“We came here for lunch on a Sunday and waited for 45 mins before being seated. There were only two women working the front dining room and since service was slow, table turnovers were slow too. So expect a wait but the food was very good.
We like that they have pictures on their menus. We ordered the dan dan noodles, the chong qing noodles (my favorite), the pork chop noodle, youpo noodle, and xiao long bao. All were good and portions were large.
I do like the spicy mala flavors and that's in quite a lot of their dishes. Mild still has a kick to it, fyi.
The parking lot is too small for the restaurants in shopping area as is common in a lot of Asian areas. But there are plenty of free street parking around.“
“I’m a weekly regular at Hungry Bird — and honestly, it’s earned every single visit. The hand-pulled noodles are incredibly satisfying, and the charcoal-grilled skewers are some of the best I’ve had. Everything I’ve tried has been consistently great. Highly recommend — just go!“

“This place is a hidden gem! The potato noodles were super chewy and flavorful, and the broth was rich but not too heavy. I also loved the combo deal – great value for the price. The staff were friendly and service was quick. Definitely coming back“

“Stopped in around 3PM for a late lunch and was really glad I got to try their farm fresh chicken rice. Meat was juicy with really good quality rice on the side. The best part is you can hear them chop your portion on order. The dipping sauces were garlic and spring onion, spicy and a vinegar dip - they all complement the chicken very well. This place is solid and I highly recommend to try it out if you are near the City of Industry or Puente Hills alone or with a friend.“

“Food is delicious and fragrant. Chili oil is authentic and actually has spice and taste, not that mild stuff other places have. The beef in the fried noodle dish is tender and delicious, the sauce is fragrant. Cats ear noodle did take a longer time to make, but it's all hand made. Can't complain.
My husband got the lamb organ soup and the broth is milky white. The soup is extremely clear tasting and not gamey. Hand pulled noodle texture is on point. Not too soft, chewy.
Speciality fried pork was great and had that authentic north west vinegar sauce and taste.
There was a super annoying customer last night and the staff handled the situation very well. My husband was annoyed for the staff. Props to the restaurant. 10/10.
If you're dining in for the first time:
-Staff does not speak English, do some research on Xian cuisine and checkout their menu beforehand so you understand what dishes to expect
-They accept cash
-Water is self service
-Staff is not intentionally being rude, there's a cultural difference between Chinese and western dining service
-They don't bring utensils out because they're already at your table
-If you have any type of food allergies or dietary restrictions it's up to YOU to figure it out and not the staff“

“MR DRAGON NOODLE HOUSE delivers an outstanding noodle experience that easily earns a full 5 stars. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, with a casual, comforting vibe that sets the tone for a great meal.
The noodles are the highlight—rich, flavorful broth paired with perfectly cooked noodles that have just the right texture. Whether you go with a classic beef noodle soup or a spicier specialty bowl, each dish is packed with depth and balance. The toppings are fresh and generous, especially the tender meats and crisp vegetables that add great contrast in every bite.
Service is quick and attentive without feeling rushed, and the staff does a great job of making sure everything comes out hot and fresh. Portions are satisfying, leaving you full but not overly heavy.
Overall, MR DRAGON NOODLE HOUSE stands out as a go-to spot for comforting, high-quality noodle dishes that are consistent, flavorful, and worth coming back for.“

“The noodles are good, but a little bland. The owner explained that they under spice it due to customer complaints, but has extra on the side so you can add however much you need. But the bigger issue is the pepper themselves aren't quite authentic enough, it's a little muddy in flavor and doesn't cut through the fat flavor profile, so it's a bit mid. Over all an easy B+ or A-. Pricing is a little high (maybe a buck or so cheaper is more appropriate, considering the portion size) but acceptable.“

“Really solid food and a fantastic staff. My young son is on the autism spectrum which limits where we can comfortably eat out. The waitstaff always go out of their way to make us feel welcome. Great family-friendly place. So glad to have them in the community. ♥️“

“A place that inspires nostalgia. I saw a couple of kids in there doing homework and people in the area going there for some lunch or early dinner. The kids art on the wall was so sweet and it really made the place feel like home. The soup was so fragrant and I could easily change my noodles for something I wanted. I love this style of noodle, I got the knife cut and it was so chewy, and the beef was so tender I could pull it apart with my chopsticks. I recommend this spot if you’re in the area. Because it was a lot slower I was sitting at the booth with an empty bowl for a minute, but since I wasn’t in a rush I didn’t mind at all.
I recommend the b7 (or d7 I can’t remember) in their house specialties. The broth was delicious!“

“This little mom-and-pop noodle shop was such a great find! We stumbled in right around 8:30 PM, just before they closed, and ended up being the last ones there.
Their noodles were honestly delicious. I mean, my nephew, who is notoriously picky, even complimented the shrimp noodle! The dandan noodles were a touch too salty for my personal taste, but everyone else absolutely loved them.
Even though it was late, the service was great. We never felt rushed. I'm definitely going to be coming back whenever a noodle craving hits!“

