I didn’t taste anything excellent, but staff are friendly. Prices are what you expect for seafood. Very popular place so crowded but surprisingly the wait in line is not too long and there’s usually a few tables open, even on Sat afternoon. There’s an outdoor patio area with umbrellas.“

“The Eddie V's Newport Beach location is by far our favorite restaurant. We have always enjoyed our dining experiences here for many years. We are beyond sad to hear that this location is closing over the lease renewal with The Irvine Co. We hope that both parties can work this out. It would be a terrible loss if Eddie V's Newport Beach closes.“

First time visiting the Newport location after previously dining at the Del Mar restaurant, and we were blown away once again. We came to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and everything from start to finish exceeded expectations.

The service here stood out beyond any other restaurant we’ve tried in Orange County. Our server, Ryan, was absolutely phenomenal—professional, attentive, and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to guide us through the menu and made fantastic recommendations. (And trust me, we have high expectations!)

The food was incredible—perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The cocktails were equally impressive and crafted with such care. The combination of the outstanding service, delicious food, and great drinks has officially made this our new date night spot.

Newport pier is a 10 minute walk away. This was a Thursday lunch at Woodys and a few hours kicking back on the sand. Good times great vibe down here.“

“Took my wife on a Monday night 6 pm and had a surprisingly relaxing, quiet and romantic dinner for my wife's b'day. I was expecting it to be crowded and noisy being that it's just feet away from Newport Beach Pier parking lot. It wasn't though. I had a fantastic baseball cut swordfish. Thick, juicy and flavorful. My wife had blackened seafood linguine that had scallops and sausage. It was fantastic as well. Also had a nice bottle of Australian resiling, fresh and crisp. The service was great, very attentive and interested in making our dinning experience a memorable one. Just a fantastic experience and we will return and I highly recommend it. It's probably more crowded on weekends but couldn't comment on that. Thanks to the servers and great chefs.“

Great time with family in town, remembering our wedding that we had Harborside Ballroom Newport Beach Cory and the whole staff were so awesome, price was reasonable, they made the day great!!!! “Wonderful view and we had great service. We've always enjoyed coming here. The food was very good. We had the lobster bisque and the clam chowder. Both were good. We shared the Caesar salad, which was crisp and tasty, and we shared the chicken creamy pesto pasta that was very satisfying, our server was very attentive, and the food was presented promptly, considering the location and the quality of food and the ambience of the restaurant. We felt that we got very good value for our dollar spent.“

“I'm not one to write reviews however our experience definitely warrants one. We were visiting Newport Beach for my son's 4th birthday and our first night we had dinner at Shor. Our experience was nothing short of exceptional. Rob was our server and he made all of us but especially my children feel so special. He went above and beyond. My kids were talking about how much fun dinner was throughout our entire weekend. I didn't catch the managers name but she was wonderful and kind as well. “We had high hopes coming to Olea, but alas we were disappointed. Location/Ambiance: Westcliff Plaza and small with a large bar at the front, the layout leaves little space for tables. We sat in a snug booth alongside the windows with a view of Susie Cakes next door. The decor is warm and modern. Food: Subpar! Burnt bread but delicious whipped butter. Butter lettuce and Goat cheese salad was bland with a basic dressing. Mac and cheese skillet was good but nothing amazing. Filet was dry with overdone gluey mashed potatoes, and underdone broccolini. Halibut was pan seared to a dry mess with an inedible coating, bland steamed seasonal vegetables of cauliflower, carrots, and broccoli as a side. Service: Friendly and Fake, if you enjoy watching servers walk away from your table talking about how "picky and difficult you are" this is a perfect spot. My Mother has dietary restrictions and we are specific to ensure a safe dining experience, it's sad when that's met with disdain. Overall: We won't be back!“

“Wonderful family owned place! The most authentic Italian restaurant outside of Italy. At Il Farro food is prepared with attention and real LOVE. Everything from the appetizers to dessert were perfect. Every dish is made with true italian fresh and natural ingredients and is made by traditional recipes. The talented chef M. makes pastas and pizzas daily and they taste amazing. Also the house wine is a good selection. I suggest you to have their own valuable wine. Il Farro has a great management and staff too. We loved interacting with customers and guys who work in, they became like family for us. The qualified employees are friendly helpful and the restaurant is always clean. They do have enough seats and limited outdoor seating, but get a reservation in advance to make sure you have a place.Hands off, this is the best place to gather with friends or family! “This was my first Omakase experience and man, I picked a great one. I was quite surprised that I had to take a car ferry to get here, but that was a cool experience. There are no on-site parking but, parking was available nearby and it's free after 6 pm. The food was incredible. They were on point with presentation, delivery, and taste. I highly recommend it and it's pricey! But, worth the price.“

The food and service are just as exceptional: my go-to dishes are the scallops, the lamb, and all the steaks. The seafood is so fresh and the steaks are far superior in flavor to any high-end restaurant. For appetizers, the ahi tuna tartare is a must-try (THE BEST I’ve had anywhere), and the calamari with its Thai-style twist of chilies, green onion, and cilantro over an amazing salad is a standout. Desserts? Absolutely heavenly. The cheesecake and panna cotta are favorites, but the Grand Marnier souffle is simply to die for. “This place is our favorite for their clam & seafood chowders...depending on the availability of the seafood. Both are exceptional and well worth the trip, just for that...Friday and Saturdays only. Not always available. I never order from the menu and always enjoy ordering from the specials board. The chefs are the stars here and have us coming back weekly! Not to mention the bar is tagged with the line...heaviest pour on the shore!“

“We had a bucket of lobsters and king crab legs. Streamed and seasoned perfectly. 20yds from the sand. Amazing location. Laid back atmosphere. Kids left unattended are given an espresso and a puppy. Somehow this has become our Juneteenth tradition.“
