“I’m touring a condo in Oakland for a client making an offer and I stop for a quick bite at a tiny sandwich place next to the Grand Lake Theater. OMG, Unbelievable sandwiches, smoked meats, homemade pickles, peppers🫑 and memorable pulled pork, etc. I hang out for a few minutes while Jerry makes my Cuban sandwich, and he has me try their smoked bacon, homemade meatballs, and more. “Simple deli with imported Italian goodies. It seemed family owned and like they had regulars. Really nice people and community vibe. There are many sandwiches to choose or you can make your own. We got one muffuletta and one turkey bacon with pesto, mayo, cheese, and veggies. The gardenia on the muffuletta was delicious! Tangy, flavorful, and chunky. We tried the sourdough roll and it absorbed the gardenia juice really well and not soggy. The turkey was loaded! We got the Dutch crunch bread. Both were very good, bread was amazing I could just eat the roll. I can’t wait to go back.“

“I got the special combo ham sandwich without cilantro and jalapeno - but I found a jalapeno in my sandwich. My partner also found jalapeno in #20 grilled pork with lemon grass even it was ordered with no jalapeno. Beside that complaint, the banh mi was really good! The bread is soft and crunchy without hurting the roof of our mouth and it's fully stuffed with the meats and veggies while being affordable!

Although the inside of the shop is clean and organized, the streets is seemingly sketchy and dirty looking so be cautious. It might be hard to find parking.

It's a quiet little place in a strip mall, and when the guy I was traveling with brought me up to it I definitely had second thoughts. But wow! The prosciutto and fig jam grilled cheese was fantastic, the staff was amazing, and the local is quirky, but clean.“

“I was hesitant to come back after I had a bad experience a year ago before they rebranded; which a lot of the older reviews reflect. VERY happy to say that they've improved significantly, I got the five spice chicken with an iced coffee and both are fantastic. Meat tastes great and the bread is perfect. Worth giving them another shot if you started avoiding this place like I did before.

“Great deli / cafe attached to a catering business. Sandwiches are outstanding. Meat piled high and very fresh vegetables. Roll was soft and light, also.

The deli operation closes at 2:00 pm daily and is closed on weekends. But in-between that, you can get a great sandwich here .

They have housemade salads of all types, incl pasta etc. I didn't try them but will - they all looked great

And, it is one of the few places to sit down and eat around here that doesn't try to shake a tip out of you at the cash register before even trying the food.

“This particular Subway is very clean and efficient. I had two people in line in front of me with 2 employees behind the counter. From entrance to exit (with sandwich in hand ) was about 5 minutes. The price of Subway sandwiches have really gone up, but again, what hasn't? Just make sure you bring in a coupon and your footlong will be $7 and change (coupons do not include the specialty sandwiches). Great place for a quick (really quick in this case) bite to eat!“

What luck! I whipped it on in faster than big Mabel Hatley in a sorority full of Georgia Peaches!

“I’ve been going to Ike’s since they only had one location, and was thrilled when they opened up in WC. Sandwiches are still just as stellar all these years later. “Subway always has good food. The shop wasn't busy the day that I went and this employee actually gave me the extra mayo that I requested and was very attentive to what I was requesting. I ordered 4 sandwiches and she marked each one so we could tell them apart. Great job! This shop was located in Pacheco, the first time I had been there since the one we usually go to was closed. Good to know.“
