Can be hard to get a reservation, but we usually get there at 5:15 and are able to sit at the bar with no problem.“

“My brother and I had the most amazing night of superb jazz and food this past Sunday, entertained by Betty Bryant and ensemble. Her fingers moved like liquid gold on the keyboard and her compositions were witty and mesmerizing. The word that kept coming to mind as they performed was "subtle." The music was powerful, but so discrete as to be gentle and gentile. Woodwinds, Bass, and Drums - all played with the kind of delight that makes everyone love the performers as well as the music. As for food, one dish stood out particularly: the creamed spinach with blue cheese. Please tell Chef I would love that recipe! “I just don’t understand how anyone could not give this place 5 stars? We were staying in the Canoga area for a couple nights and tried a few different places. We felt Topanga Social was lack luster and saw this place across the street. We went in about 45 minutes before closing. Sometimes places can get weird if you come in the last 30-45 minutes before closing but the staff here was super nice. We ordered a few different things to go. Wings, burger, hot dog and chili cheese tots. Everything was so dang good and quality. The cook was so nice and boxed our chili and cheese separate from the tots so they wouldn’t get soggy. Just an all around good spot. Good food and good people. We would literally drive out of our way to come here again when traveling LA area.“

“We needed a place to eat dinner late on Friday night and found Henri's. They were closing in 15 minutes but gladly allowed us to sit and order. We didn't want to make it hard for them so we just ordered breakfast for dinner and it was delicious! We are picky in our bacon and hashbrowns and want them cooked very crispy. They were the best we ever had! The next day we came back for breakfast for real and pretty much ordered the same thing. Unfortunately it must have been a different cook. Although it was good and plentiful it was not cooked as nicely as the night before. Definitely NOT a deal breaker cause Henri's is really very good and the staff is exceptionall - both visits. We could tell it is a local favorite and that is always a good sign.“

Bbq ribs and clam chowder are good, too. They do great burgers, too. But really, it's a comfort hub, with comfy booths and consistent cuisine. The bar is always hopping with a 50s and up crowd.“

“This place feels seedy from the outside and dated and unwelcoming when you step in. Don’t let that fool or stop you. Once you’re in and seated you realize most everyone is a regular, and the staff is warm and welcoming. And the food is seriously stellar. I had the Bullet (their original recipe since 1954), my girlfriend the Huevos Rancheros. You can taste the time and care that goes into making everything from scratch. I don’t usually go places more than once but look forward to becoming a regular here and trying more on the menu.“
