And my salad was the perfect size to complement the large portion of the hot Turkey. I added a little Tabasco cause that what I do. I thought I was finished until the little waitress offered dessert 🍨. I ordered a piece of their home made apple 🍎 pie 🎉🎊😱. People let me tell you this is a bucket lister. With out a doubt the best apple pie I have ever had. And yes they make it from scratch. Great lunch experience today ! I am a breakfast snob and am so glad I found this place. I had the Lemon & Ricotta pancakes. WOW. My hubby had the hearty plate with 2 eggs, sausage, PERFECTLY crisp and salted potatoes and a beautiful biscuit plus a side of crispy perfect bacon.
So siimple but soooo yummy thanks to their care to details.

It is close quarters, so you'll need to be comfy with tight tables and close quarters. Also, we initially chose the place because it had outdoor seating and we wanted to bring our dog. However, it was a bit drizzly so we decided to leave the dog in the car. Worked out fine because there was only 1 large and two 2 seater sidewalk tables. All occupied at the time of our arrival.

Service was fine. Nothing notable, but certainly nice people. The ambiance and food bring me to a 5 out of 5.“

“I wanted to write the perfect review but I won't be able to do that. The people there were so nice and so warm. The location is in an old house in historic downtown Pacific Grove. But I can't let this go, the prices were high (as expected) and then they did the old trick of, "Did you want chorizo with that"....without telling you it's a $6 upcharge for two teaspoons added on top of your $17 plate of chiliquilies. So for $23, you get a full plate, I mean piled high of tortilla chips covered in a homemade red sauce (delicious). A table or teaspoonful of queso fresco per the recipe (delicious), two fried eggs, and sour cream on the side, (awesome). Most recipes for this dish that I've eaten will offer a choice of protein. Chorizo is a very common breakfast protein for this recipe. I would argue that it should be part of the recipe regardless but if you ask people, "Do you want chorizo on that?", many will say yes for the reasons I mentioned above. But when the bill comes watch out. It was a $6 upcharge to my $17 choice of breakfast. If it's an upcharge you have to tell me in advance. "Do I want it?", is one question. "Do I want it for the price you will charge me?", has to be a separate question. If it's some amount that high, an extra 1/3 of the price of my breakfast, then you shoudl feel extremely obligated to tell me how much. Don't make me feel like an a-hole bringing up your sketchy business upcharge practices to you in the middle of a super-packed breakfast/brunch rush when you hand me the bill. I didn't bring it up but I wanted to, very badly. As good as the meal was the experience left a bad taste in my mouth and more than a week later I'm still shaking my head about it. For a place that thrives on tourist and word-of-mouth business, there's no reason for this type of shady business antics which leads someone like me who otherwise really enjoyed this place to go to the trouble of leaving a bad review. I probably won't go back due to this.“

“We were driving through Pacific Grove and we were going to drive to Carmel for sushi but we said how about right here and we looked up Sushi in PG and we saw Zum . What a wonderful lunch, very fresh and high quality food, service and ambience. Love this place!!“

“Me and my husband were looking for a good fish and chips and found this Amazing place. The food was great. I ordered the prawns with fish and chips and my husband ordered the greens apple salad with chicken and bacon bits. Both were delicious. Our waitress Gabby was so delightful. “This is our second year coming to Beach House restaurant to celebrate my husband's Birthday. The restaurant has beautiful views both inside dining and outdoor. The food is delicious and service is great. This time was no different. The ONLY thing that kept me from giving 5 stars on the food was I had the Korean BBQ plate. Everything was delicious flavor , however the meat was supposed to be “Prime Rib chuncks”, the meat didn't taste like prime rib and it certainly didn't have the tenderness of prime rib. Perhaps use a different cut of meat that would better suit this dish. The flavor of the meat and the Kimchi Risotto was fantastic! See you next year!“
