“Just finished my birthday dinner at Mountain Oaks Cafe in Oakhurst and WOW… highly recommend! The four girls, my husband, and I all ordered something different, and every single plate was absolutely packed with flavor. Hands down the best chicken fried steak I’ve ever had from a restaurant. The pull-apart ribs were perfectly tender and full of flavor, and the tri-tip was smoked to perfection. the youngest was completely lost in her pizza — which honestly looked amazing — and every bite around the table got rave reviews. The portions were huge too… we’re all heading home with lunch for tomorrow! If you’re anywhere near Oakhurst, do yourself a favor and check out Mountain Oaks Cafe. Great food, great portions, and a perfect birthday dinner. We’ll definitely be back!”

“From Kansas City, so very picky when it comes to BBQ. This by far is the best BBQ we've had since moving too Lake Havasu City Arizona. An easy 5 s! Meat was smoked perfect, spicy sauce was spot on ana the jalapeño mac and cheese with bacon on top was delicious!”

The staff were all very friendly and attentive to our needs. We don’t get much chance to dine at true 5 star experience and this Chef and staff enticed us to return very soon!”

“The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and engaging, and the locals are incredibly gracious and social. Oh, and bar has a fireplace! Everyone was so fun and nice I'm actually a little upset that this place can't be my local bar because I'm an out of towner. 10/10 will definitely return when I'm in the area.”

“on a 10000 mile cross country trip and 1st time in Yosemite, staying at the Sierra Sky Ranch. they recommended SGB for lunch, and it did not disappoint. our hardest task was deciding what to choose as there were so many delicious items to choose from we decided on two different burgers and shared. both were delicious and cooked perfectly. the staff, energy, vibe and music were all fantastic. I would highly recommend SGB to all for a great meal and beer.”

“I highly recommend Idle Hour winery and kitchen in Oakhurst. I found out about the winery when looking for a place to eat in the area on the Internet and I’m so glad I did. It was one of my more memorable meals. I had one of their wines, which was outstanding with a salmon dinner accompanied by a very large salad. I usually don’t have dessert, but, being gluten-free, I decided to try their flourless chocolate cake. I’ve never had one I’ve particularly liked, but I doubt that I will be able to resist that dessert the next time I go for dinner, although I will have to try their Sunday brunch next.”

“was kinda just killing time while my friend got gas and saw this little store, honestly didnt expect it to be so charming. walked in for the hell of it and the froyo was super fresh and creamy with this really good mango topping that was way better than what you get at chain places. They also had some cute impulse buy stuff near the register that I ended up grabbing becuase why not, the lady working was super freindly too. definitely glad I stopped, would absolutly come back next time im in the area.”

“Such a nice and lovely place to eat!!!! We stayed at the hotel for a few days and had breakfast and dinner there. I can highly recommend the Oatmeal with fresh fruit and cappuccino with oatmilk (breakfast) and the pita with hummus and the caramelised carrots with ricotta (dinner). Also, the ambience is really comfortable and I'd definitely come back.”

“Food is excellent. Fried shrimp is large butterflied and panko style. Cooked perfectly so still soft inside not hard and encased in pancake batters like so many others.”

“Always clean inside and out, large portions of food, very clean and sanitary, friendly owners and such hard workers , was great seeing some of the ladies working here again , from before Pete retired you won't be disappointed”

“I used to enjoy Jack in the Box. I have noticed that within the last year the service is poor and sometimes down right rude. Tonight I placed my order and watched as Amanda was mopping the floors then without washing her hands handle the food all while the manager stood by. I think that is it for me. I don’t think I can eat there ever again. They need someone from corporate to act as a random customer and see it for themselves.”

“Price great $10. 55+ Omelette portion was large and surprisingly tasty! Poor waitress had 12 tables....so it was slow, but she was very cheery in spite of her load! They should hire more!! Don't take advantage of her!”
