“Interesting concept for a brewery, focusing on European styles and unique takes on some traditional ones. Owner and head brewer is clearly passionate and was chatting it up with some friends over a few beers. If I was a local I’d swing through regularly. Pretty cool location inside a “Biergarten” with a winery and meadery as well as a pizza shop. Bartender didn’t know a whole lot about the beers but she was nice enough. I came for the cask but was told it’s only a Monday thing, which is an odd day for it. Will come back to try it one day, hopefully, bc you really don’t find it outside of the UK.“

“The team who works here is amazing. The beer has depth and character and the Hazy's.... OMG! Top notch! It is a San Diego must see/taste brewery. One thing that stands out as well is that the have sours but not traditional ones. They are not sour at all, more like a fruit drink. I can now bring my non beer loving friends with me and enjoy. There are two other breweries attached to this one as well. Three breweries who all have specialties so whatever type of beer you like you will find it it.“
“Great little brewery that has freshly made pizza a couple of times every week. Very kind staff. There's a 2 for $30 pizza special and every pizza you buy gets you a 50% discount ticket towards a beer. One of the best deals in town for groups. Will definitely be back to try more of their selection!“
“New favorite brewery! Had a Groupon from a long time ago that had expired but the amazing staff honored it! They had some of the best beer I have ever had and by far the best unique beers! Very chill vibe to watch the padres game! We brought in dinner from another spot and tried a flight of different beers. They have a pool table and lots of bar seats and tables plus TVs with different sports on. Very friendly staff, great laid back vibe, and awesome beers. Definitely recommend“

“I've had most of the menu and have loved every beer I've tried here. Today was overcast and cold, perfect weather for a stout. The Gambino didn't disappoint. It is well balanced and smooth. The Coco Ono a Pina colada hazy IPA. Also an awesome choice tith the pineapple nicely complementing the hops and the coconut being present but not overwhelming. Definitely stop by and have a taste“
“I feel so lucky to be living close to The Lost Abbey (in a historic Mexican Presbyterian church). The range of brewed beers here is masterclass. Pilsners to Saisons. A dubbel. A quad. The brews here are a cut above and stick you pinky out special. But if you want something smooth and lovely, do the Mexican lager or Heavenly Hitter and enjoy in the big outdoor area and cheer on the Padres. . And I totally saw Jesus here during comicon in 2025. This place is officially blessed.

“We had our 13 and 14 year old it was kid friendly which is awesome what drew us in was the punk themed bar setting but the music they were playing was so not at all what we expected also the beer felt warm other than that they had board games which was cool“

And boy do they take it seriously, though the half pipe, rec room, and living room style lounge would beg to differ.The beer reflects the same fun yet dynamic nature that the crew characterizes as San Diego Sty-LEE. Business in the front and party in the rear. Not to mention, the array of flavor profiles they serve (on their first set of brews) will tickle almost anyone's palate that enjoys a frosty beverage while soaking in the sun.I am a fan and will definitely continue to buy beer from Hodad's. Now, let's get a petition going to have them start bottling and then distributing so I can get one anywhere.“

“We booked the back patio area for a wedding event and had about ~90 guests over the course of 3 hours.
We highly, highly recommend Knotty Brewing for an event. The staff was *extremely* kind and attentive, the space was perfect in size and decor, the food and beverage selection was great! We made use of the outdoor TVs for sports, the cornhole section, and the private bar made it very easy to order.

“Made this our first visit on a North Park brewery crawl and it was a great way to kick it off. Extremely friendly staff who helped us pick our beers as out of town guests. Nice little patio area to sit in the sun. Lots of locals were making their way in and out while we were there which is always a great sign!“

It has a rustic interior, friendly staff, and an impressive list of craft beers — both local and international. The bartender was super knowledgeable and let me sample a few before I picked my favorite. They also had board games available, which made the night even more fun. “Cute brewery in a charming building, nice location, and with a beautiful patio. Good, if not as expensive beer collection as some other places (e.g. Pure Project), but the selection we tried were all great. A very nice way to while away an afternoon playing their games and enjoying the cool breeze. Highly recommended.“

“Great beer selection, kombucha options, and DELICIOUS ice cream. The crew is amazing. Welcoming, friendly, chatty and a bunch of fellow Star Wars fans, pwhich was great. We stopped in on our way out of the Convention Center from ComicCon. This was a welcome refreshment after long days. Highly recommend!“
