“So today my family wanted pick up stix and I didn't want to get pickup stix due to the odd interaction I had last time I went in. I have been going to this location for years and have never had any issue besides the last visit. There is a cashier that is an older gentleman who refuses to give extra sauce and will literally go back and forth over a couple sauce packets. I am buying for 3 people and the 2 siracha that he said is already in the bag is not enough. I decided oh well it probably will not be a thing today, but unfortunately the same guy today did it again. I asked him what the issue was and he stated that the sauce is in the bag already. I asked do I need to pay for extra sauce and if so I will, he stated no I don't need to then finally agreed to give me sauce. I have never ran into this situation ever at any restraunt where when I am paying for the meal I have to argue and ask several times for a couple extra packets of sauce. It's wild and unprofessional to think you need to argue with a customer over 4 siracha packets.“

“Legit!! Had the shrimp and pork dumplings, chili wontons, scallion pancake beef roll, spicy cucumbers, and sauteed broccoli.
New owners were super nice. Only feedback is that the acoustics are rough - it's loud in there.“

“So this is like a ghost kitchen. Sort of. It’s a place you can get food, and there’s people behind the scenes, but there’s no a person in sight. Everything is done on Grubhub/UberEats/Doordash.
First time in person is wild for me. Just show your details from your phone to a camera and the door opens with your food when the app says your food is ready.
But as far as a “classic cheeseburgers” go, it’s a smash burger. No edits allowed (as least from what I saw)
That is what I got. And I gotta be honest. It’s one of the best smashed burgers I’ve ever had. The burgers are THIN and have that crispy laced edges. The sauce is insane, and the bread is perfect. Onions and pickles as well. 10/10 would recommend to everyone. And it’s a local place too. Which I love. Since it’s not a giant chain.“

“We have been going there for over 20 years. The food and service is always good. Not fancy but the food is good. It is in a mall area easy to park with no problems. You can always count on a good meal and reasonably priced.“

“I accidently ordered from the wrong location for pickup and was ready to pay a second time just get the food but they insisted I did not pay again and prepared the food I ordered anyway. Absolutely lovely people, it was very kind of them. As for the food itself, it was great with generous proportions to boot.“

“We have eaten here multiple times and have never been disappointed. This time around we ordered 81. General Tao's Chicken, 37. Assorted Wonton Soup, and the 21. Egg Roll (4). My wife was feeling under the weather and the soup brightened her mood. She said it was exactly what she needed. The egg rolls were crisp and fresh. General Tao's Chicken was absolutely delicious. There are chilies in the dish. So, be aware if you are spice averse.
I highly recommend eating in person as well. It's a very nice restaurant and a great place to go for a midweek meal as well as special occasions.
Looking forward to trying other dishes on their extensive menu!“

“Hole in the wall restaurant. Little hesitant to try to at first but it had good reviews, and I’m so glad I did. Best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Got the orange chicken in the lunch special and it was a perfect crunchy outside with chewy inside. Nice and hot temperature. 11/10. Had to write a review so more people know about this place.“

“Nostalgia, hits in the childhood
The food, ambience and price is perfect. This place actually cares about taste, texture and heigeine.the food sits right with me and doesnt hurt my stomach like other small chinese food places. As long as they continue to operate the way they do I WILL NEVER stop giving them my business. 10/10 the independently owned corner chinese food place ive been looking for.“

“Needed a hole in the wall Chinese spot and I found it. Tracked them down from their second location in Grossmont Mall. Food is actually good. For San Diego, this is as good as you can get off Convoy. Classic family owned restaurant, looks like it’s been in business a while. Very kind and attentive with awesome food.“

“Christmas Eve just called to see a time they closed and they were closing but still offered to make me a dinner. I really appreciated her kindness but I insisted they enjoy the holiday and didn’t have to stay longer just for me. I will call again to try there food when opened. Kindness matters“

“Looking for a replacement Chinese Restaurant, since my favorite closed down. Ran out of options in Poway. So decided to give 369 a try. They had a few Chinese options, so tried the Broccoli Beef lunch special. I was pleasantly surprise, very good flavor and large portions. The regular portion would feed two. They also sell Beef Chow Fun. I normally have to get this at a sit down place. Theirs is pretty good. One day I will try the Ramen.“

