“My service club was trying out different restaurants in Diamond and June's spot is Solo Hot Pot. We came at a good time for dinner and was able to fit our group in two tables pushed together.

Each person orders their own thing, picking their ingredients and broth. They weigh your bowl of stuff (veggies, meat, seafood, noodles, etc) and it's $15.99 per pound. If you don't pace yourself, it's very easy to end up with an expensive bowl of hot pot. Mines ended up weighting a little over 1.5 lbs, so my hot pot was over $25 before taxes. Some broths also have an additional charge (like the tonkotsu is $4.95 extra), so keep that in mind. I picked the organic miso broth, which had no extra charge. My hot pot was pretty yummy since I got to choose exactly what I wanted in it and even though I ordered a little too much, I enjoyed it the next day for lunch.

The sauce bar is included and they offer iced green tea with refills for $1.99 more. If you need a refill of the iced tea, you can let them know and they'll refill your cup. Very refreshing!

Even though we paid separately, they do charge 18% big party service charge for groups of 5 or more.

“Mhat Korean Restaurant may be a small spot, but it delivers authentic Korean flavors and a really satisfying meal.

We ordered the Dak Galbi (Stir-fried Spicy Chicken) with a side of mozzarella cheese, along with an order of fried dumplings. The dak galbi was packed with flavor, and we appreciated being able to adjust the spice level to something a little milder. Adding the mozzarella was definitely the right call, it melted into the spicy chicken, making the dish even richer and creamier while balancing the heat beautifully. The fried dumplings were crispy, flavorful, and made a great side.

The best part of the meal was saving room for the fried rice at the end. They cooked it right in the leftover dak galbi sauce, soaking up all of the rich, spicy flavors. It’s definitely the way to finish the meal and something I highly recommend ordering.

The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but the food is authentic, the portions are satisfying, and everything came together for a great dining experience. If you’re craving dak galbi, this place is well worth checking out.“

I ordered bulnakji porridge today and instead of using ground beef or cheap meat, they used a good quality meat and then they sautéed the marinated bulgogi in butter. mmm. Chives/buchu they used were fresh and green. So was the octopus. Often times you taste the fishiness but this octopus or nakji had a very clean flavor. “Han Yang is good. It’s also wonderfully old school. Nothing about the place feels particularly interested in being redesigned for Instagram, which I appreciate. You come here for Korean comfort food, metal dishes of banchan, enormous bowls of soup and stone pots hot enough to continue cooking your dinner while you eat it. And that stone pot is where I’d start.

The gondre dolsot bibimbap was fantastic. Gondre is Korean thistle and here it gets worked through the rice with the egg, seaweed and everything else until the whole thing becomes earthy, savory and deeply satisfying. But the best part comes underneath. Leave it alone long enough and the rice against the stone develops that beautiful scorched crust, nurungji, which you eventually scrape loose and mix back through everything.

That combination of the greens, sesame, egg and crispy rice is ridiculously good. There are dishes you finish because you’re hungry and dishes where you keep digging around the bottom of the bowl because you’re convinced there must be another good piece hiding somewhere. This was the latter.

The galbitang was more complicated for me. The beef itself was excellent. Generous pieces, tender, falling easily from the bone and soft enough that our kids loved it. Plenty of green onion, too. My issue was the broth. I prefer galbitang on the restrained side so I can decide where it goes from there. Same reason I like seolleongtang arriving almost defiantly plain, give me the broth and let me dress it up myself with salt, saeujeot or whatever else I want.

Han Yang has already made those decisions for you. The galbitang broth was noticeably sweet and salty and eventually it became a little much for me. That’s preference as much as criticism, plenty of people will probably love it exactly as it arrives. I just wanted the volume turned down.

The banchan was similarly mixed but mostly good. The napa kimchi was solid and nicely balanced. The kkakdugi was particularly good. The mustard greens, however, were ferociously sour. I like fermented food. These had me physically wincing.

The dipping sauce for the galbi was excellent, though and I kept going back to it. Rice was average and a little dry. It did its job.

Service was good and the whole experience was easy. The room itself has some age on it, tables are fairly close together and depending on where you’re seated you may find yourself with a commanding view of the bathroom door. Nobody has ever requested the chef’s table at the restroom, but here we are.

Somehow I don’t particularly mind any of it. Han Yang feels like a restaurant that knows what it is. It isn’t polished into anonymity. People are here eating giant bowls of soup, mixing rice in scorching stone pots and getting on with their lives. And when a restaurant can put something as good as that gondre bibimbap in front of me, I can forgive a dry bowl of rice and a bathroom with excellent sightlines.

Absolutely coming back. And next time, I’m getting that bibimbap again.“

“Hidden gem closed to home. Rare to find great tasting pho closed to home and big in portion.

Throughout the years many pho places give very little and tiny portions, but Tasty Pho reminds me of the good size pho bowls one used to get back in the day. Their prices are also very reasonable. Their stuff attentive to your needs.

The broken rice is very complete with the egg quiche, shrimp paste and radish carrot salad for a very good price. No need to go to Little Saigon anymore to eat great Vietnamese food“

“When I first arrived to this restaurant, I didn’t see any other diners and was quite hesitant. But soon enough they proved my ‘pre-thoughts’ wrong.
Definitely one of the best Vietnamese home cooked meals at a restaurant in the area. The flavour is so authentic that can transport you back to the Southern of Vietnam (mien Tay) in a bite. We ordered the lunch set for family and cannot fault a thing. It came with canh chua, ca chien, goi tom thit, ca kho, bap cai chua. Flavour was mouth watering and all very good value for money. I recommend you use your navigation to find it because you'll drive right by it because it's in a small strip mall. Off the corner of Jersey and rosecrans. The restaurant is on the small side and I'm sure they get crowded with the dinner rush. I went for the lunch special served Monday to Saturday from 11am to 3 pm. I chose the Kung Pao Chicken, that comes with the daily soup,egg roll,fried rice and a fortune cookie which is alot for $11.95. They chop up their red pepper into pieces, so it has a kick ! The portions were large enough to make two meals which is a plus. Definitely will be back to try other options on the menu. Especially the hot soups which look amazing. They are closed on Tuesday ,so I had to wait an extra day. A thumbs up to whomever designed their menu, easy to decide what to order and prices displayed clearly 😀.“

“Today was my 3rd time back. I have tried something new off their menu each visit. First visit was General Tso’s (my favorite), 2nd visit was Chicken Chow mein, today is Spicy Orange Chicken (move over General Tso’s, you’ve been replaced!). The staff is always friendly and helpful, the food is really good. When their menu says “spicy”, they mean a nice little kick and not a flamethrower!! I always order to go, 10 minutes and I am out the door. Portions are big (mine always makes 2 meals). I found my new favorite place 😁“

Its located on Magnolia near La Palma Ave same center as Popeyes.

Its a mom and pop operation and the food seems home cooked.

The Manager , Nishith , deserves a huge thank you for always getting us seated , served and taken care of before promptly . As a business owner I see the value of what he does for the Olive Garden company as he makes each of our visits enjoyable . The rest of the team here at the Stanton OG are also top notch.. There is another restaurant we used to go to for our staff luncheon / meeting but this is our go to place . This review is long overdue .

“I love this place! Its low-key, it's clean and the lady that opens is just absolutely amazing! Been here a few times already. My goto is The Mul Naengmyun (Korean cold noodle with icey beef broth) . Absolutely delicious! The banchan varieties are tasty and they always as k to refill you up.. All the soups (hot) are very flavorful, hearty, and tasty!!!!!! Highly recommend.
