“The matcha here is absolutely delicious. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients in their drinks, and I like how you can add extra shots of matcha if you prefer your drinks stronger. I really enjoyed the Banana Pudding Matcha Einspanner because the topping was delicious but didn't make the drink too sweet.
The seating area is small (around 3 tables) so this is a better place to get drinks to go rather than to sit at and hang out. Unfortunately there was no trash can inside the shop, so all the tables when we went were quite dirty as previous customers left their trash on the table. Not a huge problem, but definitely something to keep in mind if you plan on sitting in the shop.
Overall, this is one of the best matcha drinks I've had in the Bay Area, and I definitely will be coming back!“

“The food was delicious and the latte was amazing!
I would love to see more vegan options - maybe a burger, avocado toast, and pastry (or two). If there was a bit more variety in vegan options, I think I'd be coming here all the time.
Dietary restrictions: There are some vegan and vegetarian options
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp and button at an accessible height to open the door“

“I attended a Chemex Kenz coffee tasting and love their Hambala. Their love and passion for coffee translates in the quality of their beans. I’m glad I can also enjoy their brew at Sue’s Cafe in Downtown Saratoga.“

“Matcha lovers rejoice! For those of you who are obsessed with matcha and looking for something new to try, Izumi Matcha is the newest matcha shop on the block!
Izumi Matcha strives to bring the highest quality authentic Japanese matcha to America, providing patrons with not only matcha drinks and desserts for purchase, but also a variety of matcha good available in-store. I would go out on a limb and guess that majority of those visiting Izumi Matcha are wanting to sample their drinks or taiyaki treats, so keep in mind the lines can be quite long. Ordering is all done in-store on a self-serve kiosk and then you wait for your matcha treat to be ready and retrieve it when your number is called. Naturally, the store is busier on the weekend, but I've noticed that the 5-6pm window might be a sweet spot where the line does die down a bit (don't quote me on this as I've only been there twice).
Now onto what we tried! We ordered their matcha yuzu tea and the honey hojicha latte. The matcha yuzu pairing was a match made in heaven as the tart yuzu perfectly balances the earthy matcha for a smooth, yet refreshing drink. For those of you who want some extra matcha oomph you can also add a free extra matcha shot to your drinks! The hojicha on the other hand was a delicious not-too-sweet cup of roasted goodness. With the honey and dairy providing a smooth accompaniment for the deep roasted notes of the hojicha. I could go on and on about how good the drinks here, but honestly you should try it for yourself to really understand why so many people are flocking to Izumi Matcha. I only tried the drinks when I've been, but the taiyaki and soft serves are also extremely popular, so those will have to be on my list to try in the future!
If you're looking for the next best matcha place to try out in the Bay Area, the I highly recommend giving Izumi Matcha a try (as long as you can bear the long lines and wait, it'll be well worth it)!“

“I came here to say that this hole in the wall exceeded my expectations.
I ordered the breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese and bacon. ? I had it with their homemade style biscuit and it held its shape; not too buttery.
Eating the eggs was like eating fluffy clouds. The texture of the breakfast sandwich dissolved into my mouth and it helped that the Pumpkin Pie oat latte wasn’t acidic or too bitter or lacked espresso so sip, don’t gulp because you want to take your time.
The ratio of coffee to Oatmilk was equally proportional. One can actually taste every sip, reminiscent of a fond fall memory in your mouth. ??
Sadly..there are no pictures but in many ways I felt like I was truly present enjoying the experience. I can tell the workers also cared about their work; all were friendly and kept the place nice and clean.
Thank youuuu!!! I’m coming back and I live in Berkeley where all their cafes are hard to beat. But this takes the prize in San Carlos.“

“I came to San Jose and tried the iced mint mojito for the first time, and it was surprisingly to my taste. I went there three days in a row while I was in San Jose, just to drink this. The atmosphere of the Philz Coffee shop was nice, and most importantly, there was a white female employee working there, and she was very kind. She even gave me a salmon sticker.“

“Bean Scene Coffee – A Timeless Favorite I’ve been coming to Bean Scene Coffee since 2005, and even after moving out of the area, I still make a point to stop by whenever I can. This place has always had a special charm—great coffee, a welcoming atmosphere, and some of the best food around. My go-to orders are the Portobello Mushroom Sandwich and the Lox on a Bagel—both consistently delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The flavors are well-balanced, and the quality has remained top-notch over the years. There’s something comforting about returning to a spot that still feels like home, no matter how much time has passed. Bean Scene Coffee continues to be a favorite, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food, coffee, and a cozy vibe.“
“This beautifully crafted coffee shop is part of the Apple Park Visitor Center. It serves Italian coffee along with a selection of sandwiches and sweets. While the coffee and food are fairly standard, the atmosphere makes it a standout. It’s a great spot to relax and catch up with family or friends in a sleek, modern setting.“

