“I like the quality of their ramen. The portion, the thickness of the char siew and the onsen egg, delicious! If i can suggest one thing, it will the hotness of the soup. They have to serve it piping hot and it will be bring heaven to earth. We ate there today and the soup is just warm.. so maybe next time i visit here i hope they will make it more hot. Thanks!“

“The BEST ramen I've ever had, period. Although you probably have to wait in line outside, it moves very quickly. They also give you a menu where you can mark what customize your order and when you get to the table, you just give that sheet. Super fast and efficient. Oh and crispy hash browns in the ramen are a welcome addition!“

“Stopped in for a bowl and was pleasantly surprised. Good portion and great taste. The karaage was so juicy with a great fried chicken taste. Some of the best I’ve had in a while. I’ve been looking for good ramen in the bay and will definitely be back. Quick friendly service with a reasonable price :)“

Clean and green

Not much customer service. Also hard to get their attention when trying to check in.
Ambiance: 4.5/5
Loving the greenery and nature vibes
Food: 4.5/5
There was a huge diversity of options. Saw there was a Mochi fish tofu then ? it was very interesting. Got pretty much everything I wanted. There was even a sauce bar. Only complaint is that the soup base was slightly salty
Wow: 0.5/1
Wowed but the ingredient options.
Total Score = BR + CS + 2*AM + 5*FOOD + WOW“

“This is our go to place for ramen whenever I am in the area. We always get our fixed orders. Pork cutlet curry, edamame and tantan ramen. Sometimes there is wait time due to rush. But once you have the table service is fairly quick.
They don’t have parking reserved for restaurant as such but you will find free parking nearby for 2 hours. But during rush hour it’s difficult to find parking since most lots around the area are full.
Ambience is good too.“

“Tiny place tucked into a strip mall. The ramen was pretty good, flavor-wise, but I'd stay away from the "spicy" option as it was too spicy for 3/4 of our group.
The roasted garlic was pretty potent.
The soft-boiled egg was a little overdone (IMO) and was served cold.“

“I moved to the east bay recently and this has been the best dine in experience I’ve had so far.
Their lunch menu is hard to beat. I got a bento and two rolls. In the bento, I got chicken katsu and teriyaki steak. I ordered the steak medium rare, it came out on the rarer side but I loved every bit of it. Super tender and juicy. They served me a complimentary side of edamame and ice cream with my meal.
The kick is: Along with the purchase, they’ll give you a stamp for every $10 you spend and once you’ve collected a bunch, they’ll take off $10 from your bill. Literally cannot beat this place.
It will be busy on a weekend so come prepared!!“

“When you see a restaurant where the majority of patrons belong to the same ethnic group as the cuisine, it often indicates that the food is going to be good. I liked the vegan ramen, I had a few minor gripes with it, the highest was that there was plain cubed tofu in it. However, the broth and noodles were excellent. The vegan gyoza was spectacular and had some sort of wheat gluten filling. Finally, I liked their garlic and spice options, where you could tune your ramen to what your tastes are.“

“This place is kinda hard to get into, it's behind a pathway and a little out of the way. However the staff was friendly, and helped the guests in front of me to decide for first timers.I just got the tea and it was great! Not too sweet and tasty.“

“This is the best sushi restaurant in Palo Alto! We have been to a few of them on California Avenue, and the quality of the food and its affordability at Kanji is certainly the best among them all. We ordered the 15 pieces sashimi platter and the cut of the fish was so thick and satisfying. The sweet shrimps were also very worth it, it was so fresh and they even fry the heads for you. Will come back next time to try their breakfast!“

“SOJO Ramen is a must-try for any ramen lover! The soup is incredibly flavorful and the Takoyaki is a delicious appetizer. I highly recommend the Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen - it's rich, savory, and perfectly balanced. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I'll definitely be back for more!“

“The kiki mural is fantastic! We were all pleasantly surprised by it. Extra star just for the mural. The place looks neat and comfy and the server is very attentive.
Ramen was just ok though. The char siu was chewy and bland. The egg was very good.
Edamame felt a bit mushy.
Bay scallop roll was pretty good but there were definitely very chewy parts of the scallop.
Chicken skewers were yummy and surprisingly spicy with jalapenos.“

“Only 2 items were vegetarian. We order bothThe most I liked was vegetarian ramen (replacement of vegetables are not an option). 2nd item was vegetable tempura and for me was a bit oily. But I’ll definitely go there one more time for their Ramen.

“One of my favorite ramen in Bay Area! Visited multiple times, everything ordered is delicious. But not sure if they changed the recipe, previously they had chashu with amazing smoky flavor, now it’s just plain chashu. Hope they can bring it “

“Added to my list of “most favorite restaurants in the Bay Area”
It’s very hole in the wall, no frills, come for the food type of place.
Highlights:
- prices! We went during happy hour (1-2pm and 7pm to closing) and we got the crunch roll (2 rolls for $12!)
- self serve hot tea (genmaicha?) and water. The tea was flavorful!
- service was fast and friendly
Taste:
the good: We got miso soup, and a baked roll (forgot the name…) and crunch roll. All were 5/5
So-so: Their donburi bowls had too much rice for our liking. Salmon skin roll was ok
Other notes:
- Didn’t get a chance to try their sashimi because I’m pregnant so we will definately be back!
- yes they only have 6 tables and no restroom because the place is small“

“Hidden ramen gem in South Bay! Better than the ramen places on Castro street in Mountain View. My friend and I both ordered the Miso Ramen (~$18.50 each before tax) which were large portions that came with very tasty and tender large slices of pork. The broth and noodles were also flavorful without being too salty.
Service was fast.
Good amount of indoor seating, casual ambience.“

“I’ve been coming here since 2011.Anyone local can tell you no other ramen shop has been around- even half as long.Joanne and rest of the small staff give a genuine ramen experience. You will not meet another person as welcoming and professional as Joanne. Her service alone would be reason enough for coming.Oh and you would never guess with the soft atmosphere that the quiet older chef is 100% listening to metal in those earphones. ?Ask for Joanne, you won’t be let down!“

“Excellent spicy miso broth, not too spicy, but enough to warm you up by the end of the bowl. There are a lot of options including half noodles.“

“I always have to doctor my Ramen to taste the way that I want it, but this came exactly the way that I love my Ramen! The broth was delicious, the noodles were perfectly done, and the spice was existent but not overwhelming. As a big back, i approve“
