“I like the quality of their ramen. The portion, the thickness of the char siew and the onsen egg, delicious! If i can suggest one thing, it will the hotness of the soup. They have to serve it piping hot and it will be bring heaven to earth. We ate there today and the soup is just warm.. so maybe next time i visit here i hope they will make it more hot. Thanks!“

“I recently tried Mala Town 麻辣烫, and it was a fantastic experience. The best part is being able to customize your own bowl — you pick exactly what ingredients you want, from fresh vegetables and tofu to different meats and noodles. Everything tasted very fresh and the variety of options was great.
The broth was rich, aromatic, and perfectly spicy. It had that authentic Sichuan-style mala flavor — numbing, fragrant, and deeply satisfying. You can also adjust the spice level, which makes it great whether you prefer mild or extra spicy.
The staff were friendly and the service was quick. The restaurant was clean and well organized, making the whole experience very comfortable. It’s a great spot if you’re craving authentic Chinese comfort food.
Overall, Mala Town is a great place for flavorful, customizable mala tang. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“We tried the Gyu King Ramen and the Original King Ramen.
The Gyu King (limited edition) was amazing! The broth had such a rich, deep beef flavor and tasted super comforting. Definitely worth trying while it’s available.
The Original King is always solid. I like adding a bit of the spicy sauce which cuts the richness and makes the soup feel lighter and more balanced.
Would happily come back again!“

“Ramen Arashi is easily one of my new favorite spots in Fremont. The food is legit. I ordered the Arashi ramen and it was super flavorful — rich broth without being too heavy, and the chashu was soft and tender. The noodles had the perfect chew, and the bowl came out piping hot, which I loved.
I also tried the karaage and it surprised me. Super crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and not greasy at all. Portion size was really generous too. Even the side toppings were fresh and well-seasoned.
Service was fast and friendly, and the prices are reasonable for the quality. I already want to go back and try more from the menu. If you’re anywhere near Fremont and craving ramen, this spot is a must-try.“

“One of the good vegetarian ramens I’ve had. It has good flavor and the noodles were also cooked well. Silken tofu, brussel sprouts and ginger is a great combination with Ramen. Edamame tossed in light garlic and Sparkly jelly sake were cherry on top.“

“Mala Town is hands down one of the best spots for Sichuan dry pot in Union City! You get to pick your own ingredients and spice level, and they stir-fry everything to perfection with that addictive numbing-spicy mala flavor. Portions are generous, perfect for sharing, and prices are fair for the quality.
The medium spice has a nice kick, but if you love heat, go for the higher levels—it’s legit spicy! Service is quick and friendly, and the restaurant has a clean, modern vibe. Definitely a go-to place if you’re craving bold flavors and want a fun, shareable meal.“

“This is the ramen place you are craving. My sister and I have been in search for some great ramen since our previous fav place changed owners. Haha is absolutely positively amazing in every way. Our roll was so fresh and the squid balls were hot and yummy! THE RAMEN. Spicy garlic tonkatsu, my oh MY. The broth is so rich, every bite was infused! The perfect balance of spicy and savory! The people are so incredibly kind and attentive. The atmosphere, affordable prices, portions, flavors 10/10.“

“Ordered the Tonkotsu soup ramen with thick noodles and less salt for myself and the black garlic soup ramen with thick noodles and less salt for hubby. The black garlic ramen was most flavourful. Both soup was rich and thick and the fried black garlic was fragrant. The pork slices were thick and soft. Have to say the ramen was tasty and satisfying, authentic to Japan. Have a try for yourself“

“Probably the best ramen I’ve had! Very nice staff, quick service. The tip is included automatically (which is great from my point of view). Really loved the place! And especially the food (I got the regular tonkotsu ramen and it was incredible!). Water is also nice (I don’t remember what exactly they add to it, but it was refreshing and nice to have this instead of regular tap water in other places). Definitely recommend everyone in the area!“

