“I’m from out of state. A group of us travel several times a year and have tried many restaurants. We always try to go to restaurants we wouldn’t have at home. This was by far the best. The homemade French press hot tea, Bloody Mary, rice and beans, cabbage rolls, caeser salad and turkey lentil soup. I can’t say enough about the owner and food. Give them a try!“

“This was a great little place to eat at. Prices were a bit steep, but the food tasted great, and the service was spot on. The burgers are huge! The one negative comment was that the fries were a bit overcooked. Our server was friendly and anticipated our every need. Highly recommend this place!“

“Everything at Smalley’s has a feel of home cooking. The portion sizes are just right. We ordered the prime rib and it was a good size. I would have enjoyed a bit more flavor in the prime rib but the texture and tenderness was on point. I really enjoyed how friendly the staff were. I’m from out of town but come to Salina’s often. I’ll come back to try other main courses for sure! My 10yo daughter enjoyed the 8 oz ribeye.“

“First time for me here. Stacey (I apologize if im spelling it wrong) greeted me with a very warm welcome and honestly if I had time, I'd probably dined in. I ordered the soy garlic fried chicken and I fell in love with it. Chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Each bite just oozing with flavor. The perfect food you like to eat after a long day of work. I will come back for more! Definitely a hidden gem that needs to be discovered by many.“

“I had one of the best 떡만두국, Ricecake and Dumping soup. Wow, it was so delicious. The soup had the authentic Korean Dumping taste. The side dishes were also so good. I wish I had found this restaurant like 3 days ago. We were just visiting and was on our way up to SF today. So sad. Maybe next time we visit here again.“

“Super tasty Korean meat heavy dishes. The short ribs are out of this world. The spicy chicken is flavorful and quite spicy, a rarity around Monterey. I also got the squid tentacles which were large and meaty unlike other calamari. Great experience“

“I love this place. $15 dollars gets you a really long way. I get a plate of bbq beef. Massive portion of beef, rice, pasta salad, and cabbage.It can quickly add up, but the portions are quite good. Unsure if you can tell from the order receipt, but this whole order, short of a spring roll I had already devoured, came to $51.The service is good, especially as the cashier noticed by partner picking spam for our musubis.. and upon noticing my expression, he was quick to assure me that you can pick and mix between their three meat choices.The location isn't typically filled with a lot of people and, at least for my own experiences, is fairly quiet and peaceful as you wait for your order to be called.Unfortunately, the food can sometimes take longer than you'd like as you find yourself making contact with others who are awkwardly looking around to keep themselves busy... but that's all that's wrong from my prospective.
