“I’m touring a condo in Oakland for a client making an offer and I stop for a quick bite at a tiny sandwich place next to the Grand Lake Theater. OMG, Unbelievable sandwiches, smoked meats, homemade pickles, peppers🫑 and memorable pulled pork, etc. I hang out for a few minutes while Jerry makes my Cuban sandwich, and he has me try their smoked bacon, homemade meatballs, and more. “I got the special combo ham sandwich without cilantro and jalapeno - but I found a jalapeno in my sandwich. My partner also found jalapeno in #20 grilled pork with lemon grass even it was ordered with no jalapeno. Beside that complaint, the banh mi was really good! The bread is soft and crunchy without hurting the roof of our mouth and it's fully stuffed with the meats and veggies while being affordable!

Although the inside of the shop is clean and organized, the streets is seemingly sketchy and dirty looking so be cautious. It might be hard to find parking.

Otherwise, it's worth to stop by to try!“

“Simple deli with imported Italian goodies. It seemed family owned and like they had regulars. Really nice people and community vibe. There are many sandwiches to choose or you can make your own. We got one muffuletta and one turkey bacon with pesto, mayo, cheese, and veggies. The gardenia on the muffuletta was delicious! Tangy, flavorful, and chunky. We tried the sourdough roll and it absorbed the gardenia juice really well and not soggy. The turkey was loaded! We got the Dutch crunch bread. “I've been here twice. First time was amazing, second time was really good. Both times the sandwiches were 5 stars and plentiful. I would go here regularly if it was closer. The staff is pretty good and welcoming especially being a first timer and not really understanding their process or knowing the menu. I wish the place was more organized. If it's busy, I can understand that things get a little disorganized but when it's slow, toddy things up. Definitely plan to go back.“

I was on my way up to Broadway Terrace to pick up Foster Grant the Warthog, he's been kinda in the dumps because he's all alone, he's got his pitbull buddies Rayban and Maui Jim but it's not the same. “I whipped into the Sourdough & Company for an Amazing deli sando while coming back from the Glardhaven Auditorium way out there on the top of Kickinmeyers Ridge road where we listened to Pinkus McGee lecture on the do's and don'ts of poking sharp sticks at the Bison in Yellowstone park...he even showed everyone the scars where he was gored, all 8 of them.

“Great deli / cafe attached to a catering business. Sandwiches are outstanding. Meat piled high and very fresh vegetables. Roll was soft and light, also.

The deli operation closes at 2:00 pm daily and is closed on weekends. But in-between that, you can get a great sandwich here .

They have housemade salads of all types, incl pasta etc. I didn't try them but will - they all looked great

And, it is one of the few places to sit down and eat around here that doesn't try to shake a tip out of you at the cash register before even trying the food.

“So it's not the most beautiful place. But the sandwiches are amazing and taste fresh. The prices are also excellent for what you get and the coffee is very strong. There is a little parking available that is free. Definitely a place to eat to go as there's no seating available in store.“

Today an older woman was working and she had my sandwich ready when I arrived after ordering on the app. It was 11am, but no other customers present on a Saturday. Last time an Indian girl made my order, but she seemed really stern. Only reason I don’t rate five stars is because this location does NOT participate in any app deals or coupons whatsoever. Seems to be typical though of most Subway locations I visit throughout California.“