“An surprisingly great underrated Ramen spot. A short walk from my parent’s was this tiny no frills Ramen and Tea restaurant. Dude was playing smooth Jazz. Cool artwork on the walls, plus the low key mess from working made it amazing. I felt like was some unassuming Tokyo suburb that simply serves great food.“

“If you are looking for a hot and comforting ramen bowl in Mountain View, this is definitely the place to go. It’s absolutely fantastic, from the food, to the vibes of the place to the service, you will have a wonderful night.
I recommend the Chicken Ramen, it was super comforting and enjoyable! The portions are big so you will end up being full, but happy.“

“Ramen was tasty but we got level 2 spicy (out of 4 levels 0 1 2 3) which was too spicy for us so I’d go with no spicy or level 1 spicy in the future. I got extra chashu on mine.
The vibe/atmosphere is nice too with the paintings on the wall and nice background jazz music playing it gives cozy Japanese hole in the wall vibes.“

“No complaints all the sushi we ordered was delicious.the rolls are on the smaller side but that’s the new norm in most restaurants to help with rising costs.we have visited multiple times and we haven’t had any issues whatsoever so ever. I recommend you guys giving it a try.“

“Menya Shono is a good quality ramen restaurant in the East Bay and I'm happy to have tried their original Ginjo ramen. Some standouts: atmosphere is modern and clean, pork chashu is slightly smoky in flavor, and broth is rich/thick. My party had no wait on a weekend lunch. Parking is easy in the public lot.“

“Kanji Sushi and Ramen took over the location of the former Sushi Tomo, which we loved. We have been really happy with the new owners. The staff is so accommodating and nice, the Sushi and orders have been terrific and the atmosphere is very comfortable and welcoming. We have been very happy with dine in or take out.“

“The sushi here is seriously good - fresh ingredients, creative rolls you won’t find anywhere else. The Fuji Roll? Absolutely delicious. Prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly, even if the vibe inside feels a bit cramped and could use a deeper clean. It’s a small spot, so I’d recommend takeout or delivery over dining in. For the quality of food though, it’s worth it.“

“One of the best Ramen Place in Fremont or even Bay Area. I've been to different ramen places and so far, their Ramen is still my best ramen I've ever had. Not many ramen places makes the soup base tasty and made fresh. Bodo is made fresh and that's why it might take a bit longer. It's worth the wait. Their service is pretty good and the place is very neat. They serves different Japanese dishes as well. Plenty of choices. Try it and you won't be disappointed. I strongly recommend to my family and friends. Weekdays, they always have line outside, especially during lunch time. Give them a try. Bon appetit.“

“Best and most underrated ramen in the Bay! The broth is so flavorful, the texture of the noodles is perfect, and the pork belly is so crispy. Good portions for the price and the owners/service are great. My personal fav is the TanTan! Can be a little salty so request less salt :)“

“It can get busy really quick and for a great reason! This was one of the best ramen in the area, flavorful, great portion and amazing all around. It was not heavy greasy and the noodles were perfect.
Hubby and I only got the ramen but will def come back for the mazemen noodles. Their sides were vary flavorful too.
Good atmosphere, clean, small and the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable of the food, really appreciated that too.“
“Great little spot for Yunnan rice noodles. I got the Dali Intestines rice noodles and they were fantastic. It was fresh, flavourful, and generously portioned. The broth especially was very flavourful and had just the right spice level. The noodles had just the right texture and weren't too soft. Definitely worth checking out.“

“I recently visited a ramen restaurant, and here are my impressions.
First of all, the atmosphere was very cozy and casual, creating the perfect setting for enjoying the food. The menu offered a variety of ramen options, and I chose the classic chicken ramen.
When my dish arrived, I was impressed by its size. The noodles were average in taste, but that's an acquired taste. The only downsides were the water glasses and the toilet, which weren't very clean. I wouldn't come back.“

“Yuzu ramen was light and citrusy - great contrast to the typical heavy broth ramen you usually get. Kakiage and tea were both tasty as well. Our table split a matcha parfait at the end -- might have struggled to eat one solo. They don't do reservations -- prepare for the Yelp waitlist!“
