“My 15 year old daughter said it was the yummiest sugar donut she had ever had. The dough is so soft and delicious. Also, the gal at the counter was very nice and patient with us while we were making our choices. I highly recommend this donut shop!“

“My husband and I love coming here! One of our favorite places to go! The owners are amazingly sweet, very welcoming and always have great customer service!🥰 I recommend anything you get here will be delicious!😋 They have some speciality drinks from Lemon Tea which is my favorite, Green lemon tea, Thai tea, Vietnamese coffee, cold brew and plenty of shake drinks to choose from! Their bacon croissant is super tasty 🤤 but anything you get you won't regret! 😉
Not to mention all the different flavors for donuts 🍩 So stop by and enjoy!“

“Truly the best donuts and baked goods in San Diego. Located in an unassuming strip mall near a laundromat, possibly owned by the same owners.
I find that most donut shops in the city use a similar recipe for their dough, but something about Golden Donut’s recipe for its dough is different - a little bit sour with a peppery taste.
The thing that originally led me to GD was the fact that, oddly, they served iced Vietnamese coffee which I had been looking for in San Diego. However, they don’t have many other beverage choices apart from Thai iced teas.
There are some interesting flavors that have popped up, like a banana turnover and matcha donuts. Would love to see more of these unique items on the menu.
Vegetarian options: Almost everything is vegetarian but the maple bacon donuts
Parking: Parking can be challenging as it shares the parking lot with multiple businesses. Constant traffic in and out. Parking on the street but might have to walk.
Wheelchair accessibility: As far as I can tell, not step to enter the shop and is flat inside“

“Called ahead on a busy Thursday morning for a mixed dozen box of donuts, $19, and was ready when I picked it up - great service and very efficient, the nice woman at the counter even gave some extra donuts, she must’ve been able to tell we had a busy day at work ahead! Plenty of parking and other breakfast and coffee options as well“

“Freshly made (but very expensive) donuts in a cute strip mall in Del Mar. The donuts were delicious and unusual. They had limited selection (maybe 15 types) and limited inventory (but it was 2pm). I got a glazed salted, huckleberry, chocolate pistachio and regular glazed. I spent about $22.“

“I know it’s a chain but it feels like a welcoming little local spot. Prices are very reasonable which I feel is so rare these days, service is good and all the employees are friendly. We love coming here for bacon/sausage, egg, and cheese bagels/croissants and a few donuts.“

“The lady working here is so friendly and kind. She found a candle for me to stick into a donut to celebrate my birthday 🎂 and even took our photo. She was happy to talk to us about the shop and its history. I love places like this and will stop by whenever I'm in the neighborhood. The apple and spice donut is incredible. Not overly sweet and filled with apples like a pie. I ended up buying 2 more after trying one. Absolute perfection. Thank you so much 🙏🏽“

“No better way to celebrate a birthday than a custom birthday "cake." 60 mini donuts arranged in a "3" for our donut-loving boy's special day. These are fresh, delicious, not too sweet and the perfect size for preschoolers (or adults who want "just a bite"). Ordered online Sunday afternoon for Monday morning pick-up and the whole process was seamless. Birthdays for our family will never be the same.“

“By far the best donuts you will ever eat. Fresh, cooked perfectly and run by a local family. I suggest trying the maple bacon if you love bacon, sweet and salty.
Kid-friendliness: Kids will love the different types of donuts.“

“The Golden Donut makes some pretty good doughnuts. In fact, I has their cinnamon and sugar cronut. Yes, cronut, people are still making them. It was a very good cronut and came with those great croissant buttery layers and that softness of a great doughnut.
Although most patrons bought their doughnuts to go, the shop does offer inside and outside seating, which I took advantage of to enjoy my purchase. The service at the counter was very nice and welcoming.
The shop carries the standard doughnuts and specialty ones for kids as well.“

“This little hole in the wall is a hidden gem. 2 days into my San Diego trip and I’m addicted to Linda’s donuts. Don’t let the location fool you. Best donuts ever. Also the coffee is good and they have plain black breakfast tea which is a must for my wife. If you’re in the San Diego area and you like donuts definitely put this place on your list. So far I’ve had the sugar and the glazed. Both excellent. So much for eating healthy this trip. LOL.“

“This was my first time going to dark horse coffee roasters. We had just grabbed lunch nearby and I decided to get a coffee for the drive back to San Diego.
There was no wait. This particular location is pretty small inside so after you order they make you go outside and wait for the finished product. The service was fast and friendly and we were on our way before we knew it. I enjoyed the experience.“
