“This is one of our very favorite restaurants in laguna beach. We used it frequently during COVID.. my friend Nancy and I lunched there about every two weeks..food and service is excellent. Unfortunately health issues has slowed us down. Nancy is recovering. My daughter takes me on our way back from my dr. Appt in Newport Beach. We love Mandarin King. It's run by family. Priscilla and her husband and their kids when they are on break from college. The food is delicious whatever we order. The service is A+ friendly staff.“

“We were visiting Labor Day weekend from Chicago, happened to walk by this place and stumbled in. The host/server was courteous and friendly. The rolls were great. They even made me a custom roll I asked for not on the menu. The chef was fun to watch! Great little date spot. No line to get in, delicious, and great atmosphere. You can’t go wrong here!“

“My last visit was 7 years ago during a food tour where this was one of the stops. I’m happy to report that they are still as good as ever. Where can you get a carne asada burrito for under $13 these days and one that is so fresh tasting. I purposely ate it without the accompanying verde sauce. The meat was perfectly seasoned, tender, cabbage and avocados were fresh, and the flour tortilla was thin and stretchy which held together all that goodness.

We were enjoying it so much we didn’t get a chance to take a photo. Dine-in is quite small having only 2 outside tables so it’s best for takeaway. Just walk 3 blocks on Laguna Ave. toward the ocean, sit on one of the park benches, and enjoy. Good job guys. So nice to know you’re still going strong and serving up fresh, affordable options in this pricey beach town.“

We had a bit of a wait for our food but we were not in any hurry so it was not a big deal and the servers were really good at checking in with us and apologising for the delay and were super friendly . “Thai Brothers has been in Laguna Beach for almost 40 year and the food is absolutely wonderful! They provide large servings and allow you to easily customize your order. The staff are friendly and always make me smile. I usually get takeout though because the restaurant is relatively small and it can be difficult to hear each other sometimes. I hope they're still around in another 40 years!“

“I ordered the ramen tofu because there normal ramen was a combination of tonkotsu broth with pork and chicken.
Since I don't eat pork, it had to be the tofu one, which is really sad for me. I was expecting them to add chicken to it, but they couldn't, so I had to order a chicken lolipop on the side, which was actually pretty good.
So if you don't like/eat pork it's gonna be hard for you in there but otherwise the ramen tofu was good but I didn't want to eat tofu because I don’t like it but chicken but like I said I had no choice but to order it.“

“I love Maro's! As a local, this is my go-to spot for fresh, healthy dishes like the green beans and shishito peppers. The empanadas, especially the mushroom ones, are delicious. While I enjoy most of the entrées on the menu, my favorite is the bone-in filet—super yummy! The owners and staff are always on duty and aim to please, making you feel like family. The ambiance is great too, whether you choose to sit indoors or outdoors. For a more intimate setting, sitting indoors is perfect, but if you want to enjoy the fresh ocean breeze, the outdoor patio is the way to go.“

“We went for the first time yesterday before Pageant of the Masters. We were in a hurry for reasons out of our control, and they were great about getting our food out in time to enjoy on their front patio with a nice bottle of Italian red wine. They have umbrellas and heat lamps, but we didn't need them; the weather was perfect. I'm vegan so I ordered the Capellini al Pomodoro, but substituted it with the spicy sauce from the Rigatoni Arrabbiata. It was SO good. My husband had the Wild Mushroom Agnolotti, and that was also delicious. The other dish ordered was the Pesto Gnocchi, also so good! Every other place on Forest had at least an hour wait, but after all, it was a Saturday evening during the Festival of Arts. Thankfully someone recommended Salerno. We're definitely going back. Price spent reflects the wine. Next time, I'll try to make a reservation just in case!“

I have inquired with the manager and he pretty much said I have to purchase either platinum but it would be great if you have set price where the band was playing yesterday. “Very long wait times. Terrible customer service and overall, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had in my life. The waiter messed up our order and argued with my wife about how he did not mess up the order and continued to argue with my wife, which further upset me and my parents. I asked the waiter to leave and requested to speak with the manager. I had explained everything to the manager and told the manager that because the food came out wrong and the waiter argued with my wife, that it was time to go because the waiter ruined our meal and our experience. After paying for 3 meals that we did not eat, the restaurant manager was extremely rude, told us to leave, and to never come back. We left very angry and upset. This restaurant ruined our entire afternoon. I do not recommend this restaurant because of the terrible customer service. If you make a mistake, own it, and make it right. Not the case here, they just want your money and send you on your way as fast as possible. If you’re looking for a nice dining experience there are far better options than this place.“
