“I had the bear flag taco which was ok (plain), the yellowtail taco which was good, caterpillar roll which was good and Smokey bear cocktail which was good. I didn’t taste anything excellent, but staff are friendly. Prices are what you expect for seafood. Very popular place so crowded but surprisingly the wait in line is not too long and there’s usually a few tables open, even on Sat afternoon. There’s an outdoor patio area with umbrellas.“

“I got the chicken bento box with green salad, potstickers, and salmon roll, and for 16$ it was amazing. Overall everything in the bento box tasted fresh, especially the sushi rolls! The bento box can definitely be enough food for 2 meal. Will be returning back, staff/owners are very nice.“

“My wife and I absolutely love coming here for Omakase. I have no idea why someone would think that this place would be all you can eat... do a little more research. We've especially enjoyed the atmosphere here because yes you can buy the chefs drinks and watch them enjoy what they love doing.

I recommend getting reservations at the bar for Omakase, the host and servers are always so welcoming and attentive.

We typically come here for special occasions such as birthdays or anniversaries with friends because this is premium priced dining sushi experience but we have always left satisfied and excited for the next time we come back.

Their appetizers and sushi have never failed to be amazing, from the special agedashi tofu to their beautiful cut nigiri, this is somewhere we will always return to.

“This place was amazing! I don’t think I’ve ever received such good service in my lifetime at a restaurant! There was one sushi, chef, fair, and he made us feel so special not to mention how fresh the food was. Growing up in New York City, my family us to wonderful restaurants and the best food so we are pretty particular.! I’m so excited that this place just opened in Newport Beach.

I definitely recommend the sushi instead of the rolls. The rolls were good but a little heavy on the rice while the fish and rice balance on the succulent sushi was perfect. Pricey but worth it.“
