“OMG! Have been looking for a proper Japanese izakaya restaurant in Ventura County for 4 years. By far! This place kicks ass! Amazing authentic, clean, fresh rolls, broths, ramen, salads, beer, and sake! At the most reasonable prices! Especially for happy hour EVERY DAY 5-7pm. Great friendly service and a truly cozy izakaya-style ambience. Fantastic! I recommend the Dassai sake; pair the ginger cucumber salad with crispy baby octopus!! Then the spicy tuna and spicy brisket open hand rolls and finish with the Asian favorite Spicy Nagoya bone broth. 💯“

“I had the vegan tan tan ramen. It comes with impossible meat which turned out to just be a few crumbles, maybe a tablespoon’s worth. It was a bit disappointing in contrast to my husband’s ramen that had plenty of chicken in it. Flavor was good, just disappointed with the lack of protein at the price.“

“Was craving some ramen and was about to drive to little Tokyo when I found this little jewel nearby. Food was tasty and knocked my cravings out. I ordered the signature monkey ramen dish and was not disappointed. You can tell the broth had taken a couple days, because it was so rich. I would definitely eat here again.“

“Ramen was good, was expecting more for Gluten Free noodles, it had to be modified a couple of times since even though we ordered GF noodles they still gave us an egg with gluten!
Service could have been better if the server had asked follow up questions!
Ambiance was chill.“

“This place is so yummy. Plus portions are huge and the food is so hot and flavorful every-time. The staff are very nice, and they are accommodating of allergies. I came here with a friend who has a sesame allergy, and they were able to replace the normal noodles with rice noodles for her. They told the chef before he touched her food, cleaned all their tools, cleaned the cooking area, and checked that the sauces didn’t have sesame. Much appreciated!“

“Hoshi Ramen is a great little place for chicken ramen. The prices are a little steep, but the quality and service are great. $52 for for two ramens, coke, and a smoothie is quite much. That equates too about $26 per plate which is a little expensive. Unfortunately, I probably won't come back in due to prices.“
