New American Restaurants in Northridge, CA

“My husband and I usually go during happy hour for their poke nachos and crispy brussel sprouts but have tried a few other things. Everything we've tried has been delicious but occasionally varies in preparation quality. We went on March 18th and ordered the poke nachos but they were not as good. The portion was a lot smaller than usual, so we decided to order another one. The second one came out great (I included a picture of the one prepared correctly) and that's when we realized they left off ingredients from the first one sent. They were still good but it was interesting that the two plates were that different. We didn't mention this to our waiter and I'm sure they would have been accommodating but maybe plates should be checked for quality before they're delivered?

Another note, we usually sit at the bar but we got a table the last time since the bar was packed. We were obviously fine with this but the cleanliness was extremely lacking. The menus had food on them and greasy fingerprints. I'm also not sure why the booths are never wiped down?? The tables are cleaned but the food just lands on the seats. Then you're wondering what else isn't cleaned, look around, and notice all the other spots that aren't wiped down. So gross.“

“We used to eat at Black Angus frequently when we lived in the neighborhood. Dining there last night before an event at the Soraya, we remembered why. The food is SO TASTY! We shared the steak and lobster trio (SUCH a deal!) and everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The wedge salad is better than ones you will get at a fancy steak house. And the molasses bread served warm with the soft butter is the best comfort food. And we always love the Happy Hour Martini and Margarita: Martini is super cold and the blue cheese olives are tasty. The only problem last night was the salad coming out with the entree. Other than that - a great meal at an unbeatable price! Can't wait to have an excuse to dine in again.“

“At 1:40am I went in to get some chicken fingers, I ordered the food on the kiosk, I sat down for 2 min and my food was ready. I come to this location once a week and it never disappoints. I always get the caniac combo and it never disappoints. The customer service is fast and the hospitality is outstanding. The BOH and FOH are always on it for this reason I give this canes location 5 stars in every aspect. Who ever the General Manager is, he or she is doing an outstanding job. No wonder this location sells a lot every week.“