“A hidden gem! The coffee is good, but I keep coming back for the bacon, egg croissant. One of the few places with bacon in every bite and not just two anemic pieces. The price of the sandwich is approaching McDonald's, but the quality is 1000% better! Such a great deal for breakfast!“

“You can tell when you walk in that this is a well-established fixture in Palo Alto. The breakfast menu is limited, but the food is made fresh and the ingredients were whole and healthy. And the coffee is very good, which makes sense since they advertise coffee from around the world and have a big roaster sitting off to the side.
The veggie omelet had a good number of veggies and was accompanied by a bagel and a cup of fruit. Although I was hungry I couldn't finish it all. They are generous with the coffee, and I also needed a to go cup for that. The seasoning on the omelet was pretty tame, but they provide salt and pepper, along with Tapatio got sauce to spice it up for those who like a little more flavor.
The counter service was courteous, and attentive, and our orders were correct.“

“I’ve been to many coffee shops, but none come close to the warmth and energy of the baristas at Philz. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with genuine smiles and an uplifting atmosphere that sets the tone for your whole day. The baristas here don’t just make coffee — they go out of their way to ensure your drink is exactly how you like it, often exceeding expectations.
What truly stands out is how consistently kind, cheerful, and attentive they are. It’s rare to find a team that takes this much pride in creating not only a great cup of coffee but also a positive customer experience. A special thank you to all of the Philz baristas for smiling and making every visit a little brighter. You make great coffee — but even better, you make people feel good.“

“Philz is always great and friendly. Unlike other coffee shops in the area, plenty of large tables for working are available. Many have outlets. The music is always great and I regularly Shazam songs playing on the speakers. The back (street facing) patio has a nice set of tables if you like to work outside.“

“Food is absolutely amazing. The breakfast sandwich is to die for, and their Kouign-amann is the best I've ever had. The store is adorable and doesn't have hipsters on laptops camping out in it. Service is quick and very kind. Best bakery I've ever been to.“

“Tried around 90% of the milk tea here. My number one recommendation would be da hong pao milk tea (10/10). My number two recommendation would be the ceylon milk tea (9.5/10; tea flavor could be stronger). They both have really intense flavor and aromatic profiles in their milk teas, and it is very evident by the taste.
Definitely add cheese phone for any milk tea drink.
The white champaca milk tea with pistachio cheese foam was… okay. The flavor was not intense, but rather mellow. I like the floral taste of the tea.
The umami and savoriness of the cheese foam is a must have addition.
FINAL REMARKS: definitely the best milk tea place (if not, one of the best) you can find in the Bay Area that infuse that much tea leaves in their drinks.
Would definitely come back again!“

“Lots of bright, natural lighting. Big open space with lots of seating with access to power outlets. Clean. Three individual all-gender bathrooms. Friendly staff. Drinks come out perfect every time. Good place to work. Some people take personal and work calls though, so I recommend bringing noise canceling headphones if that bothers you.“

“The owner runs a great business and the staff is wonderful. Thank you.I double checked and you are correct. I have the wrong location. It’s the new store front under construction at the corner on the left side of the arch. I was upset and didn’t clarify I had the right business. A mistake I hope I can rectify with a new 5 star review“

“Cam Hung is a true gem for those seeking authentic Vietnamese flavors made with care and freshness. The aroma of freshly baked banh mi bread, I just couldn’t wait to take a bite into their crispy-yet-airy baguettes is a delight. But the real standout for me is their banh cuon, steamed rice rolls that are light, delicate, and packed with savory fillings. If you love Vietnamese food made fresh, Cam Hung is a must-try!“

“Starbucks has good AND inexpensive ☕ if you bring a mug! It's $0.50 for refill ☕ at the Stanford University Starbucks if you bring your own mug AND the customers and staff are exceptionally charming! Get here early though! The trail from Los Altos to Stanford University through the back of Gunn High School is exceptionally therapeutic and the Starbucks ☕ at Stanford University definitely tastes better than other Starbucks, and everyone so far is AWESOME! I normally avoid Starbucks but the Stanford University Starbucks is on par with the Narita Airport Starbucks in my opinion for service and charm. ☕☕☕☕☕☕❤️“

“Ordered on Doordash and my croque monsieur was just about ready when we arrived. It gave me time to order an americano and matcha latte. Spent about $30 for everything. The sandwich is packed generously with ham and the cheese was done to perfection as a crust on top. My husband and I demolished it before we got to Ikea. Coffee is well done. The cafe itself is decorated well and a great spot to do some work or chat. The lady/owner? Was very nice and patient while trying to decide on my drinks.“
