“Absolutely the finest Soul Food. You don't want to skip this place. I had the lunch portion of the Oxtail and chose the Candied Yams and Mac and Cheese as sides. It came with 2 Cornbread Muffins. It was all delicious and filling. I ordered the Coconut Pineapple Cake for Dessert. It filled the container. See the picture. Totally Recommend this place.“

“The servers were super warm and friendly, and the restaurant had an amazing vibe! I especially loved that almost every table has a clear view of the open kitchen, so you can chat while watching the chefs showcase their incredible skills!We ordered the Eggs Benedict, breakfast quesadilla, and a breakfast platter. “I just tried Bridgetown Roti for the first time. I can immediately say Mom's Curry Chicken Roti did not disappoint. It was packed with flavor and incredibly juicy inside, with a nicely grilled exterior. For me, their Pineapple Habanero Sauce made it complete. Giving it that extra spicy kick I wanted. The pineapple perfectly toned down the habanero so that it wasn't too hot. Just flavorful.

I also tried their Oxtail & Peppers Patty. Definitely good, but not as much of a standout as the roti.

Lastly, I tried their Macaroni & Cheese Pie. This was somewhat disappointing. If I had to guess, perhaps it's not a popular seller. Mine tasted like it had been reheated numerous times and definitely didn't taste fresh like the rest of the food.

“Hardly a wait before 1pm 5-10. The entrance of the place is where the parking lot is, not on the corner of 5th street were I entered from 😅 they are very quick at clearing tables to let in more guests for dine in.

Ordered the brisket and it was delicious. Light and flavorful. Like others have stated, add your green onions and salt pepper or chili to your liking. Their radish and kimchi banchan were fresh and flavorful, my favorite being the radish! The milky smooth bone broth tasted delicious. Not heavy at all and so comforting!“

The summer rolls are so refreshing in the heat and a large portion size. Their drinks are delicious too! I always grab a limeade or pennywort juice to complete the meal. After we had all our flowery-needs yesterday I asked my wife to Yelp "best breakfast in DTLA" and it popped up - the Poppy & Rose - and we were standing in front of it. I must say two things: I did not find the ambiance too appealing and they you could hear through the open door it was extremely loud. Still, we gave it a try - and I can tell you: it was delicious. Our server - one you would describe as the typical California surfer boy - was extremely charming - so despite the so-so ambiance (the vibe of this place was great though) and the noise we will definitely go again. Would we make a 30+ min detour just to eat here (mandatory in my rating scheme to achieve five out five): again, oh yes!“

“I love this place! I used to live nearby and i stumbled in right at opening time my first day. they have a wait if you're going at popular times. Small strip mall parking.

wow, i became a loyal fan of the cheonggukjang, which i never had before. The owner is kind, and it feels like we're being taken care of like I'm at their home.

i am not korean, and especially at that early time 10 years ago I was often the only non-korean... but when they saw me eating cheonggukjang not bbq, i got some nods of approval 🤣 One korean man came up to my table after i ate once and asked me how i know this soup because it's controversial with even koreans.

But i loveeee fermented foods. and honestly, anytime i was sick this soup made me better in a day. I miss living so close to it, i have to make special trips to go now.

“Social has very good quality food. There's options for everyone. Price point is quite high, as to be anticipated by hotel restaurants. My only complaint: We have been attending a convention at the LAX Marriott for 8 years now and one would hope that the leadership at the hotel would be well aware than their restaurants will be significantly impacted when there's now 3000+ people there for the weekend. The staff does their absolute best but at the end of the day, there aren't enough of them and the kitchen staff clearly struggles to get the meals plated up in a reasonable amount of time. So if you plan on eating at Social, plan on allowing more time than you think you need and for heaven sake be patient with your restaurant staff. They are doing their best.“

“It is your typical mom and pop's Korean soup joint. The atmosphere is like a cafeteria filled with photos of the past, simple and clean. It has a small menu, but the soup base is amazing. The beef broth has tremendous amount of flavor, clean, rich, the beef and tendons are succulent. The soup is not seasoned (salted) so you can taste the original beef flavor, and you can add the salt as you like it. The simple meal for two is about $50. It was a great find for us.“

Saucy Greens makes delicious salads. This place is great for vegetarians, vegans, and omnivores. The sumac vinaigrette on the falafel salad is refreshing. There are no bad choices on the menu.“