“A cozy and homey casual noodle restaurant. They serve classic comfort food and have decent portions and good value. Simple menu and delicious food that is satisfying. The noodles came with lots of meat and was well seasoned. The interior is very clean and the staff are friendly. No credit cards under $25, but they take Venmo and Zelle.“

The broth is flavorful, the ingredients are fresh, and everything is always prepared perfectly. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes every visit enjoyable. We would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for amazing pho. It's definitely worth the drive! 🍜😊“

What impressed me even more than the food was the service. The staff are incredibly attentive, friendly, and well-coordinated. Their teamwork and efficiency make the entire dining experience smooth and enjoyable. Everything arrived quickly, the restaurant was very clean, and the atmosphere felt welcoming.
Finding a place like this on a Sunday afternoon truly felt like a little moment of happiness. Great food, great service, and a great experience overall. I will definitely be coming back! ★★★★★“

Their staff is friendly and the food comes out in a timely manner“

“Thai food is a hit or miss ,and some better than others. So far Lucky Thai has been better than most, with a few drawbacks when then run out of product. All food is made fresh from my trips here. This establishment is inside the 168 Market and is very simple, small seating to eat there or you can have take out. Service takes a little time for prep in most cases, but worth the wait.“

It is a Cantonese restaurant that serves some faves.
I got the rice roll with beef stew. That was really good!
The salted chicken rice was ok, nothing g to rave about. Hope they serve with more chicken.
Not to miss is the chili sauce. It is the garlicky spicy variety.“

“I went to this place in San Gabriel a lot of times for eating their noodles. I really like their soup base, it is very delicious. The noodles in one order is a lot so you can totally become full after eating one bowl. Ludingji has opened for so many years in LA and their reputation is always good. Their price is reasonable as well. Highly recommend to go and try!“

“Absolutely obsessed with this restaurant! It’s my go-to whenever I’m in the Walnut area and need a guaranteed delicious meal. Let’s talk about the Hainanese chicken - it’s a revelation. The texture is unbelievably tender and smooth, not a bit rubbery. You can tell it’s made with care. The chicken skin has a lovely, subtle gelatinous quality, and when you pair it with the fragrant rice and the incredible house-made chili and ginger scallion sauces… it’s just perfection. Don’t sleep on their other dishes, either. The potato noodles come in a massive, steaming clay pot with a soup base that’s both spicy and deeply flavorful. The fried buns are golden, crispy little clouds of goodness. The atmosphere is super casual and welcoming, and the staff are always friendly. Honestly, for the quality and portion size, the price is a steal. This is a true neighborhood treasure, and I can’t recommend it highly enough!“

“the restaurant is super clean. If you show up thinking you're going to order Orange chicken, Broccoli beef, kung pao chicken or any of that chinese fast food then this is not the place for you. BUT if you're looking for some delicious mouth watering dumplings cooked in various forms then you're at the CORRECT place. I brought my mom here and we tried the pork chive regular dumplings, the pan fried beef and cumin dumplings and the regular fried rice. All of it was delicious. Also they give you a complimentary bowl of egg drop corn soup. NOT a small bowl but a good size portion, it was GOOOOOD. I will definitely be back with the rest of the family and I want to try the beef noodle soup. DON'T fall asleep on the fried rice.“

“Tried Vege Valley Restaurant recently and honestly it was a good surprise. I’m not even strictly vegetarian but the food was really flavorful and fresh. Ordered noodles and a veggie dish both were well cooked and not too oily, which I liked.
The place is simple perfect for a relaxed meal. Service was quick and staff were polite. Pricing also feels reasonable for the portion size.
Only small issue was parking, took a bit of time to find a spot. But overall definitely worth visiting if you want healthy and tasty veg food.“

“We were in town for the weekend and wanted a light, sushi lunch. I always feel like I'm gambling a bit when I go somewhere based on a quick maps search, but this place is delightful. We enjoyed our rolls and chicken fried rice and we're sad we were traveling and couldn't take it with us. I wish I took more pictures, but I only thought to leave a review at the end of our meal when our server surprised us with these adorable oranges. What a treat! Definitely give them a try!“

“Great food and amazing service!
Parking is super easy since it’s located in a huge plaza.
I got here around 11:00 AM and waited in line for about 20 minutes. The line was mostly filled with older people speaking Cantonese, which told me right away that this place is super authentic!
The Beef Chow Fun is super flavorful and comes in a huge portion.
Their $12.99 breakfast combo is also a great deal with a huge portion—though it's pretty much pure carbs! And the best part is they still let you order it even after the breakfast hours.
You also get free refills on the Hong Kong style milk tea, and you can even take it to go for free. The iced version is the best, especially in the summer!
Unlike a lot of other places where the food is good but the service is terrible, the staff here is incredibly welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend!“

