“Vegetarian food never tastes so good. Omg, I’m in love with all the food there. Server was very nice. The place is very spacious. Plenty of parking too. Highly recommended! Oh I also love the spicy sauce and sautéed onion they have on the side.“
“I love this place. I've been going since I was a little kid (that was 20+ years ago). The staff and service is always so friendly and attentive. I love their Bún Chả Giò Chay. It's my regular order! They have a solid selection of Vegan Vietnamese food and very affordable prices. If you're looking for real Vietnamese Vegan food, this is the spot!“
“My only suggestion is update the drinks, they are not good the sake piña colada was not good and I tried my bf lemonade and wasn’t good in opinion and I saw in the back you guys use the powdered country time lemonade. Ewww I don’t want to waste 3-6 bucks on nasty drinks, I will drink water next time. The seating could be better to more cozy less like I’m in science class“
“A gem of a place!!! Thai food here is delicious!! The atmosphere is clean, cozy, and airy. Service is detail oriented, polite, and organized. It can get busy around dinner time. Expect a wait of 30++ minutes. To me, food was well worth it.Papaya salad was perfectly seasoned and tasted fresh. Tom yum soup hot hit the spot ?. Pan friend clear noodles were loaded w veggies. This will be in my repeat restaurant list for sure!“
“Yes, the stand is inside a market. But don't let that put you off --the pad thai is spot on. So are the curries and fried rice. I recommend ordering the dishes with shrimp as they use only good size and good quality shrimp. What motivated me to write this review, however, is the friendly staff. They remember you and are customer service oriented.“
“If you haven’t been here before the setup might be confusing. You should head all the way to the back, go to the cashier, tell him the number of people, get a table number from him, and then get a bowl and start putting stuff you want in the bowl. The bowl is weighed and charged by the pound, but you don’t pay until you’re done eating. Then you hand the bowls to the cashier to order what type of soup you want. They hand you order numbers and you go to your table and just wait for them to bring you food. You can also make sauces at the sauce station. When you’re finished, bring your bowls back to the front and pay. Also note that you get one tong for picking up all the foods, so if cross contamination is a concern or you have food allergies, this might not be the best place to go.The lady in the front was not helpful and just shouted Chinese at us and acted like we were in her way for not knowing the rules. Some of the customers tried to help us too, but they should really just post the rules outside the store or in front of the front door to help newcomers. I think if you look East Asian, they will assume you speak Mandarin, so you should mention that you don’t speak it to clear the air. The rest of service was fine and nice, just the initial confusion didn’t feel very good.“
“Love Thai and the drunken noodles are my favorite specially spicy with shrimpAnd #4 season wow I drove from lemoore that’s 4 hours away this place is worthy of it and it has a tv where u can watch family feud and eat at the same timeWheelchair accessibility: It has handicap parking and wheelchair accessible I’m disabled I have a prosthetic leg and the walk from parking to front door is not far at all“
“After having some ok Beef Noodle Soup in Lomita, I had to come to No 1 Noodle House to do it justice. I ordered Beef & Tendon Noodle Soup with an extra side of pickled cabbage. It is so tasty. Spice is nice. Everytime I come here it just hits the spot.“
“I enjoyed all the food I ordered. Scallion pancakes, pork bun, braised beef soup with thin and thick noodles, and the best fried rice ever. I would definitely order from here again. Too bad I didn't take any pictures of my food as I gobbled it all up. One thing to note is that, and I believe, there are 4 types of noodle options, thick, thin, flat, and wide!Parking: Shares a small lot with the rest of the plaza“
“Forget the fancy toppings and gimmicks. This restaurant delivers on what truly matters: incredible Tonkotsu ramen. Their streamlined menu lets the flavor of the broth and noodles shine, making it a haven for purists and ramen enthusiasts alike.“
