Although I was only 18-19, Compagno’s established my standard for an amazing sandwich. 32 years later I brought my sons here for lunch. Same delicious goodness a generation later.“

It’s a chill and more relaxed venue which was exactly what we needed for lunch. The staff were super attentive and frequently checked on us and asked if we needed anything. I noticed it was a one man show. He was super sweet to gifting us free bakalavas for the wait time. I lovedddddd the walnut and the apple cinnamon. I ended up buying 20 pieces for my drive home! I got the falafel and baba plate with the spicy lemonade. It was super tasty. What I love about his one man show, is the dedication to this place, his love of food. It is not your typical fast food culture, it is a come sit, talk, stay awhile, enjoy this food and good company kind of vibe.“

“Atmosphere: 10/10 - service was amazing and food was tasty. I had the fish and chips and my partner had the burger. The cod was very flaky and cooked just right. My partners burger was delicious and bigger than we expected. We will definitely be back when we’re in town again and would recommend!“

“We have been going to Heirloom Pizza a few times a year for a while now and have always enjoyed great food and good service. This was until last night. The food was still delicious and the server was good. That was the limit of a good experience. The hostess had a look that we were bothering her by wanting to eat there. We arrived about 7pm and they were busy, but it only took about 10 minutes to be seated. We ordered fairly quickly and then waited for over 50 minutes to have an appetizer to reach our table and another 25 minutes for our main dish. By the time we received our appetizer the restaurant had only 5-6 tables with people still sitting. We understand that it takes a little longer for a deep dish pizza, but well over an hour in unacceptable. In the 50 minutes we saw no less than a dozen or so orders go out the door for pickup orders. I understand they sell pizza and there is likely a large amount of business that doesn't come an stay to eat, but we felt forgotten. If we choose to go back, maybe we should order before arriving.“

“Stopped in for lunch as we were walking around the downtown area. Clean, aesthetic atmosphere. Incredibly delicious burgers. Everyone in our party of six chose a different option. I had the Sur mushroom burger, absolutely delicious. Another in our party got the Phoenix Chicken Sandwich, incredibly spicy and yummy with a family recipe of hot coleslaw that was amazing, but definitely not for an amateur palette. Be prepared for the level of heat lol. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend for a great family lunch spot.The fries and mozzarella sticks were so delicious as well.“

“All around great place to eat for good fresh sushi. The sushi was very good and very reasonably priced. The service was very good as well, someone was checking on us every few minutes for picking up dirty plates, trash, etc. pretty cool inside, not too loud with the sushi bar in the back. We had a little mix up with my food but they took care of it no problem. My only semi complaint is they mix a lot of types of fish on the specialty rolls so if you have any allergy concerns just be careful and substitute the right stuff if possible. Highly recommend.“

“I have loved Ikes sandwiches since my first taste a couple of years ago. Fresh, innovative and delicious...what's more to like? This visit to the Monterey location was beyond exceptional exceptional. We were visiting with a group of students and ordered 35 sandwiches from Ikes on Door dash. After hitting the Pay button, we realized that the time for the order to be ready suddenly changed from 30 minutes to over 3 hours. We needed to hop back on a bus in 2 hours, so this was definitely not going to work for us. The Doordash bot was no help so we panic-called the store. Unbelievably, they had our HUGE order ready to go in an hour. And, all of the orders were correct! The hungry students were all full and happy! We were blown away by this feat of customer service. Ikes is truly the best. You have a customer for life, Ikes!“
