“This place is SO GOOD. I kept insisting we needed to go to La Jolla Village for our final night of dining before leaving on a flight back to NYC. My husband found this spot and am I so glad we decided to just pop over and head to the village later. This food was outstanding. We ended up ordering every ceviche available on the menu. The fish taco was one of the freshest / crispiest we’ve ever had. My husband loved his soft shell crab taco. It was a Tuesday night, so quieter save for another family and a couple of locals. Things that were said over dinner: “if we lived here, I would come here every week and sit at the counter and just order from the raw menu.” “Omg. That might be the best fish taco I’ve ever had.” My 7 year old (sometimes picky) housed 2 fish tacos (we just made sure to say no sour cream).

Basically, don’t sleep on this place. If you’re local to La Jolla, I’m jealous that you can go here whenever you want.“

In the middle of a long trip to California’s coast, all the way from our home in Colorado, our group found ourselves in Raymundo’s colorful and welcoming restaurant. The food left our bellies and our hearts full. The tortas were “gas” the salsa was “hella good” and the drinks refreshed us after a morning in the sun. The food was made well, with care and love you could taste in every bite. Raymundo himself was even kind enough to take a photo with us all. In a world pushing us towards faceless fast food mega chains, local businesses like this one keep our world as vibrant as the walls in this lovely place.“

“I am so glad this place is here! It's perfect for grabbing some good food to bring back to the beach. It's very casual and reasonably priced. We had a big group so we ordered several different things and they were all great and big portions. The guy working the counter and cooking was extremely friendly and fun. Again, so glad this place is where it is!“

“This place was full of flavor and affordable. I was only in town a short time and went two times because of how delicious it was. I tried the fish tacos which were amazing and the habanero salsa yum! Also the chili relleno burrito and a regular bean and cheese burrito. The beans are hands down great. For dessert I had the churros and yum yum yum soooo good and fried perfectly. I will definitely be back if I go back to that side of town. Do not pass this one up. Sooooooo good 🙂“

“I had 3 tacos and they were all very good. Not sure why 2 were hard shelled & the 3rd was soft shelled. Beef & chicken were hard & carnitas was made with the soft tortillas. All good, but next time I'll ask for soft tortillas..The person working the counter was super nice.“