“This is where we go for special occasions when we want solid Korean food, particularly savory soups. But that is not to say the other stuff on the menu is not worth trying. Some of the dishes deserve special recognition, because they are not typical (in my experience) or because they are exceptional. Not typical could include the Yeolmu Boribap, which is daikon radish greens mixed with barley rice and other ingredients. Very tasty and filling, even if I can't recall having it elsewhere. We really like it. Seasonal? Maybe.Exceptional could include the Doenjang soup/chigae, which we all agree is maybe the best we have tried in years. It is a treat. Many regard this dish, served elsewhere, as a pedestrian food, ordinary and a staple, but here it is elevated. The Chunggukjang is a more rustic version of the Doenjang soup/chigae, and it is very delicious. For the uninitiated, this is a stew made from something like (Japanese) natto, and it isn't great for a hot day, but rather, awesome for cold weather dining. Delicious, not for the delicate. In sum, this is a mom-and-pop style place, not some corporate chain, exactly the kind of place we like to support. People in the area who seek good homestyle Korean food will know this place and appreciate what they do here.“
“Very interesting place , the food is top notch , they served you super well portions and the flavor is super , the lady that welcomes you is a character in a good way , is super nice and attentive, but with a little hyper crazy personality... their only fault is place needs to be a little more organized as you can see boxes and tables for storage and plain view ... but overall a good place ... that tea wasn't that good either ( super hot be careful)“
“Hainan chicken is alright not bad, but taste more like some hong kong style chickenThe beef noodle soup( with the white soft noodle) is actually really good! The spicness is also perfect, the soup can also feel the light beef broth and the noodle blend well with it, def a hidden gem.“
“We order here at least once a week. The kung pao chicken and beef and brocolli is delicious. The hot and sour is phenomenal. Always brothy with lots of fixins in it. Great flavors. We want to go into the restaurant soon and see what they recommend since we always have our go to meals and would like to try something new. Definitely recommend this place!“
“Really good food, got the chicken teriyaki and my husband got the half bbq chicken & half beef combo! It was a lot of food and so good! Their drinks are so cheap and yummy I got the Thai tea boba! Service is amazing they are so sweet and nice! Can't wait to come back.“
“So good! We had the spicy beef soup with wide noodles, the chow mein with triangle noodles, and the pork burger. All were very good! The beef noodle soup was great and the chewiness of the noodles was fantastic. Will have to return and try many more things. The chili oil was on point. The man who took our order was very friendly.“
“Have been here twice and love the service and food! the employees are on top of it with water and hot tea and when we are need of more. the rice is the best because it’s simply not burnt from the bottom which many places sadly fail to do. aside from the the meat and soup are so yummy! got the pork tofu soup plus the bulgogi on the side!“
“Lady that took my order over the phone made sure to explain the menu items I wanted to order before finalizing my pickup order. Upon picking up my order she made sure to go over my entire order and had it packed perfectly. When I got home and unpacked my order, all items were labeled and even included a note letting me know one of the items was extra hot. Little details like this is what keeps my family and I coming back to Ho Ho China. Thank you to the staff and cooks, keep up the great work!“
“Seating is a bit tight and intimate (not too far from neighbors), but the food is FANTASTIC! We had all kinds of dumplings which were delicious, but the best of the best would have to be the beef roll, which tastes amazing and has this really nice flaky-crunchy texture to it. 11/10 would come here and annihilate 6-10 orders of the beef rolls“
“We made a reservation for our lunch luckily otherwise it gets really crowded, wanted to try something new.Atmosphere and service were great. Food was delicious.Since it was lunar new year, they provided us with gift vouchers for next visit.“
“A small but excellent Japanese Restaurant in Rowland Heights. For the 1st time visitors, the location may be strange as it is located in the middle of industrial zone but you will not be disappointed there with friendly staff and delicious food. This place is always packed with the crowd, so prepare yourself for a long wait to dine in.“
“Another place I go to regularly and somehow never reviewed. This little place is the definition of a hole in the wall with fantastic home-made tasting food. The kimchi stew tastes as good as the ones my friends' moms make. They always use very ripe kimchi. Their dumpling soup is also very good with broth that actually has flavor. Their meats are all well marinated and the stone pot bi bim bap is awesome! They also give you tons of side dishes. Their prices are also much lower than most of the places nearby. The Aunties don't speak a lot of English but they're always so kind. Love this place. **Tip: if you prefer white rice make sure to ask or they'll automatically give you the rice with stuff like beans.“
