“This is quite possibly the best sourdough I have ever had, (that isn't going to break the bank). The bagels are my favorite... but I also enjoy the English muffins too. It's always a perk/reassuring when you know how clean the kitchen is... Jordan, who knew you would be a professional at this. I 100% support this side hustle. I mean it's more of an addiction for you 😂🫶🏻 but I support it.“

“First time at Lake Tahoe, and this place was amazing! We had lunch on the patio, and we can tell how vibrant this place is just because there were no tables open. My burger was a 10/10 perfect medium rare, fries were the perfect crisp, makes the meal 20/20. The service was also fantastic, she always made sure we were hydrated and everything was on point, on this beautiful hot day.“

“Great service! We were able to sit in the dining room near the fireplace. My favorite ! It set the stage for a night of lovely ambiance and great food! We had lovely Cocktails served promptly. We omitted appetizers. Hubby had the steak and frites and a salad. All was excellent . I started with a cup of the Greek Lemon soup. Delicious! This was followed by the Thai Shrimp. Sooooo yummy! Spicy and so full of flavor! I had to share with Hubby and he loved it too. It was a very generous portion. We shared the sorbet selection which was a refreshing end to a lovely date night at the Lodge! Thanks to all our servers and staff. Our compliments to the Chef and his crew!“

“Double diamond experience in Olympic Valley.
Superb dining experience. The menu options were abbreviated from what was listed online, but every dish we had was fantastic (the website now contains the updated menu).
The smoked walu was absolutely amazing; the texture was soft and buttery and the the flavor balance of smoke, aguachile, and aoli blended well with the pickled vegetabls. The radiccio and endive salad was fresh and bright, and the vegetable of the day was a beet salad which was also delicious. Our ribeye initially came out overcooked, so the kitchen quickly prepared a new one at the appropriate temperature. The zabutan was flavorful and well cooked; it's nice to order and try items that are uncommon. The roasted bone marrow was savory and perfectly prepared. Rounding out the dinner was an olive oil cake, which was hands down the best I've had; so moist and so flavorful, definitely don't skip it. I thoroughly enjoyed my cocktail made with Japanese whiskey, nori, and Madeira (I forget the other ingredients). The wine menu is well-curated with several options to pair with items on the menu.
Shout out to the staff that assisted us; Manager Travis, who was a wealth of knowledge and showed passion for presenting a top-notch experience, Server Luis who was attentive and showed great interest in our experience, Chef Chris for taking the time and effort to cultivate, acquire, and prepare fresh, top quality ingredients, as well as the bar and other staff.
We'll definitely visit again.“

“On Friday, June 5, after being in the busy San Francisco Bay area for 2 weeks, it was a relief to leave the traffic behind and head east. Always liking to take the road-less-travelled, we exited I-80 at Norden and drove US Hwy 40 over the historic Donner Pass. Along the way, we came across the Old 40 Bar & Grill at the Donner Ski Ranch. It turned out to be a fun place, with a funky atmosphere and a fairly mediocre pizza.“
