“sis and I stopped here for a late lunch on the way down to Monterey. the place was not crowded, but service was still a little slow. still, the meals were delish! definitely try the castroville artichoke appetizer. so good! the chicken enchiladas were middle of the road. my sister got a dish from the specials menu that involved shrimp and grape leaves. really tasty! we also enjoyed the house margarita and chips/salsa. overall a great experience and would def recommend a stop here for a meal.“

“The house burrito includes delicious chicken and shrimp with a nice green sauce covering the entire burrito. Also, black beans, guacamole, sour cream and pico de Caillou is served on the side. The portions are generous and the service is outstanding.“

“My wife and I decided to stop at Cilantros for lunch on our way home.We went on a Saturday at around 4pm. It wasn't too busy so there was no wait. It had been a while since I last ate at Cilantros and my wife had never been to the restaurant.Chips and salsa were immediately brought to our table along with water for both of us. I ordered a Pacifico (draft). The beer was just a tad too warm, but not bad. We ordered an appetizer, the Quesadilla de Johann. It was large. Filled with jack and cheddar chesses, it really could have been a meal by itself. Sour cream, salsa, and guacamole were served with the quesadilla.For our meals, we both ordered an enchilada dish. Each dish came with 2 enchiladas, rice, and refried beans. I ordered the Enchiladas Casera; one enchilada was filled with shredded beef while the other was filled with cheese. These were topped with red sauce, shredded cabbage, salsa, and sour cream. My wife's enchilada dish was the Enchiladas Verde. Both were filled with grilled chicken and topped with verde sauce and melted cheese. Cabbage, sour cream, and guacamole were served on the side.Great food! Large portions and very filling. The atmosphere was pleasant and not too noisy. The service was speedy as well; we were in and out in less than 60 minutes. Loved the tortilla chips - they came warm and the salsa was great.We will definitely return! Highly recommended.“

“Villa Azteca was delicious. There was no wait on a Saturday afternoon for a party of 2. We ordered the carnitas enchiladas, mole Amarillo, and arroz con leche for dessert. Everything tasted great, the carnitas were really tasty and had some meat cooked on the crunchier side just how I like it. The steak on the mole Amarillo was requested “well done” so it was also on the crunchier side as well, next time we’ll order medium well. The arroz con leche hit the spot for that sweet tooth. I gave 4 stars because they charged $1.99 for chips and salsa, something they should have been transparent about when they bring them to the table.“

“It was our first time, our friend said that if you visit Watsonville, you have to have CARNITAS!!! We ordered 1 lb CARNITAS $8.00, (no fatty pieces in our lb)+1 dozen tortillas(made in house?)+small salsa+1 Mexican Coke in a bottle = $17.00. Cash only. They have an ATM inside if you forget to bring cash, and yes it gives you a $3.25 surcharge. There is a line out the door and the workers only seem to speak Spanish. If you’re at a loss for Spanish , just hold up your fingers ??✌??? how many lbs you would like, and that is perfectly understood as well. There is nowhere to sit inside so just take your food home and enjoy. If we ever drive through Watsonville again, we will be stopping in.“

“Gordon's Café was a pleasant experience. To me it was the epitome of your neighborhood spot. I felt like it was an easy place to end up at 4 times a week, and this was my first time there. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and fries and it was everything a good burger should be. Definitely going back to try something else on their menu.“

“They now accept credit and debit cards and they accidentally charged my buddy for two Super burritos instead of one. I caught the mistake and informed the kid who was making the burritos. He, in turn, told the cashier and we were refunded $11 with no fuss! My buddy raved about the quality of his burrito. I ordered the Tostada Mixta and it was enough to feed a family of four!“

“Food is always hot and tastes great. Service is always friendly and fast. Great prices on food.Parking: Spots in front can be limited. There is a parking lot directly behind the restaurant. At night its a bit dark back there, so make sure and watch your surroundings when walking to and from the restaurant.“

“This place was amazing! The food was so delicious, big portions, reasonably priced, and plated so professionally. The server was so friendly and welcoming. I ordered the super nachos without meat, to go. I received my order in a timely manner. In my to go bag the staff added: two different salsas, a bag of chopped onions and cilantro, a bag of lemons, a fork, and extra napkins. These added details create loyalty and very happy customers. I am going to return and try different menu items. They also have this unique outdoor area where you can enjoy your food in a peaceful atmosphere. I will try this area out another day when it isn’t raining. All in all it was a fantastic experience and I was very pleased with the results.“

It is a great takeout place for people who want a quick wholesome meal without the taste of animal blood in their food, as this place use halal meat.My first experience started with a warm welcome by the cook when I stopped by with my wife and a teenage son. The menu was self-explanatory. The cook, named Luqmaan, helped us pick a different dish/ combination by providing his expert opinion and recommendations. When he finished making us three meals, each with a custom-made combination, he gave 3 pieces of fresh Baklawa on the house for being first-time customers. Charges were very reasonable. After picking up the food, we decided to eat it at a local beach. The food was fresh, authentic, unique, and tasted like homemade food. It was a perfect meal for us. The only things I missed in this kitchen were some tables and chairs. “Overall, the food was great.I had the "Camarones Costa Azul," and they were great. The wife had an asada burrito, which she enjoyed.The only thing that we were missing was spicy salsa. We ordered takeout, and they had it ready in 15 minutes. I understand that in peak hours, the waiting times would differ. It was a good dinner under 40 bucks.“

“Great shop to get some tamales. It's a tiny place with just a table and two chairs if you wanted to eat there but it's more of a take-away place. They are quick to assist and it doesn't take much time at all for them to get your order bagged up.Love the jalapeno and cheese tamales!Its $3 per tamale, 1-3 will fill you up. We like to stop by and get them before going to the beach or other outdoor activities. “I had a combo plate with 2 Chile Rellenos, and I asked for less rice and more beans-- and they did exactly that! Thank you! My husband ordered a fish dish and it was also wonderful. We will be back. We often stay at the nearby Old Marina Inn and this restaurant is an easy walk, don't need to repark the car.“

They have consistently the best Carne asada burritos I've ever had just about... the Carne Asada is done right, it is delicious...The dinner plates and family mocajette plates are really really good, my favorite in town.The only problem I see is the price for a fountain drink was almost half the cost of the burrito.. “I love their camarones a la Diabla. Love that they have fresh handmade tortillas. During this pandemic, I preorder my food and they always have it ready for me to pick up. There is no parking so be prepared to park alongside of the street. I couldn't find the menu online so I downloaded the menu. When I pre-order for take out, my food is always ready and I get the chips and salsa and all the condiments necessary. I give this place a 5 star.“

“Best Menudo I’ve had in my life. I know that may seem like a very bold statement, but it’s really unmatched. They serve it only on the weekends and at a limited quantity, best way to down a bowl of menudo is with a nice cold Modelo. It’s a beautiful Red menudo paired with all its condiments and your choice of flour or corn tortillas, I don’t eat menudo often but when I do I come here!“

“My husband and I just finished our meal from Tacos El Jerry and I had to review right away because our meal was absolutely delicious!! We are staying at a beach house for our anniversary. Unfortunately, due to health issues I can’t have any dairy or gluten. It’s hard to find anything to eat at restaurants much less anything tasty. We had the carnitas tacos, birria tacos, the consommé, and the Jamaica. Not only was everything tasty, it all felt very comforting as well. I hope we can come back again soon to enjoy.“
