightly sparkling with a hint of saltiness.“

My only complaint: We have been attending a convention at the LAX Marriott for 8 years now and one would hope that the leadership at the hotel would be well aware than their restaurants will be significantly impacted when there's now 3000+ people there for the weekend. The staff does their absolute best but at the end of the day, there aren't enough of them and the kitchen staff clearly struggles to get the meals plated up in a reasonable amount of time. So if you plan on eating at Social, plan on allowing more time than you think you need and for heaven sake be patient with your restaurant staff. They are doing their best.“

“My visit to the new gastropub in the neighborhood was a memorable one. From the moment I walked in, I could tell that the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. I ordered a Coca-Cola, which was served promptly with a healthy dose of ice, just the way I like it. But the real standout was the Fried Chicken Sandwich - it was cooked to perfection, with crispy skin and tender meat, and the flavors were out of this world. The servers were good and the owner was super friendly and helpful! We had prawns, fish, lamb, cauliflowers, and the infamous Hand of Fatima. “Cozy cafe inside the Delphi building. It is open to guests and visitors alike. I tried their Black Dalia which are 2 French toast with whipped butter and raspberries. It is very sweet and the French toast itself is very fluffy and soft. They gave me a seat 30 mins before they close which is nice. Great place for breakfast.“

The coolest part is the interactive screens at every table where you can play games and compete with other tables in the restaurant. “Recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. We had to stand outside and order our food at a window and pick it up at the side window. The person taking order was not very helpful with the menu and kind of rushed us but it was a line so I chucked it up to that. We ordered the meatloaf dinner with Mac and cheese and yams and my husband got collars and Mac and cheese along with sweet tea. I dont eat everyone's meatloaf but was craving it and I am soooo happy I did. It was some of the best meatloaf I have eaten. The yams were delicious as well and my fav side. They gave a lot of food and had leftovers for the following day and more. The tea was amazing as well but my husband did say it was mixed with lemonade so wasn't real tea but was delicious. Hidden gem and will make sure to visit again when in the area.“

After we had all our flowery-needs yesterday I asked my wife to Yelp "best breakfast in DTLA" and it popped up - the Poppy & Rose - and we were standing in front of it. I must say two things: I did not find the ambiance too appealing and they you could hear through the open door it was extremely loud. Still, we gave it a try - and I can tell you: it was delicious. Our server - one you would describe as the typical California surfer boy - was extremely charming - so despite the so-so ambiance (the vibe of this place was great though) and the noise we will definitely go again. Would we make a 30+ min detour just to eat here (mandatory in my rating scheme to achieve five out five): again, oh yes!“

They stop by in front of my work building every now and then so it was pretty convenient for me to check them out.The Chinook: 1/3 lb. American-Kobe beef burger with garlic aioli, cheddar, lettuce, and tomato on a fresh Brioche bun. The burger was nothing special - just average. It was cooked medium rare as requested and it was well seasoned.OG Wachos: With everything. What are Wachos you ask? Waffle Fries + Nacho Toppings = Wachos. Came with Avocado, Cheese, Onions, and much more. It was amazing. The waffle fries were crisp and flavorful and it went well with all the toppings. I wish there was some heat to it though!“

Saucy Greens makes delicious salads. This place is great for vegetarians, vegans, and omnivores. The sumac vinaigrette on the falafel salad is refreshing. There are no bad choices on the menu.“
