We had a great experience at this BBQ restaurant! The food was delicious, fresh, and cooked perfectly. What really made our visit special was our waiter, Chae. He was so nice, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire meal. He made sure we had everything we needed, checked on us regularly, and created a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel very comfortable. His excellent service truly stood out and made our dining experience even more enjoyable.

The only small disadvantage was that some desserts were not available during our visit, especially the matcha crepe cake and chocolate crepe cake, which we were looking forward to trying.

Overall, it was still a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this place, and if you get Chae as your waiter, you’re in great hands! 🔥🍖😊“

“I recently tried Chubby Skewers and overall had a pretty good experience. They have a great selection of meats, and at $1.20 per skewer, it’s easy to try a variety without spending too much.

That said, some of the meats were a bit on the tougher side, which took away from the experience a little. But not everything was a miss, the grilled oysters and scallops were definitely highlights and tasted really good.

I also liked that you can order from the menu if you want something more than skewers. Overall, it’s a solid spot if you’re looking for variety at a reasonable price, with a few standout items worth coming back for.“

“I had the best birthday dinner at Lalc! I had the Giant Sandwich loaded with Andouille sausage, brisket and pulled pork over slaw on a Ciabatta roll! It was soooo big I could only eat half! The Brussels spouts were amazing and the 5 cheese Mac and Cheese was the best we have ever had! 5 Star!!!! I must try!!!“

“Had the best food at Smoke Queen Barbecue: the tri tip, chicken, sausage, ribs, and delicious sides were all fall off the bone fantastic. Try the sesame slaw with spicy cucumbers, macaroni and cheese and fries. We loved the banana pudding, bread pudding, beers on tap, all with a great smile and playground to enjoy with our family. If you haven’t tried Smoke Queen Barbecue, you are missing out. So scrumptious!“

“I finally tried Oniku in Garden Grove after hearing about it, and honestly it was better than I expected.

I like that you don’t have to choose between BBQ or hot pot , you can do both at the same table, which is nice when going with family or friends.

They have a few options:

Premium BBQ AYCE $46.95
Premium BBQ + Shabu AYCE $53.95

My family went with the $53.95 one so we could try everything, and it felt worth it.

The meat was pretty good for AYCE beef was nicely marbled, short ribs were tender, and the beef tongue was thin and easy to cook. Seafood was fresh too, I liked the shrimp and scallops.

There’s a self serve area with veggies and sides, so you have more to choose from. Service was quick, and the robot bringing food out was kind of interesting.

Parking was easy, plenty of space when we went.

Overall, good food, fair price, and a chill spot to go with a group. I’d come back.“

“RIBBRO LB is a favorite of my partner’s & I. We had been looking for a local bbq place for sometime and we came across this gem. We’ve had our monthly date night dinners since December 2025 and have no regrets about it.
The BBQ salad is delicious with any of their protein selections. The Classic BBQ sandwich is top notch as well. I’m in love with their coleslaw. Their Pitt-Boss Rice Bowl is heavenly as well. The staff service is so fantastic as well. Needless to say we enjoy coming in once a month.“

“We came here 2 days back to back and was definitely not disappointed the first day we just wanted to try the place out and ordered the pork belly sliders and a brisket Mac n cheese. Both were amazing but… the next morning we came to get brunch and ordered the chili verde breakfast burrito along with the tri tip breakfast bowl and I must say that had to be the best breakfast burrito I have ever had! “This used to be my go to kbbq, but in all honesty they fell off a little. Maybe I'm comparing it to my new spot too much but in my opinion they've lessened on quality and service. The waitress takes my order but doesn't write it down and i end up not getting what I ordered. They kept changing the grill and not turning the heat up enough so everything took ages to cook and when it finally heated up they came and changed the grill again. The quality of the bulgogi beef has gone down in my opinion. That being said everything else was delicious. The brief biscuit was really good, when it finally arrives. Only know it's still highly recommend this place but I would suggest they write down the orders and hire a couple more waitresses. Also waaaay too loud. Turn down the loop slightly“

“Had the brisket, Mac, and cornbreads. Love the chopped brisket. A little too fatty for my taste, but provided good flavor to the meat. BBQ sauce was very good - not too salty or sweet. Mac was good, with a little peppery kick to it. Both cornbreads were very good - the blueberry would be my choice over the honey. Overall, will definitely come back to try Lou’s other meats.“

