“Love the convenience and quality of their sushi. The setup of this place is odd; people don’t know where to stand and there’s a past of the shop that is totally unused. It would be nice if they redesigned the space and could have more things or allow people to not block others trying to look at and grab food.“

“I would think the food is just average in flavor. The ingredients are fresh and good quality. However the nigiris themselves are too boring for me. Most of them are dominated by soy sauce flavor, and I can’t taste more layers than that. When there is less sodium then I could get a sense of the taste, but basically are from the ingredients themselves. The ambiance is good and the service is good. Parking is very convenient compared to SF.“

“Just moved into a new area and craving sushi so I found Hanabi Sushi on DoorDash. They had good ratings on DoorDash and Google Maps and most all, it was only a 10 min drive from me. Saw that they had 2 sushi rolls for about $20 which is good deal to begin with. And I also found the sashimi special had most of the fish that I like and the price was reasonable. I wasn’t sure if it came with just 1 pc of each that they listed (salmon, yellowtail, tuna, albacore and red snapper) or 2. That’s common for small portions for $30. To my surprise, they gave me 4 big pieces of each. I didn’t even eat the salad or soup because I was so full from eating the sashimi and sushi rolls. I ordered the food to go but right when I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by the sushi chefs and they thanked me for my order on my way out. Very friendly staff. Food was very good. I think I found my new sushi spot to go to.
Parking: I got there before they were closing so there was a lot of parking
Wheelchair accessibility: It’s in a shopping center so there’s plenty of parking in front and a handicap parking space in front of the restaurant also.“

“Been a long time since I dined here and forgot how good everything was. From the garlic edamame to the variety of rolls we tried...all were delicious! They have a smaller, but nice patio for outdoor seating.
Parking: Dinner time is also workout time for the gym next door...so parking can be a little tough.“

“This restaurant offers fresh sushi, friendly service, an accessible location, and a cozy atmosphere. One of the best sushi places around Walnut. The quality for the price is also very good. The eel rice bowl melted in my mouth, and the restaurant's service was also excellent.“

“Look, if you live in Concord, you're going to balk at the thought of eating sushi on Monument...don't...this is easily the best sushi joint in town. From unique rolls to gorgeous sashimi that lets the quality of the fish shine, this place has something for even the most discerning sushi fan. The only down side is the very moderately priced and rediculously good food draws a massive crowd, so be prepared to wait for a table.“

“Amazing sushi restaurant in Walnut Creek, very low key, unassuming spot but with excellent and super fresh food, especially sashimi.
We ordered premium sashimi omakase and extra toro as well as another roll and it was fantastic! I’d go back every time I’m in Walnut Creek!“

“The service was quick&staff were attentive, and friendly. The food was good. My usual(cherry blossom) was well put together. Because I seen a recommendation in the reviews for the Godzilla roll(deep fried yellowtail roll with a little spice to it)&the salmon belly, I tried them both and they delivered. The prices are decent.
Altogether a great first time experience.
I would return, and I would recommend.
Give House of Sake a try.“

“Sushi was absolutely delicious and chunky!! Just how I like it! No skimping on the portion sizes! The atmosphere is ok - small restaurant with tables just to sit and eat, nothing more, nothing less. If you just want good sushi, this is the place to go. You don’t go here for a vibe or to hang out and relax. Staff were very pleasant.“

“Ate here weekday lunch. Bento box and sushi combo between the two of us. Miso soup was the best I’ve had in recent memory. Bento had a ton of choices and was too much food! Everything was delicious and fairly priced. Will definitely be back.“

“We're always greeted with a combination of welcome back and or nice to see you again. The service is as good as the food. The fish is as fresh as if it was caught only hours before. We've been working our way through those fantastic rolls. Shelby and The Titanic are amazing. Anyway, please patronize our local businesses. So many small businesses didn't make it through the Pandemic and its so sad to see the stores closed up. Go enjoy wonderful food and equally good service from some very talented people.“

“Small shop, great food, prompt service. If you're lucky you can dine in. Don't let that turn you away it's a great restaurant. Their sushi is delicious, hand rolls hit the spot, and they're combos will satisfy any craving. My go-to's are the Chicken Katsu, Dragon Roll, and their California Handroll.
Wheelchair accessibility: If you're already on the sidewalk, you're good“

