“Very cute cafe with pastries and a hot/cold drink menu. I really enjoyed the genoise and London fog, great on a cold rainy day. The Christmas tree was up and twinkly lights about really made it a perfect cozy cafe to hide in.
Wheelchair accessibility: On the first level, very accessible with wide berth around the counter.“

“Mohkha House is a delicious, lowkey coffee house with various vegan options. In terms of which plant based milks they carry, they currently carry: Oat, Almond, and Soy milk. I believe there is a 50 cent upcharge for choosing any of the plant based milks but well worth it to expand your options on the menu. In regard to their pastries, they have a few savory vegan pastries along with plenty of sweet gluten free / vegan cheesecakes or vegan chocolate cakes. The standout was certainly the savory chocolate chip cookie with sesame seeds. The space is very spacious and welcoming as there are plenty of places to relax on a couch with your food and work on your laptop/notebooks simultaneously. They close at 9:30pm every day too which a major plus considering most coffee houses are closed after 5 or 6pm.“

“I usually swing in for a drip coffee, always greeted with a smile by the staff, and the overall atmosphere is chill and welcoming.
When the weekend comes, they always request Jaffa coffee, for a juice and pastry.
Really great spot to visit when in Berkeley.
Kid-friendliness: It’s a very chill vibe, and welcoming.“

“Visiting from NJ and decided to walk from my hotel for coffee vs. hotel's coffee. Was greeted warmly by the young lady behind the counter. The music and decor is lovely. I had the rosemilk cake, the Heyma latte, and the Yemeni tea. I didn't want to leave! Also, as a Muslim, it was nice to see representation in the art. Wonderful!“

“Love this neighborhood spot!! The owners and staff are so attentive. There's plenty of options for breakfast and lunch at reasonable prices. They have some outside seating for those who want to get some sun. Easy to find free parking on the side street. The vibe is chill - I often see people lounging, reading, or playing games in there with their friends. Come support this gem!“

“HERCULES is a great place to live crime rate is low compared to other cities . But it would help a lot to encourage neighborhood watch “ MODESTY ASIDE I DO . I have knocked to several houses esp when I was still working swing shift I kept my eyes open n still doing it if garages are open when I go hone from work n 1 time called the police station when 1 of the neighbor’s garage was opened n no one answered when I knocked her door . Let’s have a neighborhood watch all over “ HERCULES THIS IS OUR HOME AND WE HAVE PROTECT IT AS WELL AS THE PEOPLE WHO LIVES HERE . OUR CITY OFFICIALS SHOULD BE TOUGH LIKE ( MANILA PHILIPPINES ) MAYOR FRANCISCO DOMOGOSO HE MADE N MAKING MANILA A NICE PLACE TO LIVE IN . MANILA IS HOW MANY TIMES BIGGER THAN HERCULES !! HE WAS JUST A MAYOR FOR 7 MOS BUT MADE A LOT OF CHANGES NO WONDER PEOPLE LOVE HIM SO MUCH NOT ONLY IN MANILA BUT ALL OVER THE WORLD .“

“First impression, I like it here more than most of the starbucks I have visited before. The place is a little small and good for people who like to sit differently and want to listen to nice music. The latte I ordered was warm good enough for me to enjoy drinking it while having my “Kouign Amann - Chocolate” and it was small and 50% of its advertised picture, but surprisingly, it was delicious and nothing like I taste before.
I did give 3 stars to services, because it felt like no one was welcoming me there, I was hanging around a little bit and the baristas were deep in their brewing coffees, so I ended up ordering the food digitally by the monitor! Maybe a little more love to new people coming over welcoming them, can go a long way.
Overall, 4 out of 5! Cheers!“

“I stopped in for the first time last week… People working there are super nice. Latte was really good, I don’t know what beans they were using but it was delicious. I had a breakfast sandwich on ciabatta that was HUGE. I saved half for my lunch later!

“Nice little cafe located in downtown Oakland that’s a unique experience from your typical third wave coffee roasters in the Bay Area. Delay is a middle eastern coffee shop so they specialize in Yemeni coffees and teas.
I tried the Adeni chai which was a solid choice. The tea had milk flavors and some spices which added to the drink, though I wish the spice flavor was a bit stronger. Next time I’d try one of their coffee based drinks instead.
The inside is nice and clean and had plenty of sitting area too if you’re looking to get some work done.“

“Excellent coffee and exceptional house made baked goods! Everyone who works there is super friendly and they love dogs, which is important for our family, especially when we're en route to daycare or the park with the pup and kiddo. My only wish is that they had a space with a nice seating area so I could soak up the good vibes for longer.“

“I came on a beautiful weekend afternoon. They had a DJ in the garden. The crowd was young and seemed to be in a post caffeination party mood. I mostly came because I wanted to try a masterpiece coffee! They served me an americano and called it a coffee…? It looked kind of like a few college kids bought a La Morzocco and a cart, so I dont think they have the gear to make coffee. The americano was ok, but over-extracted. The one at Strada is much better. Still if you’re looking for good vibes, but not expecting coffee, or a masterpiece, it’s worth stopping by 👍“

“We’ve got two pour over - Ethiopia and Rwanda. Both had a slightly acidic taste and delicious! The pastry, cinnamon bun, was so good. Soft and not overly sweet. Very tasty. It felt like European-style bread. Despite only two seats available, we still enjoyed our coffee on site. Staff was very friendly.“