“Today I went to rodeo 39 in Garden Grove with some friends and I stumbled across Kra Z Kai's. It was my second time trying Laos barbecue. This place is a hidden gem for sure. Everything was the delicious. The ribs were marinated for 24 hours. The barbecue pork and the chicken were all marinated in the same sauce. The owner told me the service was fast and this whole ambience was nice some of the best food I've had in a long time next time I'm going to Garden Grove. I will come here again.“

“I was staying in a hotel nearby and saw this restaurant on google maps so I wasn’t sure how it would be. But honestly, this place was really excellent. One of the better Korean BBQ experiences I’ve had. All of the food was very fresh and tasty. They gave us a huge variety of dishes and I ate until I was very full, but I still felt great afterwards. “Unfortunately, I can never try this place because I don’t live locally and I always try to call them to find out even if there’s any parking because when I go on Google Earth, it’s impossible to see the restaurant and not sure where to park also, I want to make sure that they’re open because sometimes businesses say they are and then they are closed for whatever reason I’m trying to call them day after day, but there are no phone numbers. It’s not a very smart business move because I feel like they are probably losing many business like people like myself. I wanna try it.“

I got the bulgogi and it was perfect. Juicy, just the perfect amount of sweetness. A generous proportion and well balanced with the egg, veggies etc.. a perfect medley and entirely satisfying.“

“Came here for dinner time during Christmas week with my family. We were a group of 10 and we came right at peak dinner time, which honestly sounds like a terrible idea but thankfully they were able to sit us within 40 minutes. We were sat at two tables and had a burner each. The service was great, especially with how busy they were that night. The KBBQ was super yummy and I especially loved the steamed egg, I ordered two total. The house salad was so so good- I wish someone would tell me the recipe (pls) because I ate the whole bowl. The meat came out at a decent time and I enjoyed sides. They also offered buldak ramen, which my younger cousins enjoyed- so I’m sure other parents or family members may wonder what else kids may enjoy here. I will definitely be back!“

“I was driving down Whittier Boulevard. On the corner of Whittier Blvd and Rancho drive. I smelled some barbecue it caught my attention quick like. Luckily I hadn't had dinner yet so I stopped and got a $20 plate. It was stacked with meat. It had tri-tip, chicken, and ribs. Smoked to perfection. The plate included a side of Mac and Beans. I also had two tacos. All the meats are full of flavor, tender and juicy. If you're in the area and you enjoy barbecue I highly recommend this spot.“

It’s a cosy hole in the wall place which you know that means it’s good. Staff are very friendly and attentive, explaining the menu and how this roll. “We were recently passing through Pasadena and boy, did Yelp come through for us when picking a place to eat! Craft by Smoke & Fire in Old Town Pasadena ended up being the perfect choice. It was a beautiful evening and we opted to sit outside. We were lucky enough to have Stephanie as our server…and also lucky to be there during happy hour – you gotta love a 2 for 1 drink special! It was hard to choose between all the craft cocktails, but we ended up ordering Lulu Lemons which were excellent! I play mixologist when entertaining at home, and when I expressed interest in recreating this drink for our friends, Stephanie was kind enough to share the recipe! The menu is full of yummy Texas-style BBQ options made from locally sourced meat, and it was hard to choose. We landed on brisket grilled cheese with a side of mac & cheese (can you have too much cheese?!) and a harvest brisket salad. Both were so delicious. The outside table area was pretty full and although she was covering a lot of tables, Stephanie was knowledgeable when guiding us through the menu, super attentive and personable to boot! “This our first time here. We came at almost closing ( 840pm) but the employee was really nice to accomodate and still help us with the food. We ordered a combo 2 for $29 ( only online) n got it to go since they almost close. The food came out hot and portion is generous, they gave a lot of meat and sides r delish. For a bbq chain this is really good quality. Fries r crispy n well seasoned, mac cheese was good, bbq sauce was delishhh. The toast was soft but crunchy at the same time, very buttery. The meat is so juicy and tender and soft fall off the bone type. I couldnt finish my plate in 1 go n i was pretty hungry! Definitely will be back again :) 9/10“

“I've tried just about everything on the menu at Shady Grove Foods and nothing disappoints. I can close my eyes and put my finger on the menu and I would be happy wherever it landed. I had Sticky Bones again tonight and I'm as thrilled as the first time I tried them and all the other times I've had them and in fact I feel like tonight's were the best ever. I seriously enjoy their food and hospitality. The hardest part is driving back to Cal Heights without opening the box and start eating.