“Beautiful presentation of food that well matched the taste and honestly was blown away by this small shop in the corner that I've looked over so many times headed past on my way home. The miso soup bowl was humongous, for 6$ the large really is large and well worth it. The chicken katsu was delicious and so was the beef ramen, the exact name of which escapes me. Overall very yummy food and pretty reasonable prices and I'm quite upset I haven't been here sooner.“

“The oakland hill roll was surprisingly good. We mostly ordered bento. One was shrimp tempura and katsu bento. We came here to celebrate a birthday for a party of 8 and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. They even let us bring cakes and they also helped us light the candle on it. It was a sunny and hot day and we were surprised that they didn't have an AC but the customer service is very good. Will definitely come back.
Parking: Parking space is just behind & beside the store.
Wheelchair accessibility: It's wheelchair accessible. Store is on a single level building.“

“Tatsu Sushi is hands down my favorite sushi spot in the Bay Area. My brother and I have been coming here for a while now, and it never disappoints. The quality is always top-notch—fresh fish, perfectly seasoned rice, and well-balanced flavors in every bite. It’s the kind of place where you can taste the care that goes into each roll.
On top of that, the prices are more than fair, especially considering the quality. But what really makes Tatsu stand out are the little extras. The free gyoza and miso soup? That’s just an unbeatable touch. It’s rare to find a place that goes the extra mile like that, and it’s one of the many reasons we keep coming back.
The only downside? Word is getting out. It used to feel like our little secret sushi spot, but now more people are catching on. While I’m happy to see them getting the recognition they deserve, it does mean we might have to wait a little longer for a table. Even so, it’s always worth it. My brother and I will keep coming back for as long as they’re around.“

“I lost count of how many times I’ve come here - they never miss. The menu is familiar but enough unique items to stand out amongst all of the other AYCE sushi OR hotpot restaurants around.. oh and did I mention they offer both.. get this - for the same price ? come visit, you won’t regret it!“

“We are avid sushi eaters an we like to pick a new place everytime.
Staff were splendid and kind.
The food was delicious and price wise we actually got more then the last place we ate that was more expensive an less food.
We know sushi doesn’t always feel you up so we ordered a few things an shared with everyone at the the table. The spicy tuna was actually spicy. Whoot!
No kids menu- no problem- ? chicken teriyaki, rice, udon, tempera, seaweed salad!
The one Star removed is for the temperature an bathrooms. It was rather warm inside an the bathroom area smells which in an warmer environment penetrates the air. The roof is massively high. They need to spend some money an put in a fake ceiling an better air.
Overall good place. Will be back if on this side of town. We are everything!“

“Rather expensive sushi with indoor seating as well as a large backyard patio. The omakase selections (chefs choice) are great, go for that and savor it. The rest of the menu is pretty standard for the price. Service is ok, can be slow when it's busy - just be aggressive about waving down the server.
Parking: Park on side streets, but don't leave visible stuff in your car. I've seen a lot of "Oakland diamonds" on the street at times.“

“Ok, let me start by saying the food here is amazing. I've been twice, and both times I got the Special Keisen Don and I was really impressed by the selection of fish and seafood. Everything was so fresh and included yummy specialty items such as hotate, ikura, nishin, fatty tuna, etc. The food is so good that I believe this place deserves better service. The second time I went, there was only one front of house staff who briefly greeted, served us, and seemed to also be preparing the food as well as bussing tables. We ordered our food from a QR code on the table, and it was a bit confusing because all of the orders from the table are combined together on one check. I believe there should be an option for separate checks. It's nice to have the option to order though QR, but honestly nothing really beats old fashioned good service, and this place could really blow up if the service was as good as the food is. I'll be returning for the the food though as long as the quality remains consistent.“

“Loved this place, but removing a star because they took the teriyaki salmon option off the menu. Strange, because everyone loved it and it was often sold out! The raw fish is hit or miss. Bring back the teriyaki!
My roommates and I check doordash every week or so, just to see if they have Salmon Samba.“