“I am a picky person when it comes to eating out. When my sister said a noodle house I wasn’t sure about it. But I decided to really try it. Well it was great I would recommend this place and go back again. Quiet little place in Arcadia. Very clean. Very helpful servers and reasonably priced.Parking: Behind restaurant plenty of free parking.“
“Food was amazing, everything wad seasoned perfectly and the Ramen was so flavourful! Service and atmosphere were both great as well, the vibes here are very cozy and heart warming. The servers always kept a close eye on the customers and Jackie, the manager, is extremely kind and provides us with foremost service. I recommend dashiwa Ramen to anyone visiting/locals around here. Worth it, pricing was good too! ❤️“
“Located inside of Diamond Plaza, the parking can be quite hectic in there. Best way to describe this restaurant is: build your own hot pot soup bowl. There is an ingredients bar that allows you to put your favorites in a bowl. A good selection of veggies, to meat and carbs. After fill your bowl, take it to the counter, choose a soup base, they will cook it for you. While you wait, there is a seasoning bar that you can make your own sauce. The soup base is flavorful already but if you like to dip your food in hot pot sauce, they got you.Place is well lit and clean, also well organized for the space that it has. There is a decent amount of seats but it does get pack at times and may be a wait. It is meant to be a fast pace restaurant so wait isn't too long.Staff there are nice and when you food is done, they will bring your food to your table. It is such a great and simple concept and I love being able to customize the bowls, it means i won't waste food because I'm a picky eater.Would highly recommend“
“Delicious Tofu SoupHad pork kimchi soup spicyNice hot smoking tofu soup with great taste. Pork was nice and juicy and the tofu had perfect firmness. The soup wasn't just spicy but rich in flavor. Had lots of side dishes that were delicious (kimchi, cold noodles, etc.), however limited to 2 refills. Kind of wish it had unlimited refills. Service is pretty standard for Korean restaurant“
“I've eaten here multiple times and the food has always been stellar - if I could rate higher than 5* I would. I particularly love the 然面 and 担担面 but you truly can't go wrong here. Just don't forget to mix your noodles 18 times! Truly one of my favourite spots in SGV and a place I'll continue to visit “
“One does not simply order Pho from any regular reataurant. During the chill of the winter months, one's pho must not only be hot enough to warm ones stomach, but the flavor must be equally satiating. Ladies and gentlemen, if you have been tired of subpar pho with equally poor service, I am glad to announce yo you all that your search for the best pho you've ever had is over. Not only is the broth steamy hot, but the specific flavoring this family restaurant utilizes is spectacular. You can tell that it is freshly made and that much effort has been expended to curate the best flavored broth I've EVER HAD. As a pho enjoyer, I can't believe I've never been here before. And if that is not enough, the lovely hostess/waitress, who is also part of the family that owns this business is the kindest and warmest soul I've ever had tend me at a Pho restaurant. The service is prompt, warm, and delivered with care. She's also very humorous and will engage with you in a little small talk!God bless this place. Do yourself a favor and warm yourself up with the most spectacular pho you've ever had.“
“I love this place so much!!! The noodles are so good and fresh. I love the soup, although slightly oily. The skewers are tasty!! Perfectly cooked and well seasoned. There was no wait and the servers were extremely friendly. I will definitely be back!“
“Went here for the first time today. Was a late lunch and we were the only customers there. My wife ordered the Chnpon ramen I had the fried chicken ramen. We were served promptly by the efficient server. Both our dishes were flavorful and generous portions. Hard to understand the few reviewers who felt the food was bland. My wife has visited Japan and felt this was an authentic Japanese Raman . This is our go to ramen place. Highly recommended!“
“The banh cuon here is SO GOOD. What's different is that they put carrots and I think, potatoes in it, so it lends a hint of sweet and savory. It's really comforting. The wrapper is thin and the ratio of filling to wrapper is satisfying! My husband got the pho ga and I took his raw bean sprouts and stir fried it with a little salt and added it to the bean sprouts that were a part of my banh cuon meal. The pho ga broth is DELICIOUS. Way better than most places I've tried that just taste bland or like water. Service is so friendly too. I can't believe this is my first time trying it. Definitely will be back for moreee!“