“We got 2 combo plates (B) and i single (A) and man they load up the food! We got chow mein and rice as sides and beef & broccoli 🥦 Coconut 🥥 Shrimp 🍤 and Orange 🍊 Chicken 🐔. Honestly, it's enough food to split. I got an extra plate, which I probably didn't need. We took a lot home. The chow main was delicious, but the rice was pretty bland. The main dishes were good too. The service was fine. The place itself isn't much for atmosphere or decoration, it's pretty plain. Also to note, a few doors down there is an over 18 only pub or bar, and lots of guys were standing outside smoking.“

“I have eaten Vietnamese cuisine throughout California, and Grandpa Tao ranks among the best. In addition to the amazing tastes, the casual restaurant is friendly and comfortable. Ingredients are fresh, the environment clean and relaxing. I particularly recommend the Pho, the Rice Vermicelli (try it!) and the Shaking beef. You'll like it.“

“This to-go box is packed.
Picked up a couple of three item combo plates to bring back.
* Half fried rice-Half lo mein noodles, with Orange Chicken and BBQ ribs
* Half fried rice-Half lo mein noodles, with Kung Pao Chicken and Broccoli Beef.
Using the Panda Express to Great Wall Express conversion table, the rice/noodle side counts as one item ;)
The tiny parking lot and available curbside spots during daytime business hours would rival any Convoy St eatery.
Very chill, quiet atmosphere as we were the only patrons during the early weekday lunch visit. Service was quick and friendly.
Decent value whether you’re loading up on intake, fine with leftovers, and/or stretching out meals on a budget.“

“This place is so good. The food is fresh and hot. Most of all delicious. I enjoy the salt and pepper nuggets and hit and sour soup but other family members enjoyed the orange tofu. Oh and the Thai tea was yummy too. I am so glad to have this spot in my neighborhood. Its a bit warm in the restaurant but that's cause the kitchen is open and very busy.“

“My partner and I stopped in for a change-up in our usual picks. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience. The restaurant setting is quaint and familiar feeling. The service was fantastic with both the chef and server being very nice and considerate. The menu is full of different options to try. We ordered the spring rolls and two tofu dishes. All of it was good and freshly cooked. Remember to give the food a minute to cool down before you dive in. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is from not being wowed, but it's not a bad thing. It's a staple food spot with standard food taste and quality. You won't be upset stopping by, but you maybe wouldn't go out of your way ro try it again if you weren't in the area.“

“This review is based on a vegetarian dining experience. While Panda Country doesn’t offer alternative proteins like some other Asian restaurants (mock duck/chx/beef), I always prefer a mix of different vegetables and tofu anyways.
I’ve noticed that some San Diego Chinese restaurants offer fried wonton strips and sauce for appetizer; I thought it was an east coast US thing but we enjoyed them nonetheless. The mustard was odd though, tasted more like horseradish. The plum sauce was good.
Service was a bit slow tonight (Monday) but it was busy and it seemed like only 1-2 people running the whole operation. Staff was very courteous and apologizing for wait times but none of that concerned us. They were being as efficient as they could be. And I grew up dining in Chinese restaurants where staff basically ignored you the whole time.
My husband and I usually order the eggplant and green beans to go and they’re always good. This was our first time dining in and we tried the orange tofu and family style tofu. Sauces were light and flavorful——definitely not catering to heavy salty American taste which I prefer. I can understand why some Americans eat at chains like Panda Express and Pick UP Stix and still add soy sauce to their entrees (insane?!?). But we didn’t get that vibe from this restaurant.
We both left full and including tax and tip under $32. My only suggestion would be to add a vegetable to the orange tofu, like broccoli. Not only did it look kind of sad on the plate just by itself, it would have been a nice healthy filler to complement the tofu.
Very clean and spacious interior. Plenty of shopping center parking.“

“The service was excellent and the waiting time was lest than 5 minutes. The only problem was that the cashier gave me incorrect change. The cashier corrected the mistake even though it was busy. Good customer service. I'll be back.“

