“Rustic bar with some fun theming. Love the exposed brick and old timey paintings on the wall. Great speedy service- order at the bar. We tried their seasonal cocktails- the Christmas menu is still on as of Jan. The drinks were good- espresso martini was a bit too sweet. Would recommend the fruity options than creamy. The cocktails were not super memorable but love the variety offered for all liquor types: Whiskey, vodka, rum, etc. Standard bar bites and some IPAs/beers on tap.

No wait at 7pm on weeknights. Little dark makes reading the menu a bit tough- would be great to have some lamps around. Good for small groups or couples.“

“Been hitting Normandy House a few weeks while on a temp gig in Santa Clara—in from cowboy country where a solid where a still shot is sometimes mandatory after a long day.

The Pareto thing always cracks me up: 20% of people do 80% of the work, and 80% of the gripes come from the other 20% like some clown reviews here. But everybody here has been super cool to this out-of-towner.

Trin especially—she makes a killer Long Island, best around and always keeps things chill.

Great spot, 5 stars easy. Gonna miss it when I head home.“

“Cool place, it was my first time here with friends. It's a local in Fremont close to home. My friend one of them had beer and the other one and myself had water. We were treated very well. We didn't order any food as we came here after dinner. We played darts and enjoyed the DJ music and left before midnight. I might go again to this place. There are pool tables and other games to play and engage with friends or dance on the floor. The cool vibe and servers are very friendly and helpful with the service.

Parking: Less parking spots but the ones are there, they are free.“

“MONDAY FOOD REVIEW...PUESTO...6/17/24! After leaving California's Great America, we stopped for lunch at Puesto, a Mexican/American restaurant, located at 2752 Augustine Dr., in Santa Clara. This restaurant features Mexican dishes with an American flare infusion! I had their their Shrimp a la Plancha, which is Mexican shrimp, garlic butter, red onions, jalapeños, guajillo chile, avocado, and Tamarindo-chile sauce, and it comes with herb lime rice, black beans, and blue corn tortillas. This was absolutely fabulous!!! It wasn't your typical Mexican dish...the different ingredients they used to create this dish all blended together VERY well!!! If you are looking for a little something different to satisfy your Mexican food craving, and want some added flair, then this is THE restaurant to go to!!! I HIGHLY recommend it!!!! Tucked away on Post north of First St., without obvious signage, The Club can be hard to find, but is worth the search. The craft cocktails were creative, interesting, and delicious. The Kale salad was a large serving, with a tasty house made dressing and a variety of fresh ingredients. The Short Ribs are were tender moist and delicious, served over a small serving of parsnip purée. My seafood pasta was deliciously sauced with generous portions of shrimp and salmon, though a little more pasta would have been nice. Crème Brûlée was delicious. Prices are moderate, appropriate for quality. Service was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful,. Decor is minimalist but tasteful. Overall very enjoyable, a good time was has by all!“

“We visited with friends and ordered Tandoori Veg Momo, Avocado Chaat, Garlic Naan, and Butter Chicken. The Tandoori Momo tasted rich and fresh. The Garlic Naan came soft and had a unique flavor. Everything arrived hot and well prepared. We plan to return soon with our office team.“

Brunch at Eos & Nyx was such a treat. Every dish felt thoughtful and well-balanced, and it’s clear the kitchen really cares about how flavors and textures come together.

I started with the Deviled Eggs (smoked salmon, trout roe, allium) and they were a perfect opener. The filling was silky with a subtle smoky richness from the salmon, and the trout roe added these fun little pops of briny flavor. The fried onions brought just the right crunch to tie everything together.

I had a mini drink adventure next. The server kindly brought me a sample of the Peanut Butter & Jelly Time, which truly tasted exactly like peanut butter and jelly (impressive, but a full glass might have been too much for me!). I ended up ordering Trix Aren’t For Kids (gin, trix, rice milk, ginger, passionfruit, cream, lemon, egg white) and it was fantastic—smooth, bright, slightly creamy, and surprisingly easy to drink.

For my main I had the Stuffed French Toast (lemon mousse, billionaire’s bacon, infused maple, cinnamon, sugar). The toast itself was incredibly light and fluffy with just the right level of sweetness. The lemon mousse added a bright, creamy lift that balanced everything nicely. And the billionaire’s bacon created that perfect sweet-and-savory combo. The flavors were so good on their own that I barely needed the maple syrup.

My only small critique: the butter pad was frozen rather than softened, so it didn’t spread or melt the way you’d hope on warm French toast. A tiny detail, but one that would elevate an already great dish.

Service was friendly and attentive, and overall the meal felt worth the price (about $71 with a 25% tip). The only other note is that the music inside was pretty loud—great energy if you’re brunching with friends, but maybe a bit much if you’re hoping to quietly read while you eat like I was.

Overall, another great experience at Eos & Nyx. Their dinners are already standout, and brunch definitely holds its own. I’d happily come back and order the exact same thing again.“

One thing that sets Vpho apart is that they don't cram their tables together like some other Asian restaurants, so you have plenty of space to relax and enjoy your meal. Plus, there's lots of parking available, which makes getting there easy. The restaurant itself is clean and well-kept, which adds to the pleasant dining experience. I tried the Chicken Wing with mild spicy sauce, and it was surprisingly good—tender and flavorful. The Beef Bone Pho was outstanding; the meat practically fell off the bone, and the soup was warm and yummy—perfect for a chilly day. Although I didn't try it this time, they have a cocktail menu, which sounds intriguing for my next visit. The restroom is nicely remodeled, but it could be cleaner, which is something they might want to improve. “2nd time here. First time was for brunch and we enjoyed the food, had most dishes from the menu to share. Last Saturday was dinner. The ambience is so beautiful at night, big fireplace, just enough light inside the restaurant to relax and enjoy a good and relaxing meal, no rush. We had champagne, very good beer that smelled a little floral. We loved crispy quinoa tuna poke so much last time so we ordered it again, still enjoyed it a lot. We had Wood fired Branzino, wood fired eggplants, olive focaccia was excellent, solf crust outside and fluffy inside, delicious. Chickpea fritter and mango sticky rice with coconut cloud. “I discovered the place by accident. I was next door inside Michaels having some art pieces custom framed when I decided to look for a place to stop by to eat. I was starving. I was craving for pasta. And thats how I got to discover this place. I ordered the chicken fettucine alfredo. Love the dish with its chunky chicken pieces and al dente pasta. The complimentary cheese sticks with that cheese pimiento cheese spread was a delightful surprise. Next time Ill check their lasagna and clam chowder. I heard their clam chowder is as good as Boulins in San Francisco. I dont have to make a drive to the city to enjoy a good bowl of chowder. The lasagna looks so rich as well as their chopino.
