“I've been to Barcha for several team dinners and every time they've done an exceptional job. Last night I was particularly appreciative of the excellent care/service they provided to a vegan member of our team. They had thoughtful menu options and cautioned against cross contamination in cooking oil, depending on how strict the person is with their diet. All of this was done discretely, kindly and supportively while also giving everyone else at the table excellent service!“

“How did I not know about this place? I saw it pop up on Uber Eats (new to me) so I ordered the lamb and beef meatballs with rice, lightly pickled beats, tabouli and some included arugula. Faboo! It's very fresh and a very generous portion. The optional hot sauce is not to be skipped if you like a bit of heat.“

Seated at the window with a nice view of the Embarcadero and Ferry Building. Wine was great. Service was perfect. The Hyatt next door has a bridge connecting to the restaurant entrance.“

I think I'll get that the next time I go there. This was my first time to this venue, and I definitely want to go back.“

“Perfect spot for a quick lunch. I first tried the food from Sajj in San Mateo. It was a "regular" lunch place for many at my office. Now that I occasionally work in SF, I was please to find a Sajj just a block away. Love that the food is fresh and bonus that it is full of flavor. I take advantage of ordering ahead and picking up on my schedule.“

We started with appetizers, all of them amazing, we were offered the grilled whole bass, it was amazing. Highly recommend!!! “We ordered the house combo and it was very tasty. It came with 4 meats(chicken,beef,gyro ,koftedes). All of the meat was juicy,tender and well seasoned. The rice. was fluffy ans delicious. The mixed green salad had tomatoes amd cucumber and was topped with a pickled cabbage and dressed to perfection. I only had a small bite of the pita because rhe meal was so filling. “I smelled it before I got there no always looking for “the right food cooked by the right people!” I had a bowl with chicken which I could cut with a the plastic spoon 😍 with rice and lentils very flavorful too with the Israel salad all that flavor in one bowl was the best by far! My friend who’s vegan was very satisfied had a falafel bowl which she started eating as we walked down the street! She had smashed it by the time we made to the tables at Union Square. The food delicious the portions huge and the price right! On another note when we arrived they were out of rice and of course they made me some fresh very much appreciated ❤️“

I once had a blueberry yogurt gelato in Las Vegas that was the best gelato I’ve ever had, and I’ve been trying to find something similar in the Bay Area ever since but never succeeded. “Total hidden gem in SF. It’s low key and does take out only, but don’t let that fool you, this place rivals SF’s finest establishments. I moved in a few blocks down the street and have been ordering take out almost every day as I unpack. I’ve tried the chicken hummus plate, meatball and rice plate, and the Beyran Soup. Literally each dish was 5/5 amazing. The soup was the best soup I’ve ever had in my life. Super rich flavor, but not overly salty. Just right. Honestly these folks should turn into a full fledged restaurant.“

“It's a casual place in a strip mall. The food is delicious and authentic. Folks working there are sweet. Don't go expecting elegant or fancy. It's basic more cafeteria style vibes but the food and service are great. Prices are really good too for the quality of food you get. Feels more like home style cooking.

We ordered a chicken koobideh and lamb skewer, rice and mast o khiar. It was all really good. Ordered the lamb skewer medium rare and it was perfect.

The Persian tea was really nice. A bit different with a bit more of an earl grey flavor, which I love.

Definitely going back to try the game hen and other things.

Ever since my time overseas in Europe I try and grab a gyro a few times a year and was excited this was around the corner from me here!
