I have to say. if you’re looking for a real Brazilian superfood açaí experience, you’re going to love this place. It’s one of the best açaí bowls I’ve had outside of Brazil. “So much to say… but ultimately, Colossus in Long Beach is WONDERFUL!! The BEST BLT I’ve ever had. Because they use high quality ingredients! Their Soft-Scrambled Egg Toast is divine. And everything is beautifully fresh. I love their country bread, baguettes, olive cumin bread, dinner rolls… but I have so much more to try Their pastries are scrumptious: Pecan Sticky Bun, Cardamom Bun, Kouign Amann, Financier, Marzipan Croissant, Sea Salt Brownie, OG Chocolate Chip Cookie. It’s all amazing and I’ve brought a number of friends to show off this incredible Belmont Shore Bakery. On Friday nights Colossus serves pizza into the night. Again, high-quality ingredients make their pizzas delicious. Plus they have interesting and unique combinations. They are tip free because their starting wage is $21/hr. Great customer service. Cute little space with some lovely specialty spice mixes, food items, merch, and wine. Indoor and outdoor seating, and they serve tasty coffees and teas. Colossus feels like a little bit of Europe on 2nd Street.“

“Lovely place. Unfortunately for us, we've been passing this restaurant by for years, as there is almost always a small crowd waiting outside for a table. However, today we took a chance, parked on the street near the restaurant & ventured inside. -- The decor is not fancy, but the atmosphere is friendly, light & inviting. And, the smells coming from the kitchen, as well as the custom coffee drinks was enticing.
-- Our waitress was very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, explained several dishes, answered questions we had about drinks, menu options, made solid recommendations, and easily took our orders. -- The drinks arrived fairly quickly, followed a few minutes later by our requested orders. Our meals were hot & freshly prepared as ordered (& had not been left sitting under warming lights.) The items we chose were very tasty, the fresh fruit cups were chilled & appeared to be prepped shortly before the meal was served. Very nice. Long before we had finished eating, we'd decided we would be returning to this hidden little gem on PCH to adventure further into the menu & sample some additional treats prepared by the chef & staff. “A delicious made from scratch falafel in a great sandwich. Friendly staff. Since my first review I have returned and tried their Chicken and Cheese sandwich. Even better then the falafel sandwich! It is a chicken salad sandwich with lots of yummy chicken salad and Swiss cheese. I had their regular French fries 🍟 Very tasty. Again the staff was very friendly and helpful. “We stumbled upon this little café by chance while driving from the airport — and what a hidden gem it turned out to be! I honestly envy the office workers who get to have this place nearby every day.

It's a small café, but everything they serve is top-tier culinary art — the sandwiches, coffee, and salads are absolutely delicious. And the soups… just wow! We tried the pumpkin and broccoli soups — both incredibly tasty and nourishing. My 7-year-old son usually won’t touch broccoli, but he loved their broccoli soup and ate it with great pleasure.

We've only been there a couple of times over the past year, but it’s definitely on our list for every future trip to Los Angeles. Can’t wait to come back!“

Best coffee shop so far in Torrance area as far as I know. We've been enjoying Cafe Dolce since they opened. Enjoying cafe Cortado and my wife enjoys Highball Espresso. Every Sunday we enjoy Cafe Dolce.“

I love stopping by for the best acai bowls and smoothies while on the pier. They also have wide variety of snacks for grab n go. Service is always lightning fast and friendly.

“This location can be a little confusing as it is next to a church, but they have a parking lot in back. They also have two dosages, one is like a lounge and the other is the actual restaurant
The service is wonderful and I even received a hug from the owner.
I had thecombo pho with brisket, beg round and tendon. It was so delicious. The broth was clean and not oily. A nice large bowl, almost overflowing. A really nice plate of veggies, including culantro.

My brother had the chicken porridge. It too came in a large bowl with a nice plate of veggies too.

Upon sitting you're served a nice large cup of iced jasmine tea. I also ordered the iced coffee with sweetened condensed milk. Delicious!

“Gum Tree Shop & Café is a small café and shop just a short walk from the Strand in Hermosa Beach. It’s been around for a while and feels very much like a local neighborhood spot.

Parking was easy right out front, which made the visit even more convenient. The café has outdoor seating, and you can sit with your coffee and feel the ocean air, with a steady flow of people and dogs passing by.

We ordered at the counter and had coffees, avocado toast with fruit, and a breakfast burrito. The food was fresh and straightforward, and the service was friendly and efficient.

The attached shop is a nice addition, with a thoughtful selection of home goods, cookbooks, and small gifts — an easy place to pick up something for a birthday or housewarming.

It does get a bit chilly in the morning, so bringing a light layer helps. Overall, a reliable Hermosa Beach stop for a casual breakfast or coffee after a walk along the beach.“

“What a gem in the middle of Redondo Blvd! Family owned bakery with comfort in every way. Went in to grab a quick breakfast before a gig nearby and was blown away by the bagels! It smells of Indian Spices, warm and comforting, and I loved their bagel sandwich so much I savored it. My husband could not contain his love for his sandwich and gobbled it. The workers/owners are amazing! So kind, lovely customer service and very cool! What a great local spot for sweet or savory! If you’re a tea lovers their Masala Chai was HEAVENLY! I got it iced since it was so hot today, but I’d imagine it’s delicious any way they serve it! Perfection! What a treat on this workday! “I’m basing my review on two different cake donuts from two different visits….One was chocolate with vanilla icing, the other crumb-top—both of excellent donuts. The cafe also serves coffee, breakfast, sandwiches, but I came for the donuts.

The cafe itself is very clean, good music playing, booth tables lining the windows, upgraded with a digital menu board. Nothing fancy, yet nicely upgraded interiors with tasteful finishes. It’s a perfect traditional Los Angeles donut shop that has invested in offering a comfortable cafe experience with above average food.

Next time I’m ordering coffee and more donuts, maybe a sandwich, and bringing something to read and stay a while.“

“This place kept popping up on my IG feed, so I thought I’d give it a try. We stopped by around lunchtime and ordered a matcha and a salted brown butter latte. Both drinks were great! I’m not usually a matcha fan, but theirs was really smooth. We paired them with a coffee cake and a croissant, which went perfectly with the drinks. This is definitely going to be my new quick stop before work!“

As an update, we actually came back or breakfast and we were equally impressed with the food (combo plate & bagel sandwich) with good coffee. Would definitely choose this over the over priced cafe at Holiday Inn. It is only 10 min walk from Holiday Inn“