“I love the workers and food here. Most of the time that I come here, I pick up or order the family meals. Once in a while, I order 1-person meals. The workers are always professional, even during peak hours. I always get the food warm and tasty.
I've always received my food at reasonable times. I would never mind waiting 25 minutes for a family meal or 15 minutes for a 1-person meal. I always expect that they're busy and that they can run into any unexpected problems. However, I've only had one serious issue in the past with an order that they were able to make, but didn't and prioritized in-person customers.
This was some time in 2021 or 2022. At around 1:50pm, I placed a 1-person order online before work (1 side, 2 entrees). I went to pick up the order around 2:05pm (15 minutes later). The order wasn't ready. I told the cashier about my pick-up order. The cashier mentioned that they were working on it. While waiting, I saw the workers taking new orders from several in-person customers. Some of those customers got their food immediately and the others got it about 5 to 12 minutes after they ordered. I ended up getting my food around 2:20pm, even though I had ordered my 1-person meal around 30 minutes before they did. This is the only serious issue I've had with this Panda Express. One of the workers apologized about the long wait time for a small order. Other than that, they've always been great with customer service, quality of food, and serving time.“

“Quick and easy, good food, great rewards program and easy parking. Sometimes, feel a bit rushed through and area to eat is small but clean. The tea and Lychee drinks are fantastic.
Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options but if you're picky about oil used, just ask.
Parking: The location in Rancho San Diego can be tricky to park close but there's a huge parking lot nearby if you don't mind crossing the little parking lot road. There are other businesses nearby if multiple options are needed and there's a Soapy Joe's car wash if you need a car wash. Otger locations are available all over the city with a drive through in south bay near Notth Island Credit Union Amphitheater and Sesame place water park.“

“I recently visited Panda Express and had a really great experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and served hot. My favorite was the Orange Chicken—it had the perfect balance of sweet and tangy with just the right amount of crispiness. The portion sizes were generous, especially for the price, which made it a great value.“

“I go here all the time and have always had amazing experiences this last time I think they had a lot of online orders because they seemed to have a lot of orders open all over the place. It’s normally where you follow your food and watch them scoop but this time we gave our order and then waited for our name to be called. We had two items in our order incorrect. Food at panda is good tho so it is fine but we wanted orange chicken not giant sliced chicken and we wanted broccoli beef but we got it without the sauce that it is normally in it is plan meat and brocolli“
“After trying the dan dan noodles at a vegan pop-up market today, I can not stop thinking about them! The noodles, the OmniPork, the crisp veggies. Amazing. My boyfriend had the spring rolls and really liked them. I am looking forward to trying the rest of the menu because the whole menu looks fantastic! The staff was super friendly, and the portions were generous. Who can complain about vegan Chinese food? I can not, as it is challenging to find and is one of my favorite cuisines. I will continue to support this local restaurant and recommend giving it a try!“

“I'm not one for Chinese food in general, but I do enjoy entres.A friend of mine went for lunch, and I opted for a more vegetarian meal. I enjoyed fried rice and noodles, green veggies, beyond meat that looked like chicken (whatever sauce they put on this was amazing), veggie spring rolls, and some kind of fried wonton stuffed with cream cheese (the absolute bomb!! ? ? )She also opted for a mixed combo meal.“

“I've only had take out from this place, but it was a good take out. They have good variety. Took shrimp, squid, fried rice, chicken, some broccoli, all good. They also have sushi among a lot other options. Will go to sit down and eat one day, but for now they are a good quickie solution for me.“
“I used to delivery drive for Pizza Hut for years in Chula Vista and Bonita. I live in La Mesa and have been dying to have a Pizza Hut location that will deliver to me. Finally it is here! Pizza Hut Express in grossmont.
I've had three deliveries so far and everything is perfection.
Pizza Hut is the best pizza ever in my book - especially the stuffed crust. Everybody else gets the stuffed crust wrong - everyone. Pizza hut has always had the best dough - thanks to the dough masters.
You will be really happy with your experience.“

“Amazing and delicious! But sometimes it sucks. I don't know if its because the food gets worse while sitting under a heat lamp OR because the chef on the other half of the week is bad at cooking. But make sure you try to get the most freshly cooked options because you will feel the difference in quality.“
