“This small and cozy restaurant offers a greasy service, but their chain of restaurants is renowned for their delicious Ramen. We started with chicken karagee, which was filled with cheese ramen, chicken ramen, house ramen, and spicy pork bowl. The food arrived quickly, within a few minutes. The chicken starter was good, with tender meat. The chicken ramen was perfectly balanced with spices, creating a flavorful bowl of food. I also tried the spicy pork bowl, which was interesting and enjoyable. To finish our meal, we had green tea softie and matcha latte float. Both were delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed them. Overall, we had a great experience at this restaurant.“

“I like the quality of their ramen. The portion, the thickness of the char siew and the onsen egg, delicious! If i can suggest one thing, it will the hotness of the soup. “We were visiting from Boston on a family trip and stopped by this restaurant on July 2. The food was absolutely delicious(my top pick is black king but sides are also good, chicken and dumplings), but what made our visit truly unforgettable was the incredible hospitality from one of your staff members.

Unfortunately, we never got his name, but he was a Korean staff member. From the moment we were waiting in line, he noticed our 5yo drawing on the order sheet and kindly interacted with her. Throughout our meal, he kept checking on us and made our whole family feel so welcome.

Before we finished our meal, he came over to let us know that he was heading home for the day. Because of that, we never had the chance to properly thank him, which is something we’ve regretted ever since.

Our trip lasted two weeks, taking us all the way from San Diego to San Francisco, and we visited many wonderful restaurants along the way. Yet, almost a month later, our kids still talk about “the uncle” from this restaurant and keep asking when we can come back. That says more than any review ever could.

If we ever have the opportunity, we’d love to come back just to thank him in person. And if by any chance you’re reading this review—thank you for making our family trip so special. Your kindness left a lasting memory for all of us.

“I got the normal broth, medium spicy, and it was very flavorful, not too spicy. Only thing is the beef shrinks a lot in size after it’s cooked so keep that in mind when filling your bowl. It’s a bit pricy, I paid about $30 for my bowl, however it was a large portion“

“Mala Town is hands down one of the best spots for Sichuan dry pot in Union City! You get to pick your own ingredients and spice level, and they stir-fry everything to perfection with that addictive numbing-spicy mala flavor. Portions are generous, perfect for sharing, and prices are fair for the quality.

The medium spice has a nice kick, but if you love heat, go for the higher levels—it’s legit spicy! Service is quick and friendly, and the restaurant has a clean, modern vibe. Definitely a go-to place if you’re craving bold flavors and want a fun, shareable meal.“

“Stopped by Ramen Kowa after an AI workshop nearby, and honestly, it was a cute and easy little dinner stop on California Ave. The menu had a pretty solid variety of ramen, including tonkotsu, spicy miso tonkotsu, shoyu, shio, and miso, along with Japanese comfort foods like karaage and curry.

The restaurant has a casual, slightly izakaya-style vibe, and the outdoor seating was nice for a chill Palo Alto evening. The ramen was good and satisfying overall, although I personally wished the broth had a little more depth and richness, especially for the price. The service was friendly, and everything came out smoothly.

Overall, I’d give it around 3.5 stars. It’s a solid neighborhood ramen spot and a convenient choice if you’re already hanging out around California Ave, but probably not somewhere I’d drive a long distance specifically to visit.

“What can I say about this place? Well first of all it's really one of the best restaurants we have here in our little village of San Lorenzo California. We love coming here for lunch and having the bento box which has very generous portions and delicious food. My friend always gets the strawberry green tea and he thinks it is so fabulous. I like coming here with my friends and getting lots of different kinds of rolls. The staff is super friendly as well as very good at doing their jobs. They've always got smiles on their face and kindness when they approach your table or cook your meal. They have all different kinds of music playing so some days It might not be your style but that's all right just go with the flow. Our roll was so fresh and the squid balls were hot and yummy! THE RAMEN. Spicy garlic tonkatsu, my oh MY. The broth is so rich, every bite was infused! The perfect balance of spicy and savory! “Food was excellent. My brother and I ordered the Ramen combo with skewers. Each came with a free milk tea and almond tofu dessert. (We didn't realize the milk tea and almond tofu came with our meal. The server was very attentive to detail and made sure all our needs were met. Only gripe was it seemed that the chicken skewer only had sauce and wasn't seasoned. The mustard greens on the ramen was a nice touch to cut the richness of the broth. Will definitely come back 😁“

Located across from Ohlone College so there was almost no lunchtime crowd. I was told that the busy time is after 3 PM when the students will come to eat. The place was clean and the food was OK. The service was good. I would say a solid four stars.“

“The braised beef rice noodles at this place tastes very good. It's now my favorite and I have it once every week. The store manager is good at doing business. I visit the store nearly weekly, in just a few times he recognizes me and remembers my favorite food already. He is very friendly and trusts his customers (one time I did not carry enough money with me, the manager was nice to work out a good deal for me).

“Wadaya hasn't left my mind yet. I love that the noodles are thicker than Kajiken. It makes for a chewier bite which I prefer. I'd say the taste is similar to Kajiken but maybe the flavor at Kajiken is a bit better. I definitely like the noodles here more. The absolute star of the show is the tiny scoop of rice they give you at the end to mix in with your extra sauce. I wasn't a believer at first until I actually tried it. Best bite ever. Holy.“
