Here’s what I tried:

Osmantheous Oolong Milk Tea with Boba (less sugar, less ice): This was fantastic! The tea-forward flavor was exactly how I like my milk tea, and the boba had just the right texture—not too chewy and not overly sweet. I’d definitely order this again.

Strawberry Oolong Tea (less sugar, less ice): A little on the sweeter side for my taste, but still a great deal at just $2.99.

To my surprise, they were running a buy-two-get-one-free special during Christmas week! The third drink that was part of the promotion was an Iced Strawberry Matcha, which was quite sweet but still a nice addition to the experience.

“Very cute shop with pleasant ambiance and a lot of seating. The staff was super helpful going over the menu items. A highlight for me was the mini taiyaki filled with vanilla cream (served piping hot). The boba pearls were fresh and chewy too.“

They have some cute t-shirts and bags and claw machines which is fun and a sweet little photo op but this looks like a nice place to hang out for a bit with your matcha and get some work done. “Really liked this place overall. Tried their new Chinese‑style milk tea and one of the camellia tea drinks, both pretty solid. Tea flavor is strong but the finish is really clear, not that sugary mess, which I appreciate. The camellia one has this gentle floral thing going on that hangs around a bit after you sip. Staff were friendly in a low‑key way, helped me pick without pushing anything, tbh that matters. Atmosphere felt calm, soft background noise, easy to sit with my phone for a while and just zone out. Prices felt okay for what you get, works for me.“

“Love all the bopomofo cafes, I have to go every time I visit SoCal and every friend / family member Ive brought loves it, they use the freshest ingredients and have cool seasonal items like a scallion pancake wrapped chicken supreme wrap, guava matcha. You cant go wrong with the pineapple chicken sandwich, the strawberry corn drink, the shrimp walnut sandwich, etc. I love this place so much, the chicken is always very juicy. Was in the area and wanted some hot tea. Unfortunately, most in the area close early. They are one of the few that are open late.
There's plenty of free self parking.
The cafe is clean and has a few indoor tables and plenty of seating.
The staff is super friendly and helpful in selecting a drink from their large menus.
You can customize the tea.

“Stopped by a small boba spot in La Puente and it turned out to be a hidden gem. The drinks were fresh, not overly sweet, and the boba had that perfect chewy texture—exactly how it should be.

Parking: Free parking lot. There’s a medium sized parking lot, so finding an open spot is easy.

Ambiance/Environment: They have a small space with a couple tables and chairs. Seating is very limited. There’s cute wall decor and backgrounds for photos.

Service: We placed our orders at the kiosk. Throughput was quick & efficient after ordering. The two workers we encountered were courteous.

Drinks: I got the Matcha Brûlée, and my friend got the House Coffee with sea salt foam. The matcha brûlée came with brown sugar boba. I couldn’t taste the matcha bc the brown sugar was very overpowering. The boba texture was good. The brûlée swirls were very faint. Overall, the flavors could use some improvements. The house coffee was thick and creamy. The sea salt foam was okay; could be thicker with a bit more salt.

Pricing: Average prices for boba drinks nowadays. I’d visit again bc their milk teas are good, but I wouldn’t get the Matcha Brûlée again.“

“This is an unassuming shop from the outside, but it really surprised me. There's a good ammount of seating, having both an inside and outside that are both pleasant. We ordered the strawberry slush with boba, large shaved ice, and churros. The churros were filled with a delicious custard. All dishes had super cute presentation and attention to detail. As an example, the Lychee jellies inside slushy were star shaped. Would love to come again and highly reccomend!!“

“I have been trying various milk tea places in the area to find a place that would cater milk tea for my upcoming wedding. My wife could not have the wedding without having milk tea served to the guests. My wife and I tried the champ milk tea here and decided that this place was the one. Their portions are much larger than other shops, and the tea flavor is pronounced and not covered by sugar/milk. The manager, Ryan, was super helpful in preparing our bulk order for the wedding, and it was a major hit during our wedding. “We recently ordered two boba drinks from Bobuzz, including their signature “PMC” with boba and “The Dark White.” While the overall flavor of the drinks was comparable to other quality boba shops, the tapioca pearls (“boba”) were unfortunately undercooked, which detracted from the experience. Additionally, offering customers the option to customize the sweetness level would be a welcome improvement. While there is potential, the overall experience left us with mixed feelings. Personally, it wouldn’t be my first choice for a dessert stop after a pleasant meal, at least not for now.“