“100% recommend this place. Ordered: -Potato Noodle -Fried Chicken Pro: -Potato noodle was really good. Chewy and savory. We got the seafood meatballs but they also have a beef one. The broth was spicy and not too heavy tasting. -The chicken was savory sweet, a bit sticky and a delight to eat! There are a lot of bones and the meat is slightly chewy which makes a pleasant texture. -Interior was clean, bright and cute -Plenty of parking inside the structure -Price is reasonable Con: -No credit card payment under $30“
“Always a pleasure coming here. The food is packed with flavor, cooked to perfection, and served with generous portions.I work in the plaza and go here often for lunch. The service is always top-tier and the staff are welcoming. Whether you're taking it to go or enjoying the ambiance of the store, PhoX is the perfect place to get a delicious, filling meal.I go here at least once or twice a week and I don't plan on stopping any time soon!“
“Beef noodle soup (tendon and tripe) was tried--spicier than I prefer although I'd agree it has a good taste. It's totally a throwback ambience, no frills operation where you can get your Taiwanese food fill. Also tried the flat noodles, came al dente (nice) but preferred the original noodles.“
“As a Taiwanese in California there’s not a lot of really “good authentic” restaurants, but I’ve lived I. Rowland heights for so many years now and this is by far my favorite stinky tofu restaurant ever and they have amazing service, super kind staff, you can sit outside or inside! Super great and love the food!“
“Stumbled on this place by chance while walking in the area. The staff is very friendly. The food took a while to come out but was worth the wait. Fresh & thoughtfully prepared. We had the bún thịt nướng chả giò. I added a fried egg which was also perfect! The pork was baked perfect & the egg roll was cut to perfect portions. The veggies were very fresh. The mango smoothie was also good. We also ordered some egg rolls after. They were good. The sauce was especially great!Only gripe was the wait, but the food was very good! Hope to come again.“
“This place is an old school Korean restaurant but the food is excellent. As someone who recently moved from Koreatown LA to a gateway city, I had to find my go to Korean restaurant and I think this is one of my favorite places. We like to get the Uhndaegoo jorim (braised black cod). Some of our other favorites are the dahk gae jang, as well as the bohtsahm. The atmosphere is very modest and simple, but this is the kind of place that suits me.I highly recommend this place both for Korean traditionalists as well as non-Koreans who just want some really good quality Korean food.“
“I really enjoyed the clay pot rice dish they serve, very special and tasty. For $16.99, you get 1 clay pot rice and 1 soup, super good quality with good price! I highly recommend their appetizer, you can’t go wrong with any of these, you have to check it out!“
“Was surprised I hadn't come across this restaurant in my time in the SGV. They're prob one of the most economical places to dine right now in terms of their prices and portions. I like that you can choose between rice or noodle soup when it comes tot heir entrees. I like them because they give a big portion of food but also veggies and they're not overly salty like most restaurants are these days. They also have a wide selection of drinks to choose from so overall it's a great spot to add to your rotation. The owners seem like really nice and honest people and was very accommodating to us as guests. They also have plenty of parking outside and seating inside!!“
“My favorite restaurant in Arcadia. I highly recommend the liang pi (cold noodles), ziajiang (dry noodles), and Guilin soup (noodle soup). Plus their Guilin soup is my go-to hangover soup dish. It basically saved my life.edit: Forgot to mention, their portions are huge. It's well worth the price. You can easily eat any entree for 2 meals. For me, it takes closer to 3 meals.“
“It was REALLY good food! Absolutely superb! The fried rice was some of the best I've ever tasted! And the Dan Dan noodles were also amazing! We went there for lunch so there was zero wait time and only one other person when we got there. As we finished up there was nearly ten in at the tables, so we beat the rush. The waitress was nice and took our orders quickly. She was a little pushy at the end when she was asking why we hadn't left a bigger tip but that was OK. We're all trying to make ends meet.Overall a great experience! Thanks you!“
