“I am amazed there are not more reviews. This place is fantastic and consistently has long lunch lines. I usually have the Bun Thit Nuong (Pork Shoulder Noodle Bowl). The service is friendly and they do their best to keep things moving despite the lines. It is worth the wait. Very delicious, fresh and consistently excellent. Highly recommend!“

“Before today I was certain that there were no good Vietnamese restaurants in Marin. Then I tried Pho. What a find.
Very simple basic menu, but everything was perfect. Flavorful, fresh, generously sized, good service. Everything was right. We are talking San Francisco - San Jose level of excellence for Vietnamese food. I used to think you had to go to the City to find great Vietnamese food, But now we have it local here in San Rafael. The other Vietnamese restaurants around town can't even compare. This restaurant is now on my short list. Coming back. Five star.“

“We were craving for some pho as a hangover cure and found this place! We were seated quickly when we arrived, and the room was already full!
I ordered their imperial rolls, and the large #1 House special beef soup noodle, which comes with sliced lean beef, brisket, beef tendon, beef tripe, beef balls, and a side plate of bean sprouts, basil, jalopieno, and lemon.
The imperial rolls were just alright; they didn't have enough flavor, lacking the distinct white pepper taste. I would try their shrimp spring rolls next time!
The combination pho tasted delicious, the broth was fragrant, the noodles were cooked to the right texture, and it came loaded with meats.
The staff was attentive, the food came out quickly, and they served hot tea! On top of that, the prices were really reasonable. Highly recommended!“

“Our daughter is obsessed with soup dumplings which we found at Fusion Dumpling. The traditional pork were great, but try the black truffle and wagyu soup dumplings. You won't be disappointed!“

“It was a great experience. I like the atmosphere, food, and drinks. The waiter was very nice and helpful. They made the food exactly how I asked for it the first time. Fairly priced. I recommend the beef vermicelli with egg rolls. The durian shake was delicious and it's hard to find it at other places. 5 stars.“

“I wasn't quite sure what to expect coming to Lunette but I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with how good the meal was and will definitely be returning. I came with 2 other people at around 12:30pm on a Sunday and there was a super long line so we decided to order takeout so we wouldn't need to wait for a table to be seated but thankfully a large wooden table across the way from Lunette was open.
Items we ordered:
- KTPP - Pork Noodle Soup
- KTPP - Dry Noodle
- Loc Lak Salt + Pepper Beef
- Cha Kreung Spicy Lemongrass chicken (but no spice because the member of our party getting this dish can't handle spice)
All 4 dishes were pretty good but I think my favorite out of all of them was the Pork Noodle Soup though I thought that there were supposed to be pork rinds on top but it could have been due to the fact that we ordered ours to-go that there weren't any. The Dry noodle was interesting, I only had a bite of it but I'm more of a soup noodle type of person. Both the KTTP dishes had a bunch of black pepper which I personally loved. All of the dishes were pretty flavorful to the point of where you didn't feel like you needed additional condiments.
The price point is average for the Ferry building & SF area though the portion was a bit small. We were kind of assuming that hence ordering the 4th item to share. There were sauces also available inside which I'm not sure what they were but they were interesting in a good way because I wasn't expecting them to be sour/tangy.

“Nice in an antiseptic way for s place called Rural. Limited menu, but a nice relaxed spot between North Beach/Chinatown 1/2 way up the northeast side of Nob Hill. A nice spot to have a bowl of ramen, and a good place to catch up with someone that doesn't mind plastic menus and slurping“

“Found this Chinese small restaurant on a side street of China town no tourists anywhere, the wonton beef noodles soup was ok. The beef curry rice was excellent! Very reasonably priced with free tea. Wish I lived across from this restaurant.“

