“I don't get time to myself at all, so when I did last night, I wanted to try this place because I have had it bookmarked for some time and I was craving Nashville hot chicken. I thought this was on Kooser and Blossom, but it's on Kooser and Camden, so just FYI. Located in a small parking lot (liquor store and a nail salon, I believe). I had to park illegally otherwise I wouldn't know where to park. They have a kiosk. You just place your order, pay, and wait for your number to be called. If you include your phone number, you will get a text when your meal is ready, too. I ordered their #1 (sliders w/ fries). I used to test myself by ordering the spiciest, but since I am older I am aware I need to play it safe, so I would not hurt myself. I ordered the medium spicy (def not spicy), so I would order HOT next time. The chicken was tender, not dry.. I loved the crinkle cut fries. Barely any coleslaw, but the thick slices of pickles gave it that crunchy tartiness texture to the dry rub! The JoJo sauce was delicious and creamy. For the first time I did not check emails. I did exactly what I wanted to do; decluttered my home, setup my Buddhist alter, and finished 2 Netflix series (The Watcher and Devil in Ohio). I am going to try and finish Midnight Mass before returning to work Tuesday. I also plan to take Friday off to hangout w/ Gavin. The work will be there, Gavin will turn 13 next year; I will never be able to get the time back. But the point I was trying to make is.. go out and try a new spot! Go and knock off a bookmark! Explore! What a perfect way to end 2023 w/ this review. Not new year, new me but I need to center my energy on me for once. I am not going to put myself on the back burner anymore. Come here to get your Nashville hot chicken!!! Happy New Year, fellow Yelpettes!!! SYOY!So grateful for everything.“
“I love this place. The food is crazy delicious! I recommend to order wings and Ttokbokki. The employees are always nice and friendly. However, I have to wait at least 30-40 mins to get the food. Besides that, I highly recommend this place. Also it’s easy to park“
“We went to Scratch Cookery late on a Friday, and it was pretty packed. The line to order was a bit of a mess, but the food looked worth it.After getting a couple chicken sandwiches, I can confirm that the food was worth it. I went pretty conservative on the spice level (0 for one sandwich, and 1 for the other). I’d probably bump it up next time.A nice addition to the spicy sandwiches is the ability to use the packets of provided honey to make the sandwiches a sweet and savory combo. It was pretty nice.My one complaint is the fries. They were pretty bland and unremarkable.“
“This is my favorite chicken and rice restaurant! I love that they have the option of half and half and I love getting half grilled and half hainan chicken. The service is fast and efficient. Will always come back if I'm ever craving chicken and rice.“
“One of my favorite late night chicken places to go to! The workers are always super friendly and offer great suggestions. The place is fairly chill and you can either eat inside or sit on some of the outdoor seating. I had the combo fried and boiled chicken. The fried chicken had a nice crunch with every bite. The boiled chicken is fairly plain but it comes with a sauce that gives it a kick (it also comes with some chicken soup that you can let the boil chicken soak in for some more flavor). We were suggested the new garlic chicken wings( I believe it was $15) appetizer and can say it did not disappoint. I wouldn't mind ordering the garlic chicken wings if it was a rice plate!“
“Great chicken sandwiches. Tried the medium and hot spice levels. For me, the medium is tasty, but a little like, “where’s the ‘hot’ in Dave’s Hot Chicken?” The hot is like, “oh, there it is.” They’re both good. Perfect for me would be something right in between. For now, I’ll switch back and forth depending on sweaty I feel like getting.Definitely recommend.“
“OMG this place is just jaw dropping. The food is good and the robotic server is just state of the art. You order on the kiosk when you enter the restaurant and pay once you've completed your order. Then sit and within minutes your order is delivered to you via a robotic waiter. And the food is just so good as well. I highly recommend everyone to come and see what the future holds and the food will not disappoint. Amazing that's all I can say. Its worth the time to come here and see and taste the future of the restaurant industry. It's just jaw dropping to me. Good job Vons!!!!@“
“The food girl??? The food?? Omg the food is so good ugh. The salads are immaculate. You can't go wrong with their chicken chop salad, it's my go to fr. And it is so filling ‼‼ everything from there is filling. Basically, you get good tasting good quality food, for a good price and in a short amount of time. And I mean a short amount of time, I typically order a salad and tenders for me and a friend and it takes maybe 7ish minutes for the order to be ready. This place is easily my favorite chain. Also if u get the salad I recommend taking the chicken out then putting in the sauce and shaking the bowl. Then you have more room when shaking the bowl for the sauce to get all over the salad and if you can't finish it all then your chicken won't be as soggy. 10/10 highly recommend“
“Ordered combo #3. First time in, a lot of door dash going on. All the tables were full. Service was polite and quick. A little loud, just a big room, it echoes a bit, you can hear a lot of the conversations around your table. Pretty tasty, hot moist chicken, had one medium and one hot spice. Good kick, very edible.“
“Juicy tasty chicken definitely better then Dave's hot or angry chickenzThe slaw and Pickles are perfect with it. Just wish they had more drink options or other options then just the 2 sandwiches. But heybthey make em delicious and they are open late so I'm down“
“Great chicken I like the crunch chicken and the kimchi rice and soduc the shrimp is pretty good it's never crowded when I go and I think it's because they are located in the back and the front of the place hasn't opened for business so people might think it's closed but it does have good food“