“I like this place. $13.99 per pound of food. You get to choose all your toppings. I recommend going heavy on the meats and light on the carbohydrates. That’ll be the best bang for the buck. They also have frog meat if that’s your lingo. I tried their beef bone broth and I like it a lot. I’d come back again.
**UPDATE**
Just a heads up. If you can’t eat mild this place won’t be for you. They can’t alter the broth. The only option is the tomato broth which is no spicy.“

“Simply delicious noodles and beef roll!! It’s nice you can choose which noodle shape you want, and they’re so yummy and perfectly chewy. “We were hungry and after checking out the food court decided to find another restaurant, and this is just outside of the mall.
The chefs are cooking the Udon noodles in huge Pots and their style is the subway way 🥪 but noodle style.
We got the traditional beef and beef curry 🍜 with Gyoza.
The Udon was tender and chewy and the broth was not too light but had enough richness to it tastes so good. The curry was good and not too spicy, with the meat just hit the spot.
Plenty of seating inside plus outside seating as well.
Ran very efficiently cause during busy lunch Rush the customers went in n out so plenty seats available.“

“Xinbale is a fast-food restaurant serving authentic Taiwanese cuisine. It offers a wide variety of snacks; generally speaking, the flavors tend to be on the sweeter side. If you are not fond of sweet tastes, be sure to avoid ordering the Stir-fried Tomatoes with Eggs. Even on weekdays, the restaurant is bustling with diners. They also offer an extensive selection of beverages, and you can enjoy a dessert after your meal.“

“Highly recommend if you love din tai fung style cuisines without waiting 2hrs and breaking your wallet.
Their dan dan noodles with rice noodles was savory, with that lovely peanut base sauce.
Their Crab & pork xiao lou bao is super delicious. Their skin is thin and the soup inside just fills your mouth. Honestly i think it's better than Din tai fung for that alone.
The beef tomato noodle was filled with thick, tender beef chunks, and the diced tomato was actually sauted with savory seasoning.
You can see many locals come here to enjoy excellent quality comfort food.
From Ordering to being served was a matter of minutes. Great for limited lunch break people!“

“**Authentic Shanghai flavors are surprisingly hard to find in Southern California, but this is one restaurant I keep coming back to. Since its days at Fullerton Plaza, it has built a loyal following, and even after relocating to Rowland Heights, the quality and flavors remain as good as ever.**
This visit was all about classic Shanghai dishes, and every one of them delivered.
The **pork soup dumplings (xiaolongbao)** are a must-order. Served piping hot, the wrappers are thin yet resilient enough to hold the rich broth inside. Take a small bite, sip the flavorful soup, then enjoy the tender pork filling—absolutely satisfying. The true test of a great xiaolongbao is the soup, and this place has maintained remarkable consistency for over a decade.
First-time visitors should not miss the restaurant’s signature **giant crab roe soup dumpling**. About the size of your palm, it makes quite an impression when it arrives at the table. A straw is provided so you can first savor the abundant crab-infused broth before enjoying the delicate wrapper and filling. Rich, savory, and interactive, it's both delicious and fun.
The **Yulan fried rice cake** is a classic Shanghai snack. Its glutinous rice exterior is fried to a beautiful golden crisp while remaining pleasantly chewy inside. Filled with juicy seasoned pork, it strikes a wonderful balance between sweet and savory flavors. The more you chew, the more its distinctive aroma unfolds—a nostalgic taste of old Shanghai.
The **Wuxi-style spare ribs** were another highlight. Slow-braised until incredibly tender, the meat falls off the bone with ease. The sweet-savory sauce fully penetrates the ribs, creating the signature Jiangnan flavor that keeps you reaching for another piece.
The **stuffed gluten puffs with pork** brought back childhood memories. The gluten absorbs the savory braising sauce, becoming soft and springy, while the hearty pork filling inside adds satisfying texture and flavor. Every bite feels comforting and familiar.
The **shepherd’s purse dumplings** have remained consistently excellent over the years. The shepherd’s purse is fragrant and fresh, paired with just the right amount of pork filling. Flavorful yet never greasy, it’s the kind of comforting homemade dish that never disappoints.
To finish, we ordered a bowl of **sweet rice wine soup with glutinous rice balls**. The fermented rice aroma is delicate and balanced, while the rice balls are soft and chewy without being overly sweet.
Keeping a restaurant open for more than a decade is no easy feat. What’s even more impressive is its commitment to preserving the familiar flavors of Shanghai all these years later. From soup dumplings to traditional Shanghainese specialties, from Yulan cakes to shepherd’s purse dumplings, every dish reflects genuine care and craftsmanship.
For many longtime customers, this restaurant is more than just a place to eat—it’s a taste of home and a connection to cherished memories. The address may have changed, but the Shanghai flavor that people have loved for over ten years remains exactly the same.“