“First time here and loved it! The chicken wrap was so good. Staff were friendly and even gave us cheesecake while we waited — really nice of them. The space is cozy, perfect for hanging out. Food is fresh, drinks are not too sweet — just right. I’ll be back for sure!“
“I've booked this venue twice for work events (team offsites, strategy planning retreats) and have had nothing short of the best experience both times! The Sway team is extremely professional, responsive, and accommodating -- even arranging the furniture to fit all of our day's activities, and providing coolers for drinks that we brought ourselves! The location is great -- close to many restaurants for breakfast/lunch options and neighborhood parking all day. We've loved using this beautiful space and couldn't recommend it more.“

“Kudos to the crew at Thornhill Cafe. Thank you for always taking good care of me. I love your green smoothies. They're refreshing and just make you feel good and your breakfast bagels are awesome. It's my favorite place to stop when I'm working in the hills of Oakland. Doesn't seem to matter how many people are in there. You still get us in and out in no time. You're the best!!“

“This cafe is really cute, and the park right outside makes for amazing vibes! The coffee is pretty good, and the food is nice. Service is okay. Their matcha latte tends to have a lot of clumpy matcha in it.
Also, be aware that this place is very popular (especially on the weekends) and it can be hard to find a table to sit at.“
“So excited to have another coffee shop in the area that isn’t Starbucks. I got the seasonal pumpkin spice iced latte and it’s delicious—i was worried it might be too sweet but it’s perfectly balanced and strong!!!! excited to have this in the neighborhood :)“

“Just tried the chicken & nopal empanadas…..SO GOOD!! Packed with flavor and filling. 🙌🏻 I liked how the actual masa (outer flour coating) is not thick but rather thin making the empanada balanced. I need to go back and get more, i’m obsessed!! Also note, they’re not greasy - most empanadas are deep friend and I like how these aren’t!“
“I came by while waiting to pick someone up and got a latte.
It was delicious, probably my favorite latte I’ve had in the Bay Area (I got the date one).
I enjoyed it in their living room like space while flipping through some books that they have in their shelf.
Def looking forward to trying their other lattes!
The service I received was excellent. The art was beautiful, including the one in the bathroom. There’s even a bidet!
Looks like there are regulars and that laptop work and camping for hours is welcomed.“

“Not the best matcha I ever had, but better than most other matcha places in the area. The strawberry matcha was very good, but could have used some more strawberry puree in it. I wanted the double matcha latte, but it wasn't in stock. *sad* Atmosphere seemed good for studying, but didn't stay. Service was very quick and ordered on snack pass. Will be back when I'm in the area.“

“The perfect stop in Hercules, with a gorgeous view of the water. Had a taro milk tea, a chicken empanada (get the chimichurri!) & a guava alfajor — all delicious! “Best espresso of any of the highwire locations I have been too. It is a darker roast than I like, but they have a great recipe so it doesn't get sour or bitter. My only complaint, not enough seats, then again it is in a plant store, not a standalone shop, which leads to some amusing scenarios with entitled people like the scene I saw. So don't wonder far from the stand even if there is a line.
An upper middle class woman took a drink, sipped from it AND THEN ASKED "is this the oat latte for Sarah?" They called out the name of the drink and the person who it was for, CAPPUCCINO FOR JOYCE. Who takes a sip from a drink and then ask if it is yours. They did not apologize, making excuses, and saying oops is not an apology. This after having taken a sip from it. I would have charged her for it if I worked in that stand.
But the baristas there are super nice and friendly, even answering my questions about their espresso ratio etc. would“

“I simply did not expect to have the best bagel I've ever had on a lazy Saturday afternoon.
Walked in with my wife to a cozy atmosphere. Warm colors, good smells, the owner's kids having fun at one of the tables. Felt like walking into a home you were a guest in.
Great selection of bagels, we arrived pretty close to closing so some of the more interesting options were expectedly sold out. I went with the open faced turkey avocado melt on a gourmet pesto bagel.
The bagel was perfectly toasted, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Great amount of turkey and avocado covered in cheese that was just the right amount of toasted and melted. With just enough tomato to keep it from feeling dry. Topped with onion that provided the zing it needed.
Will be coming back.
Kid-friendliness: Considering owners kids were playing at a table, pretty kid friendly.“

“The food here is absolutely amazing. Best Ethiopian overall ive ever had. Their collard greens and green lentil dish are both seriously the best ive ever had for those dishes in Ethiopian cuisine. Everything else is still show stopping. When we first went here, there was a dish with red sauce and I wasn't a huge fan - but i also am personally not a dark meaty-taste sauce person, and all the dishes here have otherwise been amazing. Even the sambusas are great! They could use a little more variety, maybe served with the green lentil dish as a side even or with a sauce- but even by themselves are amazing. Long story short, Desta is a must visit!“

Wonderful family run cafe. Popular with many Glenview elementary families in the mornings before school. Excellent selection of coffees, teas and breakfast pastries and bagels. Great to sit inside or outside. And nice spot to get some work done. Customer service is personal and so kind. As we are regulars, they recognize our son, and they always say hello to him.
Parking: Street parking on Park Blvd varies. Sometimes easy to get a spot in the morning if needed, sometimes a bit challenging later in the day.
Kid-friendliness: Very welcoming

“Since this Cafe is so close to my house, I love taking my friends here when they come visit. The town of Orinda always gives me this feeling of leisure and grabbing a bite at Cafe Teatro helps to calm my mind. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available but I prefer outdoor for the sense of serenity (and because I get to look at my motorcycle while I eat). Love the Melts and Espresso here!“
