“Feb 3rd 2026 this was my first time trying this place, and honestly I’m glad I gave it a try! The space is very clean, welcoming, well decorated, and beautifully colored. The seating plan is well thought out and the music added a captivating energy to the atmosphere of the place. The service is also top. The man who helped me and all the other several customers during my visit here was super kind and it was easy to tell that he had a lot of pride in the place and lit up everyone’s day with his kind energy. He even went out of his way to help me connect to the Wi-Fi, which this is isn’t really the place to do work I noticed, but he was still very kind enough to help me connect which I was very appreciative of. He has a great relationship with all of the regulars too. Throughout my time dining in, I probably saw about 10 regulars and everyone of them were happy to see the man. From their interactions, I was able to tell that there is a genuine relationship between the customers and the man as he greeted each one of them with great energy and enthusiasm. It was all smiles. He was like this with other customers as well, who didn’t seem to be regulars. Oh yeah I forgot to talk about the food! If you are wondering if I recommend the food, I highly recommend! I had the falafel plate and added a side salad. It hit the spot! I wanted to try something else on the menu so I then asked for a bowl of the chicken soup… it came with a lemon wedge and pieces of pita bread. This dish also hit the spot! It was delicious… I will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu, especially different kebabs and gyros. If you are considering giving this place a try, I would say you will not be disappointed at all. 100% guarantee this place will satisfy not only your appetite, but will also leave all other senses elevated from the uplifting vibes of the restaurant. “I had the Super Burrito with steak, and it was absolutely amazing — way better than any chain burrito out there. The flavor, the freshness, and the size (easily as big as my forearm!) made it a meal to remember. The salsa on the side was fantastic, too — just the right kick without overpowering the burrito. My only regret? Finding this place too late in my trip to go back again. Don’t miss it!“

“We were disappointed with our previous favorite Sichuan restaurant on our second visit there. We found this Michelin recommended restaurant as a replacement. We were very impressed. The quality was on par with the best restaurants in Asia, which is a rarity in the US. The beautifully photographed menu made item selection easy. The veggies even turned out better than the picture in the menu. They truly deserve all those awards on their wall. We will make it our regular chinese restaurant from now on.

“My son has been raving about the Sweet & Sour Fish at the restaurant. So we went there while we were visiting him and his fiancé. The fish were nicely fried, crunchy, coated with the traditional Chinese restaurant sweet and sour source. I thought if the fish were in smaller pieces, it would be better. We also order a few other dishes and they were decent. We ordered the beef tendon and they gave us like 2 lbs of them. Came to find out that it was charged by the pound. They should have asked us how much do we want. That said, at the end of the day, every thing was good and we would go back.“

Ordered snack combo and came back to get their tofu snack, freshly fried soft tofu so it’s piping hot and good with some sauces

Not to mention the employee here are very nice, the lady working the cashier kept offering if there’s anything else I needed when I eat in the store but had to bring some leftover to go with a Togo bag, even opening the bag and tried to bag it for me. That’s beyond boba shop level customer service 😆“

“Everyone is really nice and food is consistent; however, this is the only location I have been to that has never had a mobile order ready. It's like they see it for the first time when it's puck up time which is often set at 20 minutes at the minimum“

“This place has very tasty and authentic Hong Kong style food, even though it’s name makes you think it’s Vietnamese. In particular, the breakfast sets are a good deal. One of the sets that I like in particular includes a big bowl of rice porridge and rice rolls or steamed Chinese greens. If you pay one dollar more, you can get a Hong Kong style milk tea. All for around 13 or $14 dollars. You have to come before 11 AM. What I really like about the food here is that they don’t overwhelm the flavor with spices. Most dishes have very little or no salt and even the sugar is moderate in the Hong Kong milk tea. So basically this place seems very healthy. And if you need more soy sauce or salt or pepper or whatever you can add your own.“

“My favorite dessert spot ever. You will have to see the amount of points in my reward account to understand my love for this store. Whenever I walked in the store, the coconut milk fragrance brought me right back to Vietnam. Chè is my fav dessert, so I am so happy that this store make chè in a pretty authentic way to make me feel less homesick.

This exact Bambu in Milbrae is my fav. I think they make the dessert better than the other location near Stonestown Galleria in SF. My go-to order is number 10 Bambu Special or something like that. The chewy pandan jelly and the red water chestnut jelly in number 10 is the best combo 🤤🤤“

“We had one of the best experiences last night. Tim our waiter was one of the best we have had. He was able to find Sprite Zero for my wife's drink. He also delivered a warm chocolate chip cookie with a small scoop of ice cream for my wife even though it wasn't in the menu. His ability to go above the call of duty and not just say no I can't get that for you was so amazing it had to make sure it is recognized. Exceptional service needs to be acknowledge and rewarded. Keep in mind this is Chinese restaurant so it’s totally okay to just raise your hand to tell them what you want. Don’t let the service stop you from trying the food here!“
