“Well, it's Jack in the box, what can you say? I don't usually go to check on the box but there is one thing I will keep going back for when I'm around one and that is the tacos. They used to be 99 cents for two, now they are at $1.79 for two but that's really not bad of an increase considering how everything else has gone up so much in the past couple of years. They are definitely a guilty pleasure and I've never experienced any gastronomic problems from eating them.“

“Delicious! All the meats are flavorful and not dry at all, the homemade tortillas are so good, rice and beans are great plus Tomas brings all the fixings and plates, napkins and plasticware. We just used Taquizas Tomas to cater our son’s birthday party and all our guests were super happy and well fed plus we had leftovers to enjoy after the party. It also made our lives so much easier not having to worry about prepping any food. Tomas is great to work with and we definitely recommend them!“

“Hidden gem of a taco shop!! They use fresh tortillas for their tacos and burritos and let me tell you, it really sets them apart from your usual SD taco spot. The food is fresh and doesn’t have that old-reheated taste that some others do.

“This place was a pleasant surprise! My boyfriend and I ordered the combo meal with 3 tacos, fries and a drink. The tacos were so flavorful and delicious. He got 1 steak, 1 chicken, and 1 shrimp and was very satisfied. We even contemplated going again that night but we missed their closing time by 30 minutes. The only not so good thing were the fries but overall 10/10 highly recommend.“

“I missed my trolley stop so I jumped off and see this taco shop across the tracks. The owner was very friendly. He said you missed your stop to come try my food. I "Why not?" and order 3 mini tacos - cabeza, adobado, carnitas. Each one was so tasty. The tortillas were fresh and perfectly chewy. The salsas nicely spicy. And I got a grilled jalapeño. Love those. I'm going to miss my stop every Monday from now on!“

“Have tried two other Taco Stand locations and now came to give this one a try.

I think this location was a little bit of hit or miss depending on the day and the menu item.

We got some tacos delivered home and sister-in-law, friend as well as husband loved everything they got! Sister-In-Law and friend were visiting from out of town and they really liked the food here so much that they wanted to get it again before leaving from their visit.
They really seemed to like Pollo(chicken) and Shrimp tacos.
One thing to note is that when you order delivery on doordash they end up charging for adding the sauces which is not the case. When you put a pickup order from the store directly because you can just take as many sauces as you would like.

Husband and I also brought another friend here who was visiting from Canada and she was totally surprised by the quality of the tacos here! The pork taco must have been her favorite and I think it was the combination of the pork and pineapple in there!

I really loved the Shrimp Taco! This was my first time trying the shrimp taco and I think the combination of everything went really well. I was not expecting that cheese to be put on the tortilla so next time I think I would ask them to skip that to make it a little healthier. There was quite an amount of oil in the shrimp though, so I think that's another thing that I would like to change but otherwise overall flavor profile was lovely.

I usually love the fish taco from the other locations, but this one was subpar. It was actually quite a big thick fillet of fish so a lot of the bites felt like eating a big chunk of fish and not enough sauce or flavoring and tortilla to go with. Definitely appreciate the large portion size of the fish in there, but I think it ended up being too much fish for that one particular taco. Husband also have the same experience so it must have just been this particular day that the pieces of fish were very big. Definitely need to give it another try!“

“My wife gets the huaraches and I come for the tacos. Been eating their tacos since before they had a truck, the meat smells so good I just had to try them. The tortillas are nice and soft and they add all the fixins like onions and cilantro, lime with several salsas to choose from. I get the cabeza, birria and asada tacos. Bomb! “Best taco shop in lakeside and Santee! I have gotten the California burrito and machaca plate the most there. If you go to their website you can order online for pick up which is super convenient (no drive through).
I give the atmosphere a 3 star because there are a lot of homeless in this shopping center and it just looks very old.“

“I needed a good meal to fill me up. I ordered a breakfast burrito. It was big and filling. The wait was not long. The burrito was hot and delicious with green salsa. I will definitely be back. I recommend them. I stopped here before going down the street to CRT Plasma to donate plasma and make some money. You should go there too. Tell them I referred you I recommend both these places. “I stop here every time I’m in this side of my neighborhood. Take the 15 freeway and Exit El Cajon Blvd, go East a few blocks but don’t pass Menlo Ave. Look for Fish and Birria signs waving. They have the whole parking lot just drive in! I usually have two or three Fish tacos (w/o crema) and a pop then they usually know when I’m done because my to-go order is hot and ready!! My grandson is very picky but he looks forward to their Carne Asada Quesa taco’s. I’ve tried a lot off their menu and have never been disappointed, ever. They also GIVE you a “Consommé” which is actually a small portion of their seafood soup not just the fluid, I’ve had whole shrimp in mine many times and small pieces of fish. They’re not stingy with their variety of hot salsas/chili pods and garnishes (limes, cilantro, onions and pickled onions. Lots of ice cold canned and bottled drinks to choose from. This is my only food truck I trust 100% and love their quality of cooking. You’ll agree too once you try them out!“