“Truly best Chines restaurant I have even been to100% HALALAtmosphere: 1000% ExcellentClean: 1000% ExcelentService and Hospitality of Owner & Waiters: 1,000,000% ExcellentFood: 100,000% Excellent.Go eat there and you will thank me, seriously“
“I like this shop very much. The beef texture is sufficient (I ordered half gluten and half meat), the noodles are chewy (I ordered thick noodles), the soup is thick (but a bit too salty), and the side dishes are delicious and reasonably priced!Paired with Hantian Lemon Aiyu, it’s another wonderful meal! There is too much clutter in the store environment, which makes it feel a bit oppressive.“
“Came by for Xmas day lunch, we wanted to try their special noodles and other dishes. So we had a party of 5, most tables were 2-4 but they had one round table that could fit more, but since it was in the corner it was pretty much bets for five so the half table is on the side of other tables. We sat down and water was self serve which is. Ice so we don't have to wait on a server. Our hostess came and took our order, she knew some English but we ordered in mandarin. We ordered wood eat mushroom, cucumber salad (looks spicy but isn't spicy), cold beef slices, wife's special noodles, and beef soup noodles. They were all great. The wife's special noodles was such a nice portion, it consisted of three flavors in a bowl with cucumbers. My favorite was tomato and egg, the meat pieces were delicious, and the noodles were steamy hot and chewy. The broth of the beef noodle soup looked bland but it was flavorful, however, our family usually likes it spicy so they had chili oil on the table which added a nice spicy flavor. The beef was tender.Glad we came to try this place, will probably come back to try the dumplings!“
“Small, hole-in-the-wall place.Service is pretty fast considering there's only a couple people serving. This place's charbroiled meats are so good! Their vermicelli bowls and rice plates always hit the spot and the sides of egg and pork loaf and shrimp paste wrapped in tofu are tasty as well. You do not need the sweet fish sauce because everything is so flavorful by itself, but it's definitely a nice addition! However, I don't necessarily care for the soups here. Their pho broth is a little bland and imitation crab meat in the seafood soup someone in my party ordered was still cold in the middle.“
“Everything was very delicious!! We ordered their pho, egg rolls, and shrimp spring rolls. I had the rib eye pho and the broth tasted deep and flavorful. The spring roll was filling and tasted very fresh. The egg rolls were plentiful and came with veggies to wrap and dip.The owner of the restaurant is very sweet and provided exceptional service!Overall very pleased with this place and definitely recommend!“
“My family has been coming here for years and it’s one of our favorites! Family owned business that’s consistently great. We love the hand shaved noodles, pan fried dumplings, spicy wontons and beef roll but really can’t go wrong here. They also have frozen dumplings and wontons to take home!!!!“
“Came by on a weekday around 2pm with no wait. There is the original store, outdoor seating as well as next door indoor seating as well. Waitlist on Yelp makes everything so much easier as you can sign up when you're close by or even get an idea of how long the wait is. It was a hard decision between lomo Saltado and the combination pho.... So we got both!! By far the best pho broth I have ever tasted. Packed with so much flavor and not salty at all. They even ask if you're okay with all the toppings that come with it (green onion, cilantro and jalapeño) Lomo Saltado *beware the green sauce is dangerously good and a sloooooow burn...* filet mignon was good & recommend this to anyone craving a good lomo Saltado dish. If there was one thing I had to criticize, would be the effectiveness of the second seating area we were at next door.. it seemed a bit disconnected to the rest of the restaurant and the waitresses/waiter had to walk a bit to deliver food.Overall I highly recommend this place & the PHO!!!“
“Pretty solid noodle house with yummy broth and a good variety of choices to order from. We ordered the Crabmeat Tomato Basil Noodles and House Special with Mixed Noodles. We thought the flavors were good and there was enough to take home for some leftovers. The place wasn’t crowded before noon. This is our second time here and they have specials if you order over $39 worth of food and pay in cash you can get a drink included with your meal. Hope this place stays around. Parking on the street if it’s available.“
“Soooooooo FREAKING DELICIOUS! I’m telling these pho restaurants that are trending doesn’t beat how amazing fresh and delicious this place is!!! Everything had different flavors and it’s not as known so you get a calm and peaceful environment. But this place should get the Recognition it deserves!“
