“We had Omakase with sake pairing. The dishes were great from the beginning to the end. For me, I enjoyed all of the dishes. Chef Scott was professional, attentive, and friendly. He explained dish in detail clearly. The service was impeccable. The ambiance was perfect! Great experience overall! I can't wait to come back next season to see what chef Scott come up with.“

“Great food, great service, and an amazing rooftop dining area when the weather is right! We've been numerous times - pretty much anytime we're visiting SB. It's a perfect spot for couples or small groups of friends. And, while the menu is seafood/sushi heavy (great for us!) there are plenty of other options for the vegetarians and non-seafood folks in your group.We always aim to try a few new items whenever we visit, but our favorites continue to be the Crispy Korean Cauliflower, Crispy Tuna Nigiri, and our all-time favorite - the Seared Yellowtail Box Roll!“

“We went and got a variety of specialty rolls and one of the specials (seared yellow tail with jalapeño). We also got the spicy edamame as a start and it was fantastic! I liked the variety and the rolls were great. My one complaint was that the spicy (fiery roll) wasn't very spicy! I could have used more spice in the spicier rolls but I added wasabi and it was delicious.“

“Literally our favorite restaurant anywhere, anytime. Amazing staff (Chef Sean and team) with incredibly inventive, creative,, fresh, fantastic sushi. We’ve been to this location at least a dozen times and never once left disappointed. With only ten seats, it a very personalized and unique experience. And somehow it never gets old. Absolutely the best.“

“Some of the best sushi I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. Pro tip: Sit at the bar and watch as the chefs freshly prepare your meal. The flavors are truly out of this world. “Excellent Japanese food option while in SB. Reasonably priced, food came out quick, wait staff was attentive, and the outdoor seating area was comfortable and nice. We ordered a 2 item bento and about 5 rolls. The only weird thing was it's the first time in my 40+ years where I had to cut my own steak and chicken at a Japanese restaurant. In any part of the world. Japan, US, etc. Not a deal breaker, because it still tasted good.“

“Had dinner here last night, and was completely impressed! I wanted just about everything on their menu, which offers all sorts of options. The entire menu felt healthy and fresh, with lots of fresh salads. I ordered the green salad, which had a peanut dressing instead of the traditional carrot miso dressing, and it was lovely and fresh, with papaya and tomato on top. We ordered shrimp tempura rolls which were perfectly lightly crispy on the outside, not overly battered. The yellowtail sushi was fresh and delicious. The miso soup had a much nicer "umami" flavor than any other I've had in town. And to finish it off, we had freshly made Japanese donuts, served piping hot - ahmazing! Overall, the best sushi dinner I've had in Santa Barbara so far. Five stars, and we'll be back soon!“

“Who doesn't love some great Hibachi? Literally a dinner and a show! Although I don't come here often it is always a nice treat as they serve some amazing friend rice. The service is great for the chaos that Hibachi can be and the wait is always worthwhile in my opinion.“

“Decent mid-priced sushi restaurant. Service was a little spotty, but I went early in the evening. The sashimi dinner was a GENEROUS portion of fish. Almost two much to handle! Had to ask for regular (rather than low-sodium) soy sauce, which was a little odd. But I like it! The uni and salmon row was also fantastic.“

“This is a nice traditional Japanese restaurant located at the high traffic corner of las positas and state. There is ample parking in their free lot. The food is decent. I usually just get sushi when I go. I prefer the shrimp tempura and the Hawaiian roll. One cool aspect is having dinner in one of the rooms. They are better than some of the other rolls I've tried. All in all I think there are better sushi options in town. This one is just ok. I love sushi, but I don't come here very often.“
