“I tried something new today, the hot Turkey open face sandwich smothered in a wonderful mushroom gravy. OMG 😱 So good ! And my salad was the perfect size to complement the large portion of the hot Turkey. I added a little Tabasco cause that what I do. I thought I was finished until the little waitress offered dessert 🍨. I ordered a piece of their home made apple 🍎 pie 🎉🎊😱. People let me tell you this is a bucket lister. With out a doubt the best apple pie I have ever had. And yes they make it from scratch. Great lunch experience today ! I ordered a piece of pie for a friend who is not feeling well and dropped it off to her. Thanks Victorian Corner for such a pleasant atmosphere to have my lunch 🙏.“

“Ordered take out twice during my month long vacation in PG. First order was 5 stars. Fish & Chips and artichoke appetizer. Hot, freshly prepared, delicious! 2nd (repeat) order not so much☹️. I was in-between the lunch and dinner hour and my food had been sitting around awhile I was disappointed! because I was so looking forward to freshly prepared fish & chips“

“I wanted to write the perfect review but I won't be able to do that. The people there were so nice and so warm. The location is in an old house in historic downtown Pacific Grove. But I can't let this go, the prices were high (as expected) and then they did the old trick of, "Did you want chorizo with that"....without telling you it's a $6 upcharge for two teaspoons added on top of your $17 plate of chiliquilies. So for $23, you get a full plate, I mean piled high of tortilla chips covered in a homemade red sauce (delicious). A table or teaspoonful of queso fresco per the recipe (delicious), two fried eggs, and sour cream on the side, (awesome). Most recipes for this dish that I've eaten will offer a choice of protein. Chorizo is a very common breakfast protein for this recipe. I would argue that it should be part of the recipe regardless but if you ask people, "Do you want chorizo on that?", many will say yes for the reasons I mentioned above. But when the bill comes watch out. It was a $6 upcharge to my $17 choice of breakfast. If it's an upcharge you have to tell me in advance. "Do I want it?", is one question. "Do I want it for the price you will charge me?", has to be a separate question. If it's some amount that high, an extra 1/3 of the price of my breakfast, then you shoudl feel extremely obligated to tell me how much. Don't make me feel like an a-hole bringing up your sketchy business upcharge practices to you in the middle of a super-packed breakfast/brunch rush when you hand me the bill. I didn't bring it up but I wanted to, very badly. As good as the meal was the experience left a bad taste in my mouth and more than a week later I'm still shaking my head about it. For a place that thrives on tourist and word-of-mouth business, there's no reason for this type of shady business antics which leads someone like me who otherwise really enjoyed this place to go to the trouble of leaving a bad review. I probably won't go back due to this.“

“This is a cute, cozy yet bustling sushi spot, always buzzing with people. Despite the crowd, you’ll get a table quickly thanks to the staff, who are running around efficiently to keep things moving. The indoor space is a bit cramped - but that’s part of the charm. There’s also outdoor seating with a fireplace, which is a nice touch.
We ordered the Creamy Crab, Salmon Skin Maki, Monterey Roll, and Hawaiian. They were served on a boat, and the presentation was impressive. Of the four, the Monterey Roll and Creamy Crab were the standouts - absolutely delicious. The Salmon Skin Maki was a bit too crunchy and chewy because of the skin, and the Hawaiian was just okay. The Maki rolls were quite filling, so we left satisfied.
We’ll definitely be back for more! The staff are doing a commendable job - kudos to everyone for staying on top of things and keeping those happy faces.“

“In complete honesty I was in Pacific Grove for a long weekend and searched high and low for reliably good food every day, and after many attempts to find something, Monarch Pub had the most reliably good food good drink and good service. Would recommend!“

“Stayed in Monterey for the weekend with hubby and we went here for breakfast. The food was delicious and the service was great!! The place inside is small, so depending on the time you show up, you might have to wait for a seat. We didnt wait long because we sat outside on a beautiful gloomy day. We love the cold weather, so it was perfect for us. Our waitress let us know about that days special, which was chilaquiles, and Im glad I ordered them because they were GOOD!! My husband loved his chicken and waffle. And my favorote was their chocolate chip pancakes with caramelized bananas on top. *chefs kiss*“

“My husband and I had an excellent experience tonight. We didn’t have a reservation and were able to snag 2 seats at the bar. Arturo, the bartender, was precious. He was so friendly, happy, and was extremely attentive… he refilled my soda water multiple times without me having to ask. That kind of service used to be an expectation, but the industry today isn’t quite what it was. The food we ordered was delicious too! Definitely order a cocktail, the burrata, and pappardelle (we got a lamb one and a veggie one)! We will be back.“

“In the scenic town of Monterey, nestled among the more prominent establishments, you'll find a hidden gem, the unassuming shack known as The Grill on Lover's Point. This quaint and cozy eatery, perched right on the ocean's edge, offers an unexpectedly delightful culinary experience. The menu, though simple, showcases the art of grilling in its purest form. During my visit, I sampled one of their mouth-watering burgers, a choice that I now recall with great fondness. The patty was expertly grilled to just the right temperature, achieving a balance of a juicy interior and a beautifully charred exterior. It was a symphony of flavors that reminded me of the intrinsic beauty of simple, unpretentious food. The Grill on Lover's Point doesn't rely on fancy décor or elaborate presentations; instead, it thrives on the natural beauty of its surroundings. The rhythmic cadence of the crashing waves and the enticing aroma of the grill form the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable seaside dining experience. In essence, The Grill on Lover's Point serves as a testament to the beauty of simplicity. It's a place where the love for grilling and the passion for quality shine through in every dish. I wholeheartedly recommend their grilled burger, a dish that manages to rise above the ordinary and delight the senses in every way.In conclusion, The Grill on Lover's Point isn't merely a spot to grab a quick bite; it's a destination, an experience, and a tribute to the joy of seaside grilling. Do yourself a favor and don't miss out on this unique place when in Monterey.“
“This is an amazing place. I love to clientele and the staff is super friendly. The staff wasn't even pushy and was extremely helpful. The products were great tasting and made to order. The prices are reasonable for a shake/smoothie. It's one of the hidden gems of Pacific Grove area. It's a must see to enjoy kinda place.“

“Hands down the best hummus around. Homemade pita bread and the rest of the food was delicious. My complaint that I did not share with the staff is that while we were eating, even though the restaurant was fairly empty, they seated a group of 4 just a table away from us. Unfortunately for us, one of the two ladies must have bathed in the entire 55 gallons her perfume came in.“
