“The spot is very casual and the selection of brews is wonderful. If you plan to eat, get there early since the Taco Truck is the only food option and sells out of popular items quickly. We didn't order until 8pm and by then they were out of Fish and Carnitas.
It is a great spot to bring your dog. Our deaf dog can be reactive and having the large picnic tables leaves plenty of space for other dogs to be nearby without being so close that it's an issue.“

“Ya gotta go to the Trident Room at the Hotel Del Monte on the Naval Post Graduate School campus/grounds. The building is old and simply amazing. Check out the huge ballroom before going down stairs to the bar at the Trident Room. When we went inside for drinks and appetizers on a Saturday night during Car Week in Monterey County, we were greeted by several bar keeps, waiter/servers and such. All three guys and the lady working the bar/tables were beyond polite, courtesy, spirited and had their acts together. It really seemed as though they were happy to be there and enjoyed their jobs. We had some great Manhattans and good wings and tomato soup. You must check out the history on this place and this room. I bet lots of sea stories and war stories have been discussed here. A worthwhile stop here indeed.“

“My wife and I had a wonderful time during a day-trip last Sunday, 4/12/26. Our server did a great job of attending to our every whim and request! The ambience was fantastic and even though it rained a little, moving into the bar area was another experience in itself. We can't thank em enough for giving us such a memorable experience!“

“Ok. Segovia’s is the kind of place that’s getting harder and harder to find.

I moved back to the area from Boston thinking this kind of place didn’t exist. It’s a real neighborhood bar, and it’s been one for a long time.

People know each other. Somebody’s always got a crazy story going, somebody else just got off work at the same place you just had dinner, and you’ll see them unwinding at the end of the bar, and if you’re new nobody makes it weird, you just end up part of the conversation.

Kat and Ali run the bar and they’re honestly some of the best around. Not just fast and good at making drinks. It’s how they treat people. They listen, they’re straight with you, they keep an eye on the room so nobody gets overserved or left out or taken advantage of. That kind of integrity behind a bar is rare and they make it look easy.

Brandon Segovia deserves credit for that. The place has been in his family for generations, and you can tell he takes that seriously. There are regulars who met here and are now close friends, some of them for years. That doesn’t happen by accident.

Lots of bars around here. From Ocean to Fremont. Very few that have been around this long and still actually mean something to the people who go to them. Segovia’s is one of them, and it’s worth your time. If you’re in the area, don’t miss it.“