“We came here to try the bbq fried rice. They are called a dim sum cafe but people who were eating here seemed to be ordering more a la carte/entree type dishes.
It looked like your typical restaurant in the area. Nothing fancy but pretty busy. Our bbq fried rice was fresh and tasty. Simple but satisfying and reasonably priced.“
“Fast to order and deliver to the table. Young lady taking the order was efficient and kind. Lots of parking and seating. All level ground. Clean restrooms. I got the teriyaki salmon on the fried rice with veggies. Outstanding!“

“Really great clay pots with plenty of delicious crispy rice. The ox tail was also very tasty. The eel clay pot was a little wormy for some of us but still tasty. Again, the star is the crispy rice.
Has gotten somewhat popular so we had to wait quite a while. Not much room for a stroller.“

“Gorgeous dining room, fabulous location in the old military base, near the anchorage of the north tower of the Golden Gate Bridge. Food is sublime - creative, delicious, gorgeous presentation. The main dining room and adjoining bar are classy, warm and inviting. Great waiters - have been coming off and on for years. We love have lunch or drink on the large outdoor porch during the afternoons. A San Francisco/Marin County treasure of the first order. Not overly expensive and worth every dime. Our waiter last night, from Nepal, was a delight.“

“Every time we plan to go to San Francisco for a trip, my dad gets so excited about having a meal at this place because of some really good Chinese food in San Francisco. This is my dad’s cherry on top place in the city.“

“Tbk was not spicy enough, but I suspect they might have lowered the spice level to accommodate the majority customers who aren't used to the spice level.
Overall, taste was great, but the price is a bit high since you don't get that large of portion.“

“Best broth ever! I door dashed the rare steak and brisket (pho tai chin) for lunch today, it was amazing 😫 I had been feeling a little sick all day and I think this broth cured me. I want to buy the broth and just drink it. Also when it got delivered to me the broth was hot and they included plenty of toppings, some sauce, a lime slice, and utensils with a napkin. Very yummy thank you very much for the delicious meal. 😊“

“Saw this place in Instagram and pinned it to my list to go to in Chinatown.
The menu is extensive and has a little bit for everyone’s craving for the day. You know it’s a good sign when you walk in and you hear the uncs and aunties yappin. It just means this place is authentic !
The Satay Beef Noodle soup was great. It has a spice in it I can’t pinpoint, but it made it unique to any other beef noodle soup I’ve had. I was expecting a taste closer to bun bo hue, but no it’s something different. Still very tasty! The cucumbers innit was a surprise and it worked very well.
The chicken wings came out piping hot and crunchy. The chicken itself didn’t have much flavor tho.
The chow fun is something I’d order again. The beef was cooked with a Smokiness flavor to it.
This spot accepts card for payment, so I am happy that I didn’t have to pull money at an ATM. The staff is very friendly and can give recommendations“

“Delicious and large portions
No wait for Sunday night walk in
Large beef pho - yummy, too much noodle, will get smaller size with extra meat and broth next time
Vegetarian salad - sweet and sour crunch with peanuts. Refreshing!
They serve oolong tea by default. Tea was bland
Cozy interior, friendly staff 😌“

“I had the signature wun-tun noodle soup, which was quite enjoyable. The flavours were accurate, and the wontons were large. The noodles were slightly on the firmer side, but not unusual for the type of noodle. No complaints about my experience here“

“The women working there all seem so genuinely sweet and like true Asian moms lol. It was a little intimidating because they start talking to you in canto. They take cash only so don’t forget ).

“Authentic chinese food from the taishan region. If you’re looking for orange chicken, maybe keep scrolling. And the “bad service” honestly is just the charm of authentic asian dining (although still p good imo) and you know you’re here for the flavors and not for the hand-holding.“

“Food is pretty average. Not too many options nearby, so it does fulfill Thai food cravings once in a while. Little pricey for the quantity. The sauce in the pumpkin curry was way too watery! Would skip that dish! The price is certainly for the location, not for the food. For better quality and reasonable price a little drive south or even downtown San Rafael would be a better option.“