“I've had 99 Chicken a few times, YEARS AND YEARS ago!! Prior to today's visit, I've only had it via takeout. TBH, I wasn't ever really blown away by the food or quality. The only thing that stuck out from my visits was the salad bar open to dine-in customers- generous on the owner's part. After a fun filled morning in Santa Clara, I made the decision to stop by here and give 99 Chicken another go. Our family and I walked in for lunch and were immediately seated after confirming our party size. The menu is pretty straightforward. Each meal offered consists of 10pc chicken and you decide on what sauce(s) you'd like. There are 6 sauces available on top of the original [naked]: Spicy, Sauce, Honey, Honey Garlic, Soy Sauce, & Korean. Additional 5pc orders are available for an additional cost. If you are indecisive like myself or would prefer an assortment of flavors, order #5 or 8 is the way to go. Lunch for us 2 adults, 1 toddler ended up being the Combination Chicken. Between our 10pc chicken we are given 4 different sauces [one being naked]. Food: The chicken is served fresh and oh so very HOT! Every piece was thoroughly cooked- still very moist inside and contained a nice crunch at its exterior. The original [naked] could have used some flavoring [or maybe some ketchup!!] and the spicy sauce vs sauce tasted the same without any bit of heat. Honey was my favorite of the 4 variations provided in the combination. Salad bar isn't anything overly exciting but you can't beat that FREE.99 cost. Pickled radish cubes are the only things I ate but there are leafy greens, broccoli, and jalapeños provided. Rice is also complimentary so the business asks that you are mindful in only taking whatever you can consume. 3.5 overall. Staff could be a bit more welcoming as opposed to just being very dry and short but I bumped the rating to a 4 just because 99 Chicken is so generous with the complimentary salad bar.“
“by far the best chicken fried sandwich I ever had I went with the spicy not the death or Mega death sando, should have went with the mild or medium I was dying and I can eat some spicy stuff they're literally was 2 entire chicken breasts on this sandwich when I tell you you get your money's worth, you get your money's worth totally amazing coach to buy a chicken fried sandwich and waffle fries!“
“Angry Chicken on Berryessa Rd in San Jose delivers a delightful dining experience. The Korean fried chicken is crispy and flavorful, and the variety of sauces adds an extra kick to every bite. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant visit. The cozy ambiance makes it a great spot for casual gatherings. Highly recommended for chicken lovers!“
“Come here frequently it's usually good if you come before they close the chicken won't be good come around 2:30 it's freshest. If you get the older Indian man at cashier or the short Indian woman with the pretty eyes then you've won those are the best cashiers you don't have to repeat yourself. One time came here with a friend and while it was busy and they forgot my order so after 30 mins I asked where it was and they said I got it already but I never did. They refused to give me my food and I had to pay twice for the 6 piece tender which is not cheap. Other than that bad experience all my other visit have been perfect they usually give you like an extra piece if your nice. Nowhere to sit and eat your chicken but the area is nice.“
“This would be my go-to spot for korean kfc if it wasn't so far from me. They have both wings style and also whole chicken. I prefer wings and yang nyum sauce but their original chicken is also very good. Soju and beer are served and the owner Peter and his staff tend very well to customers. Radishes cost extra, their chicken to-go still tastes divine and hits the spot for those cravings. Their tteokboki and sausage on sticks are delicious and tteokboki are crisp and served on skewers. Highly recommend!“
“Food: The portion of the chicken was HUGEE, juicy and tender, thus the price is high. I ordered the Original Chick N sandwich that come with coleslaw They only serve to-go orders with no seating and food came out in reasonable time Cons: the only down size of this food truck is that you have to check for their schedule and location since they do not always park in one specific spot. You can also call them to confirm before heading out“
“It's okay. Not my favorite, but not bad. Parking lot is awful though, so I don't bother getting food here except delivery. I've seen people park in the adjacent lot and walk over, which is probably less of a hassle than trying to park in the tiny spots. The fries are better than expected.Update: after a few years, this place has grown on me. They've improved their menu a lot too. A solid "Sunday chicken spot" as a fallback when the real thing is closed.“
“came in today for the first time to try their fried chicken. Had the Really Garlic Chicken combo and have to say it was crazy delicious. Service was very friendly and the interior is clean and modern. Will definitely return to try other flavors of their chicken.“
“The spicy fried chicken is one of the best I've tasted, the original is overly salty. So one has to know what to order to get good items from this franchise. Their version of MacDs apple pie is another good item to try. It has mango and adds a tropical touch to the dessert.“
“The food is great with the loaded mac and cheese it comes with chicken, fries and of course Mac n cheese with its spicy sauce now for a first time I recommend medium spice for the first time, Great customer service here plus one of the workers gave me extra sauce, I recommend Angry chicks to anyone looking for great food and customer service.“
“I have NEVER tasted chicken tenders as awesome as the ones I had at this Popeye's! Enormous portion - I ate lunch here & was so full I didn't need to eat until the next day! When I am back in this area i will make it a point to eat here again!“
“I love that Pollo Campero is San Jose we now don't have to drive to SF. The only downside is that there is never any parking. The handicap parking is taken by the Doordash or Uber drivers that mind you don't have a handicap plac. The Digital Kitchen should a designated area on the side for them to park and shoot the breeze. Most of us want to park and get our food lots of time we end up parking pretty far.“
“If you like chicken wings, and chicken tenders, this is definitely the place for you. All the food here is pretty much delicious, but it's the go-to. Don't waste your time going to Wingstop or Buffalo Wild Wings, this place will definitely be a better price and you get more for your money.Vegetarian options: There's not a lot, but they do have some salads and fries.“
“I love Local Kitchens and Proposition Chicken is one of our go-to places to order from.Fries are crispy and tasty and our kids love the chicken strips - frankly, I quite enjoy them also :)It's always consistent, crispy and super comforting.“
