“Every time my girlfriend and I come here we get the absolute best service, the food is just spectacular and so authentic and always fresh. Literally the best salmon sashimi I have ever had. Aside from that, it's just so cozy and inviting and everybody is so friendly, oh and the portions are monstrous! You will love this place if you love authentic Japanese and Chinese food!“

“Tatsu Sushi is hands down my favorite sushi spot in the Bay Area. My brother and I have been coming here for a while now, and it never disappoints. The quality is always top-notch—fresh fish, perfectly seasoned rice, and well-balanced flavors in every bite. It’s the kind of place where you can taste the care that goes into each roll.

On top of that, the prices are more than fair, especially considering the quality. But what really makes Tatsu stand out are the little extras. The free gyoza and miso soup? That’s just an unbeatable touch. It’s rare to find a place that goes the extra mile like that, and it’s one of the many reasons we keep coming back.

The only downside? Word is getting out. It used to feel like our little secret sushi spot, but now more people are catching on. “First time here and probably last time too. I hella liked how the inside was decorated reminded me of a restaurant in Japan. Kinda disappointed though. I hella love sushi. But the sushi selection was small. Nothing caught my eye. The only thing I did enjoy with my meal was the ikura. The waitress’s don’t even check up on you to see how your doing. We we’re seated all the way in the back. I asked for more water and it never came. And for those 2 reasons I won’t come back.“

“I walked in with low expectations only because not that many people were in the restaurant. I was proven wrong quickly. The food was amazing and the service was great. I can't stand it when you get giant sushi rolls. These were small and very fresh. The dudes rolling the sushi were bout the business. Tashiko was a great waitress and she made our 10 year old picky eater feel special and went out of her way to make sure she had a good experience. The salad dressing is amazing , the nigiri and rolls were awesome as was everything else. Great little date spot. Highly recommend.“

“Low key, family-run sushi spot out in the burbs. I usually get sashimi or one of the rolls. Now if you want to throw caution to the wind, get the roll called "I don't know". It's chef's choice, and it depends on the ingredients on hand that day. Sometimes it's great, sometimes less so. Regardless, the portion is always generous, and it's always a surprise.“

“I have have been getting the wonderful chicken Teriyaki with rice from Genji for years and it is the best I have every tasted. Grilled to perfection. The 'Sushi is also very fresh and very good. The Alameda Roll has all of my favorites—salmon, tuna and unagi, plus snow crab! I asked for it spicy and they totally hit the spice mark. Very filling and very reasonably priced. RnR is a neighborhood gem and I’m very surprised that I hadn’t bothered to eat there before. It appears as a hole in the wall restaurant however, it totally delivers. “In all my travels, I look for what I call "happy food." Happy food for me is healthy, nutritious, tasty, nicely prepared, and served by smiling people in a clean environment. Oori exceeded all my happy food requirements and then took me for a ride through food blissfulness worth each bite. I had chicken teriyaki, grilled salmon, and spicy tuna triangles. On the side, I complimented it with miso soup and ginger. Each flavor was distinct and made my taste buds ooh, ahh, and wow for more. I'll be back here for more without question. I felt like I was dining at a 5-star restaurant and found the food reasonably priced.“

The other three are Wok Chi (Chinese), Yue Club (dim sum) and Sachi (sushi).My visit there was for a YEE (Yelp Elite Event). The business was offering a complimentary food sampler. I chose the Wok Chi and paid extra for the Yue Club. The food was excellent. The dim sum was perfect with a cup of hot tea on a rainy day (January 27, 2021). I recommend the dim sum (har gow, siu mai, xlb dumplings, etc.)Service was quick and employees were pleasant and helpful. There will be a return visits in the near future for the beef chow fun and spicy eggplant.“
