“Love coming here! The staff for the most part is always friendly (ok 9 times out of 10, the staff is usually friendly). They make your sub how you tell them to make it. Oh and let me get started on the manager, I dont know his name but he is awesome! He knows how to treat his regular customers! It makes you feel good when you spend your hard earned cash in a place where they really appreciate your business!! If I could give this place 10 stars, I would!!! :)“

“Stopped in for a late lunch and witnessed the GM, Philip, handle an erratic and aggressive customer with calm and utmost professionalism. He apologized to us for the incident, although clearly he was not responsible for that person's rude behavior. We had delicious sandwiches and enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere. We WILL be back!“

“Probably the best deli in San Diego. My wife and I have gone here a few times and the sandwiches blow us away every time. The service is top notch. Mr.RayRay is a really nice guy and I've never seen somebody take so much pride in making sandwiches. Each sandwich he makes is a piece of culinary art. 10/10 recommend. Must try.“

“It is true that they have changed. And the last time I went in I walked out because the prices went up so much I thought it was ridiculous for a sandwich. . Almost $8 for a 6” sandwich.? “Walking in I can smell fresh bread, and the music is great classic songs definitely feel the vibe, employees are always kind and helpful. The restraunt is always clean when I go, from the grill to the counters to the tables. The iced tea is fresh and made with care. There always seems to be at least two employees there if not more. The freshly sliced meats and veggies hit the spot. I enjoy the #2 Jersey shore #13 Italian and #7 turkey. The Philly is great too. Thanks for keeping it a sub above. Stay classy and vibin.“

“Tonight (6/24/24) my mother came in to order some sandwiches for me, my husband and her, my husband can’t eat gluten so he always gets their gluten free bread when ordering, well my mom called and told me that when she asked for the GF bread the woman working started to clean off all the counters and equipment for about 15 minutes she said she scrubbed and cleaned it all including the slicer as to reduce the amount of cross contamination from the regular bread, even tho she had a small line she still took the time without being asked to do that, I wish I was there to thank her for that because no else ever at any location we have purchased from has taken the time to make sure his sandwich was ok to the best of their abilities to eat, it was extremely kind of her I don’t know her name but if that was you tonight THANK YOU! “I lived in Mission Beach yrs ago & in Old Mission was a Jersery Sub Shop & I have looked & looked all over S.D. for one that would be as good & I finally found Jersery Mikes. The first one I went to was in Merritta the other side of Temecula then when I came back to El Cajon I found the one on Broadway. haven't tried the one in Rancho S.D. yet ,I'm sure going to next time I'm over that way. So far they have been the closest to the one in Mission Beach. OK!“

“I went into the shop today, and i ordered the GIANT #7 sandwich. I haven't stepped into this shop, in over a year—due to business/traveling.

The group did a wonderful job making the sandwich. I couldn't complain, and they did exactly what I asked of them...No mayonnaise, substitute mustard!

There was plenty of seating available. I personally like to eat at the shop, so my food doesn't get soggy/cold/old, etc.

“Sadly one of the best places in Alpine to get food but man is it good. Stop here weekly to get a Giant to take up to Mount Laguna before a ride or hike and have a picnic with the family after. “We ordered multiple sandwiches for 2 nearby events. We stopped in to order the night before each. Dominique helped us, and was a delight! So personable and helpful. She wasn't there for the first days pick up. There were a couple glitches for that pick up, the order wasn't ready, they weren't picking up the phone, then gave us a ball of napkins out of the dispenser, verses a stack we could sit next to the sandwiches and no forks to use in the vegetables we ordered on the side. BUT we still came in to order 3x the amount for the 2nd days order, and Dominique fixed all that for the 2nd day pick up. Perfect!! She made everything easy.“

“Each time I come here they make me a sandwich that looks more extravagant than the promotional posters. The crazy thing is, i use online ordering and they don't use that opportunity to be skimpy about extra veggies. They just do it according to my order description. (Whereas a different location puts 1 extra spinach leaf when i ask for extra).
If you ever order from here around payday, do tip.

“I love this Subway location! I have met a lot of very cool staff, and the food is always delicious! I once was at this location, and my brother wanted a cookie but couldn't decide. He had the idea to let the staff decide which cookie he should get, and the worker was very friendly & said that he should get the double chocolate cookie. We conversed about which was the best cookie, and it was a very fun experience. Although they don't fill up the sandwiches as much as they used to, it still tastes as delicious!Overall, I love the food; There are many different varieties of choices to put in my sandwich. The service is very chill & does exactly what I want to put in my meal. The atmosphere is very plain, but something about it matches up perfectly. Overall, I love this specific Subway location! “It’s 10:15 am, signs say they open at 10:00 am. Staff can be seen inside but doors are locked. No one comes out or says anything even though we are trying to open the locked door . have seen three other parties arrive try the door. Wave at the employee . try the door again and then leave because the staff is behind the counter and does not acknowledge us. What gives

“I placed an order online for delivery and I had order a Dr Pepper when my food came they wrote a note saying sorry we didn’t have coke so they gave me a free cookie and more steak on my sandwich , I really appreciate that, there are some good people in this world.
